The proliferation of the web and digital photography has drastically increased multimedia data and has resulted in the need of the high quality internet service based on the moving picture like user generated contents(UGC). The keyword-based search on large scale images and video collections is too expensive and requires much manual intervention. Therefore the web search engine may provide the content-based retrieval on the multimedia data for search accuracy and customer satisfaction. In this paper, we propose a novel distributed index structure based on multiple length signature files according to data distribution. In addition, we describe how our scalable index technique can be used to find the nearest neighbors in the cluster environments.

The IPTV Service provides various interactive services beyond the level of being able to substitute cable TV. The IPTV system is to be decentralized gradually in which one server conducts all tasks. Primarily, deliberation of media needs to be changed into a system in which relayer and peer from the central server is utilized. Secondarily, the way of controling IPTV network need to be decentralized. Unlike the current client-server system, P2P(Peer To Peer), the main technology of decentralized IPTV is able to provide a service by cooperation of each node. Dealing with live streaming IPTV system which is based on the P2P protocol, this paper design the pure P2P IPTV structure and does verify the performance of P2P IPTV structure by realizing real system.

최근, 웹(World Wide Web) 환경에서 효율적인 인터넷 서비스를 위해서 정적 서비스보다는 동적 서비스에 대한 다양한 요구사항들을 만족시키고자 많은 연구자들의 노력이 시도되고 있다. 웹 상에 있는 서버들로부터 정보를 얻기 위하여, CGI는 분산 응용들 간의 상호연동의 한 방법으로 제안되었다. 이 방ㅂ버에서 서버는 서비스 객체들간의 정적 바인딩 인한 과중한 처리 부담 및 네트워크 트래픽 부하를 극복할 수 없는 문제점들을 가지고 있다. 이러한 이유에서 본 논문에서는 기존의 CGI를 사용하는 대신에 확장된 객체 지향형 미들웨어를 사용하므로 웹 상에서 분산자원을 효율적으로 지원할 수 있도록 한다. 목표 시스템을 웹 상에서 구현하였다. 여기에서 클라이언트 모듈들은 임의의 서버에게 정보를 요청하기 위한 CORBA 미들웨어 접속용으로 서버 모듈은 클라이언트의 요청을 CORBA/JAVA 미들웨어를 통해 받아 웹 서버내의 멀티미디어 정보를 검색하도록 각각 구현되었다.

Most of the researchers establish research directions to conduct the study of new fields by getting advice from experts or through the papers of experts. The existing academic data search services provide paper information by field but do not provide experts by field. Therefore, users should decide experts by field using the searched papers by themselves. In this paper, we design and implement an expert search system by discipline through big data processing based on papers that have been published in the academic societies. The proposed system utilizes distributed big data storage systems to store and manage large papers. We also discriminate experts and analyze data related to the experts by using distributed big data processing technologies. The processed results are provided through web pages when a user searches for experts. The user can get a lot of helps for the research of a particular field since the proposed system recommends the experts of the corresponding research field.

현재 사용되고 정보 서비스 기술의 형태는 다양화, 복잡화되고 있지만 대부분 웹 기반 서비스 기술을 사용하고 있다. 그러나 이러한 기술은 분산되어 있는 정보를 가공하는 과정이 복잡하고, 검색결과가 너무 많아 정보의 질이 저하된다. 또한, 한정적인 대역폭으로 인해 네트워크 상에 지연문제가 발생하여 효율적인 정보를 사용자에게 전달하지 못한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 멀티 에이전트 기반의 Web/Mobile 환경에서의 능동적 정보 서비스를 위한 시스템을 구현한다. 제안된 멀티 에이전트시스템에서는 기존의 웹 기반 정보 서비스가 가진 단점들을 해결하기 위해서 이동 에이전트의 작업 실행 모듈을 분리하는 CORBA 기반의 이동에이전트를 구현하여 분산된 다양한 정보를 효과적으로 수집하였고, 네이밍 에이전트의 호스트 이주를 위해 노드의 위치 투명성 및 최초 라우팅 스케줄을 지정하는 네이밍 에이전트를 구현하였다. 마지막으로 사용자에게 지속적인 정보 서비스를 제공함으로 네트워크 트래픽을 가중시키는 문제를 해결하였다.

