The Influences of Parental Psychological Control on Displaced Aggression -Mediating Effects of Internalized Shame and Rejection Sensitivity- (대학생이 지각한 부모의 심리적 통제가 전위공격성에 미치는 영향 : 내면화된 수치심과 거부민감성의 매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effect of internalized shame and rejection sensitivity between parental psychological control, and displaced aggression in college students. For this purpose, 406 data samples were collected from the college students. SPSS was used for the analysis of descriptive statistics, reliability, correlation, AMOS for the evaluation of structural equation model and the mediating effect, and Mplus for the double mediating effect. Following is the summarization of the study. First, the displaced aggression has a positive relation with parental psychological control, internalized shame, and rejection sensitivity. Also, there were positive relations between internalized shame and parental psychological control, parental psychological control and rejection sensitivity, and internalized shame and rejection sensitivity. Second, internalized shame has a full mediation effect between parental psychological control and displaced aggression. Third, rejection sensitivity has not a mediation effect between parental psychological control and displaced aggression. Fourth, internalized shame and rejection sensitivity were identified as double mediation variables between parental psychological control and displaced aggression. This result inspires the college student's displaced aggression and can be useful in college student's counseling settings. Meanings, limitations and suggest for future research were discussed.

The Relationship between Multi-cultural Family Husbands' Stress Related to their Wives and their Psychological Abuse (다문화가족 남편의 아내에 대한 스트레스와 심리적 학대의 관련성)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between multi-cultural family husbands' stress related to their wife and their psychological abuse based on the Stress theory of Lazarus et al. Data from 271 subjects that answered to all questions regarding the subjects' social demographic characteristics, and the husbands' stress related to their wife and their psychological abuse of their wife in statistical analyses. To analyze the data, a study model was set using multi-cultural family husbands' stress related to their wife as an independent variable and their psychological abuse of their wife as a dependent variable and the goodness-of-fit of the model for the data and the relationship between the variables were reviewed using a structural equation model. According to the results, the goodness-of-fit index of the model satisfied the statistical acceptable standard with CFI=0.909 and RMSEA=0.057. The relationship between the variables indicated that multi-cultural family husbands' stress related to their wife had significant effects on their psychological abuse of their wife. This result indicates the necessity of intervention for management of the husbands' stress in order to prevent multi-cultural family husbands' psychological abuse of their wife.

The Effects of Parenting Attitudes on Adolescents' Fandom Activities in the Times of Convergence: Focusing on the Mediating Effects of Psychological Factors and Life Satisfaction (융복합시대 부모양육태도가 청소년의 팬덤활동에 미치는 영향: 심리적 요인과 삶의 만족도의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of the study is to examine the effect of parenting attitudes on adolescents' fandom activities, and to prove the meditating effect of psychological factors and life satisfaction on the relationship between parenting attitudes and adolescents' fandom activities. The results are as follows: First, while negative parenting attitude influenced negatively adolescents' fandom activities, positive parenting attitude had no effect on them. Second, positive parenting attitude had negative effect on adolescents' psychological factors, but negative parenting attitude influenced positively them. Third, adolescents' psychological factors influenced positively their fandom activities. Fourth, adolescents' psychological factors had perfect mediating effect between positive parenting attitude and their fandom activities, and they also played partial mediating role between negative parenting attitude and their fandom activities.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships among intrinsic motivators, psychological empowerment, affective commitment, and service quality among hotel industry employees. For this study, data were collected from 233 hotel employees in Seoul Metropolitan City with self-administered questionnaires and analyzed using structural equation modelling technique. This study found that two job characteristics variables(job challenge and job autonomy) had positive effects on hotel employees' psychological empowerment; that three job characteristics variables(job challenge, job variety and job autonomy) and psychological empowerment had positive effects on hotel employees' organizational commitment; and that psychological empowerment and organizational commitment had positive effects on hotel employees' service quality.

  • The purpose of this article is to investigate how returning veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) develop psycho-social issues and describe how helping professionals can assist them with re-adapting to the community. Based on a literature review, the author explores the causes of psycho-social issues of returning veterans with PTSD, reviews various ways of helping, and proposes critical factors that helping professionals should be aware of when intervening in psycho-social issues of returning veterans with PTSD. It is found that psycho-social issues of returning veterans with PTSD are closely related to their distrust and aversion to authorities. Group therapy can be used as a viable intervention for alleviating PTSD symptoms and derived psycho-social issues in terms that veterans with PTSD tend to more open with other group members who can share and understand unique experiences.

