Performance Evaluation for Repair of Composite Maintenance Robot Using Carbon Fiber Spray Method (탄소섬유 분사형 복합재 유지보수 로봇의 보수성능평가)

  • In this paper, a composite maintenance robot using carbon fiber spray method was developed that automatically sprays mixture was created for repair to damaged areas to repair them. To develop a robot, a repair process was developed in which a mixture of milled carbon fiber, epoxy resin, and hardener is sprayed and consolidated on the damaged area. To automate the repair process, an EOAT based on a collaborative robot was developed that can automatically suction and spray the mixture onto the damaged area. To evaluate the repair performance of the robot, 0° and 90° unidirectional specimens were manufactured and tested in accordance with ASTM D3039. Tests were performed on undamaged specimen, damaged specimen, and repaired specimen by a robot after damaged. As a result of the specimen test, the tensile strength of the 0° and 90° specimens was recovered by 10% and 90% after repair. Based on the test results, the repair performance of the developed composite maintenance robot was verified.

극저온 $CO_2$를 이용한 세정장치 개발

  • 본 발명은 승화성 고체 미립자 제트를 이용한 분사로 표면의 오염물을 제거하는 공정이다. 이는 극저온에서 고화된 입자가 표면에 고속 충돌 후 오염물을 제거하고 자신은 승화되어 잔사를 남기지 않는 청정 세척 공정을 말하는데 반도체 장비, 정밀 제품, 인쇄회로 기판 등의 다양한 표면의 각종 오염막 제거에 널리 사용될 수 있다. 본 장치의 특징은 세정 매체인 $CO_2$와 Carrier gas인 $N_2$를 사용하였고 현재 특허에 출원되어 있는 단순한 액체$CO_2$를 이용한 세정범위를 넘어 다양한 세정매체 즉, 복합인자($CO_2$ + ice, Ar + ice)를 이용하여 세정효율의 다변화를 이루었고 자체 개발한 냉동기를 이용하여 고화율이 액체 $CO_2$보다 상대적으로 낮은 기체 $CO_2$의 고화율을 증대 시킴으로써, 세정매체의 소모시간이 현격히 감소되어 원가절감 효과를 증대 시켰다. 세정대상물을 효과적으로 제거하기 위해 주 세정 매체인 $CO_2$의 수농도를 조절할 수 있는 Multi-Nozzle의 개발과 이로 인하여 세정력의 강도를 조절하도록 하였다. 세정 후 발생되는 오염입자를 효과적으로 제거하도록 국부 Exhaust를 Nozzle전단에 달아 재 오염의 방지효과를 극대화 시켰다.

A Study on the Injection Characteristics of Swirl Nozzle Injector in Common-rail System for High Pressure Fuel Injection (커먼 레일 시스템 고압 연료 분사용 스월 노즐 인젝터의 분사 특성에 관한 연구)

  • In this work, the evaluation of swirl nozzle injector performance was conducted by investigating effective area ($A_{eff}$), injection mass ($m_{inj}$), injection rate ($Q_{inj}$), and injection delay ($t_{delay}$) under various test conditions. To achieve these, fuel injection analysis system which was composed of fuel supply system, injection system, and control system was installed. At the same time, the swirl nozzle that had 12 orifice hole with $120^{\circ}$ injection angle was used in this work. It was revealed that the difference of injection mass ($m_{inj}$) between base and swirl nozzle injector increased as the injection pressure ($P_{inj}$) and energizing duration ($t_{eng}$) decreased under the same test conditions. The maximum injection rate ($Q_{inj}$) of swirl nozzle injector was higher than base nozzle injector about 2~5%. The injection performance of swirl nozzle was better than base nozzle at low injection pressure ($P_{inj}$) and short energizing duration ($t_{eng}$) conditions.

  • To meet strict emission regulation while improving engine performances, common rail injection system which is suitable for electronic control, and capable of controlling injection quantity, timing, rate and pressure individually as well as realizing high pressure has been developed. At present study, a 8L DI diesel engine was converted to a single-cylinder experimental engine allowing optical access through an extended piston and a prototype of common rail injector in progress was applied to the engine. The combustion characteristics of the engine were analysed by using direct images and characteristics of the injector were analysed. We can not say that the results are always the same to general common rail injection system but that they are just characteristics of specific prototype injector.

Ablation Rate and Intrapulpal Temperature by Addition of Water Spray During Er:YAG Laser Irradiation (Er:YAG laser를 이용한 치아삭제시 물분사량이 삭제율과 치수내 온도변화에 미치는 영향)

