A few studies have examined the relationship between living arrangements and mental health status among older Korean immigrants in the United States and older Koreans in South Korea. This study attempts to fill this gap by conducting a comparative study to understand the relationship between living arrangements and psychological distress. Survey data from older Koreans between the ages of 60 and 79 from the two countries (N= 480) was analyzed descriptively and in hierarchical multiple regressions. This study found that among older Korean immigrants in the United States 26.4 % of those living alone and 7.3 % of those living with a spouse only reported 'severe' psychological distress while their counterparts in South Korea 20.0 % of those living alone and 20.6 % of those living with a spouse only reported 'severe' psychological distress. The hierarchical multivariate analysis reveled that older Koreans living alone are not significant predictor of psychological distress in both countries. Interestingly, older Korean immigrants living with a spouse only and living with others are significant predictors of psychological distress. This study also contributes to the existing literature by searching for diverse conditions that lead to mental health problems among older Koreans in both countries.

R version 3.5.1 program was used to identify the effectiveness of psychological mediating by December 30, 2018, while the Korean and foreign literature published by PubMed, EMBASE, Ovid-MEDLINE, CINAHL, and Korean databases were searched. As a result, 12 studies with a total of 1,847 participants were analyzed in a total of 1,822 literature. The results showed that the overall effect size of psychological intervention for pain reduction in osteoarthritis patients was small effect -0.31(95% CI: -0.50, -0.11, p<.001). In the moderator analysis, the effect size showed a significant difference depending on the intervention type, intervention duration and the intervention provider. The funnel plot analysis was used to analyze the publication bias, and it was visually asymmetric but not asymmetric after the egger's regression test (bias = -3.24, p = .077). The results of this study suggest a standard of efficacy for psychological interventions to improve pain symptoms, which is a major symptom of osteoarthritis, although the number of studies included in the meta-analysis is low and has provided a clinical basis during intervention and intervention providers.

The aim of this study was to investigate how the psychological factors of human interrelation or human socialization are associated with the visual design based on sociological and psychological theories. To accomplish this goal, human socialization was examined on the basis of physiology, philosophy, and psychology. Then a case study was employed to assess how they function in the area of visual design. In literature, the sources of psychological factors of human socialization were categorized into 11 items including the sexual hedonic pursuit. These items were used for the evaluation of 40 printed media advertisements, all of which were the winners of the Korea Advertising Awards from 1994 to 2003. As a result, it was revealed that most advertisements responded to the items of adaptive value and cultural imprinting as biological bases. Also, it was discovered that the existential foundation of advertising has been based on mutual distrust and the payoff matrix as a mind of social unrest. In conclusions, it was illustrated that future advertising will remain based on adaptive value, cultural imprinting, social learning, and imitation learning, as long as advertising continue to hold its reason for existence.

As a result, this paper shows a nolinerar relationship which the low level of psychosocial well-being at non volunteer status is increasing to the paticular time spending, and then decreases after high level participation like U-shape. Male, over the 75 and not good health status has showed lower level of volunteer time spending. It can be founded that volunteering activity contributes to improve a psychosocial well-being in old life, but the desirable volunteer time spending is medial about 100-200 yearly not over the 700.

The unexpected increase of violent crimes in Korea urges people to look for more dynamic explanations of criminal behavior other than sociological eugenics such as a struggle between social classes or assimilation to deviant social environment. In this study, criminal behavior is treated as personal matter according to the tradition of psychological theories of crime rather than sociological phenomenon. Furthermore, aggression is supposed to be one of the most basic dispositional characteristics of violent acts. Therefore, this study explored the relationship between aggression measured by BPAQ and criminality evaluated based on seriousness of criminal offenses. On the other hand, the cross-validity of BPAQ was also investigated since prevalence and expressive forms of violence is known to vary across cultures and even within a society. The variance analyses and causal modeling presented that BPAQ had satisfactory level of cross-validity and dispositional aggression measured by BPAQ might have causal effect on criminality of Korean offenders. Additionally, a theoretical internal structure of BPAQ had been confirmed to be reasonable by confirmatory factor analyses.