Analysis of Effects of Rational and Emotional Advertising Appeals on Products from a View of Psychological Distance : Focusing on the Eye-Tracking Method (제품에 대한 심리적 거리감에 따른 이성적, 감성적 광고소구의 효과분석: 아이트래킹 방법을 중심으로)

  • Consumers possess their own psychological distance towards products. Based on the construal-level theory, this study aims to analyze which type of advertising appeal is more effective according to psychological distance. Also this study conducts neurophysiology experiment through eye-tracker. By using eye-tracking methods, participants' responses to products was measured and analyzed accordingly. Results revealed that consumers prefer rational appeals when the psychological distance is perceived near, while emotional appeals are preferred when the psychological distance is perceived far. In addition, eye movements measured in Visit Count(VC), Fixation Count(FC), and Total Fixation Duration(TFD) showed significant difference when participants are viewing preferred and non-preferred appeals.

The Moderating Effect of Psychological Flexibility on the Relationship between Perceived Stress and Depression in University Administration Staff (대학 행정직원의 지각된 스트레스와 우울 간의 관계에서 심리적 유연성의 조절효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to verify the moderating effects of psychological flexibility on the relationship between perceived stress and depression in university administration staff. A total of 186 participants completed the questionnaire. This data was analyzed using the SPSS program. The results of the analysis showed that perceived stress, positive perception and psychological flexibility had significant effects on depression, but negative perception didn't have significant effect on depression. The results verified the moderating effects of psychological flexibility on the relationship between perceived stress and depression. We discussed that the stress of university administration staff was more closely related to positive perception such as a decrease in positive functioning than negative perception such as loss of control. We also discussed that psychological flexibility can reduce the effect of stress on depression and prevent it. We suggested acceptance commitment therapy to improve psychological flexibility as an intervention method for stress and depression issues in university administration staff.

A Mediating Effect of Positive Psychological Capital on the Relationship between Academic Grit and Academic Burnout Perceived by High School Students (고등학생이 인식하는 학업적 그릿과 학업소진 관계에서 긍정심리자본의 매개효과)

  • This study explored the mediating effects of positive psychological capital on the relationship between academic grit and academic burnout perceived by high school students. This study was conducted through questionnaires of 573 second graders of high school in Daegu and analyzed by descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, structural equation modelling. The results of this study were as follows. First, academic grit had a negative effect on academic burnout. Second, positive psychological capital mediated the relationship between academic grit and academic burnout. This result implies that it is necessary to provide positive psychological capital to enhance or maintain academical grit in the context of academic burnout. In the subsequent study, it is needed to explore the mediating effects of positive psychological capital on sub-variables, the moderating effect of positive psychological capital profiles, the analysis of variance according to individual backgrounds such as gender and grade for academic grit and academic burnout, and the mediating or moderating effects of positive psychological capital on independent variables such as perfectionism, ego-resilience, and self-efficacy.

  • The environment of modern corporate management is undergoing many changes due to the horizontal organizational structure and the spread of team system. The importance of collective leadership that all members can pursue together beyond the existing personal leadership is increasing day by day. This study was conducted to analyze the effects of shared leadership on psychological empowerment, organizational justice and organizational commitment using PLS, a structural equation tool. The analysis highlighted the following. First, shared leadership exerted positive effects on psychological empowerment and organizational justice. Second, psychological empowerment exerted positive effects on organizational justice and organizational commitment and lastly, organizational justice exerted positive effects on organizational commitment. The causality between shared leadership, psychological empowerment, organizational justice and organizational commitment. This study demonstrated the important relationship between shared leadership and psychological empowerment and organizational justice, which will serve as a guideline for further organizational commitment.

Mediated effect of job engagement in relationship between positive psychological capital and turnover intention of the event worker (이벤트업 종사원의 긍정심리자본과 이직의도간의 관계에서 직무열의의 매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the job engagement mediates relationship between positive psychological capital and turnover intention in the event worker. For it, a questionnaire survey is performed for 394 participants consisted of male and female living in BUSAN. Their age is from 20 to 50. Afterwards, the collected data is analyzed using the regression analysis. Positive psychological capital is significantly positive to the job engagement. Meanwhile, positive psychological capital is significantly negative to the turnover intention. Likewise, job engagement is significantly negative to the level of turnover intention. Also, job engagement partially mediated relationship between positive psychological capital and turnover intention. Therefore, this study suggests that it will be developed the mediation program that improves both work environment and positive psychological capital to increase job engagement as well as reduce turnover intention in the event worker.