According to a long-term master plan for the implementing of MOMAF's marine environmental informatization, we have developed marine environment portal web site which consists of 7 main-menu and 39 sub-menu including various types of contents (text, image and multimedia) based on RDBMS. This portal site was opened in Oct., 2002 (http://www.meps.info). Also, for the national institutions' distributed DB which is archived and managed respectively the marine chemical data and biological data, the integrated retrieval system was developed. This system is meaningful for the making collaborative use of real data and could be applied for data mining, marine research, marine environmental GIS and making-decisions.

The description of resources at collection-level is being recognised as an important component of information services that seek to provide integrated access to distributed resources. This research investigated the concept, necessities, and standards of collection level description which manages heterogeneous and distributed resources effectively. Also this research reviewed collection level description projects in other countries to show a new direction of subject access in digital libraries.

본 논문에서는 사용자의 다양한 단말환경에 맞게 보다 효율적으로 컨텐츠 변환 서비스를 제공하는 최적의 컨텐츠 변환 노드(Contents Translation Node: CTN) 검색 메커니즘을 개발하였다 이 메커니즘은 컨텐츠 변환 노드로 구성된 서비스 오버레이 네트워크에서 노드부하가 적고, 근거리에 위치한 최적의 노드를 선택하여 신속하고 효율적인 서비스 제공을 가능케 하고 노드간의 부하 배분 기능을 지원한다 그리고 털러 노드 성능 요인들 간에 가중치를 적용하여 현재 상황에 맞게 시의적절한 최적의 노드를 선택할 수 있게 한다. 또한 본 논문에서는 이 메커니즘을 이용하여 인터넷 컨텐츠 최적화 서비스를 제공하는 인터넷 컨텐츠 분산 관리 시스템 (Internet Contents Distribution Management System: ICOMS)을 설계하였다.

공동저작 관리 시스템은 효율적인 공동저작을 위해 공유객체관리기능, 세션관리기능, 텔리포인팅(telepointing) 기능, 그리고 공동저작 인지(collaboration awareness) 기능들을 제공해야 한다. 이 중 공유객체관리기능은 저작자로 하여금 등록된 공유객체들을 편리하게 액세스 할 수 있도록 하고 저작에 필요한 공유객체들을 등록, 변경, 그리고 삭제할 수 있도록 함으로써 작업효율을 증대시킬 수 있는 핵심기능이다. 최근의 연구는 주로 등록된 공유객체의 변경 및 불필요한 정보전송으로 인한 작업지연, 그리고 공유객체 액세스 권한의 효율적인 관리를 위한 플로어 제어(floor control)에 그 초점을 맞추고 있으나 공유객체관리를 위한 기법이나 구조에 관한 연구는 미흡하다. 편리한 공동저작을 위해서는 분산환경의 특징상 가 저작자들의 시스템에 자연스럽게 분산되어 있는 공유객체들을 저작자나 공유객체들의 실제 위치에 상관없이 액세스할 수 있도록 하고, 저작자로 하여금 공유객체의 등록 시에 유일명 부여(unique naming)를 가능하게 하여 필요한 공유객체를 쉽게 검색할 수 있도록 해야 한다. 이를 위해 본 논문은 공유객체 디렉토리 서비스(shared-object directory service)를 제안한다. 공유객체 디렉토리 서비스는 일반 디렉토리(normal directory)와 세션 디렉토리(session directory)를 저작자에게 제공하여 공유객체의 등록시에 유일명 부여를 가능하게 하고 필요한 공유객체 검색을 용이하게 한다.

The acquisition of foreign government documents by exchange or gift is problematic in the electronic government era because the pattern of distributing system is changed. The alternatives for the collection development are developing the meta-site and establishing the subject gateways for the foreign government information as the resource discovery tools. The anchor and link functions of the AltaVista are used to evaluate a meta-site. The Scout Project Isaac is suggested as the model of interoperating resource discovery services for the geographically distributed metadata databases.