  • Er:YAG laser has been considered a promising alternative to dental drill and many researches indicate that adjustment to variable parameters, including water flow rate, pulse energy and pulse repetition rate, can be made to improve ablation ability and efficiency of the laser. Of these parameters, addition of water spray during irradiation has been thought to ablate dental hard tissue more rapidly and safely. The purpose of this study was to investigate tooth ablation amount by Er:YAG laser irradiation as related to varied water flow rates added and, ultimately to find the most effective water flow rate for ablation. In addition, the temperature change of pulp chamber during irradiation was also monitored on the irradiated and opposite pulpal walls, respectively. An Er:YAG laser with contact mode was employed. Extracted human molars were split into two pieces for ablation experiment. Pulse energies of 200 and 300 mJ with a pulse repetition rate of 20 Hz and 5 water flow rates (1.6, 3.0, 5.0, 7.0, and 10.0 ml/min) were applied. Each irradiation was performed for 3 seconds. According to these parameters, experimental groups were divided into 10 subgroups which consisted of 5 specimens. For temperature experiment, another 5 tooth-specimens were prepared in the manner that pulp chamber was open through access cavity preparation and two temperature-measuring probes were placed respectively on the irradiated and the opposite walls of pulp chamber. From the experiment on ablation amount related to different water flow rates, it was shown that the least water flow rate of 1.6 ml/min ablated more than any other water flow rates (p<0.000). When the irradiation for 3 seconds, combined with the pulse repetition time of 20Hz and the water flow rate of 1.6 ml/min was done to tooth specimen, the temperature rise was not noticeable both on the irradiated and the opposite pulpal walls (less than 3$^{\circ}C$) and there was no significant difference in temperature rise between the two pulse energies, 200 and 300 mJ. From the results of this study, it is suggested that tooth ablation with Er:YAG laser can be done effectively and safely at a energy between 200 and 300 mJ/pulse and a pulse repetition rate of 20 Hz when the lasing is conjugated with the water flow rate of 1.6ml/min.

  • To reduce the soot and NOx simultaneously, a new system of stratified injection is developed. This system discharges stratified diesel-methanol in a D. I. Diesel Engine. Nozzle and delivery valve of conventional injection system were remodeled to inject diesel and methanol from one injector sequently. The quantity of diesel and methanol was controled precisely by micrometers mounted on the injection control lack. The real injection ratio of dual fuel was measured by volumetric ratio. We could confirm the capabilities that soot and NOx simultaneously were reduced by diesel-methanol stratified injection from the results of in-cylinder pressure data obtained from combustion experiment by stratified injection, heat release rate and mass fraction bumed.

  • This experimental study has been conducted to investigate the installation of the vertical flame holder shape in ramjet combustor, which affects on the film cooling effectiveness. All slot position, the film cooling effectiveness decreases because of the shear layer and high turbulence intensity between separated flows and coolant flows. When the flame holder is installed, film cooling effectiveness decreases abruptly on the beginning of the slot exit region due to the mixing effect. As the blowing rate increases, the film cooling effectiveness is increased for all cases due to the augmented momentum of injected coolant from the slot.

  • Some drugs can offer far better medical effectiveness as it is injected through the intradermal layer of the skin, known as a needle-free injection. However, conventional needle-free devices might deliver a relatively large amount of drug in a just single spot of skin, splitting open the tissue layer structure, which might cause bruising and bleeding. By injecting the small volume with a fast repetition rate in a large surface area of skin, the patient may get much fewer injuries and pain. To achieve that specification, the driving force must be instantaneous and short-pulsed. Such a form of an injection device has been developed but the efficacy of those devices has been rarely examined. Therefore, this study developed the laser-induced microjet device that ejects microjet whose speed is ~310 m/s, during the 400~800 ㎲ of pulse time. The device can eject ~1 µL of the drug at the rate at which each shot repeated 10 shots per second. Using this specification, we evaluated the efficacy of drug injection onto mouse models. After injecting the insulin solution into the mouse model, the blood insulin level is detected, resulting in 20 % of blood insulin level with the ordinary needle syringe injection method.

  • In this study, we performed basic researches to develop wet purification system for improving air qualities of ventilation in semiconductor manufacturing process. Using 0.5 M aqueous solution of $KMnO_4$, 50 ppm of $NH_3$, SOx and NOx were reduced to 99% successfully. However, the removal of $O_3$ was limited to $22{\sim}30%$ for all the tested chemical solutionsincluding $KMnO_4$. Therefore, adoption of a dry ozone filter is necessary to reduce $O_3$ below a satisfactory level. For all the chemical solutions tested, NOx removal efficiency increased as NOx was mixed with $O_3$. As chemical solution was sprayed using water spraying system equipped with air atomizing type nozzle, the removal efficiencies of gaseous pollutants increased due to the increase of gas-liquid interfacial area.

  • 점차 엄격해지는 요구조건을 만족시켜 주기 위해서는 승용차용 엔진의 실제특성과 운전특성을 지 배하는 설계변수의 조절은 불가피하며, 그중에서도 엔진의 핵심부인 연소질의 설계는 가장 중요 하다. 부분 부하에서의 SI기관의 연료경제성을 향상시키는 가장 좋은 방법이 압축비를 상승시 키는 것이므로, 앞으로의 여소실은 고압축비에서도 옥탄가가 높은 연료를 요구하는 성향을 낮 추는 특성을 갖고 있어야 한다. 새로운 엔진의 향상을 최적화하기 위하여는 quench area의 크 기와 위치 그리고 적절한 quench distance의 성질이 중요하며, 또한 연소실의 소형화, 스파크 플러크의 위치, 표면적/체적의 비 그리고 화염전파거리등도 고려에 넣어야 한다. 승용차용 엔진의 요구조건은 연소실을 피스톤 크라운에 위치시키는 용이한 방법을 통하여 해결될 수 있으며, 이 러한 형상의 연소실은 실린더 헤드에 장치한 연소실과 비교하여 다음과 같은 장점을 갖고 있다. - 스파크 플러그 주변에 연소실을 배치하기 쉽다. - 연소실 내에 quench area의 설정이 자유롭다. - 연소실 layout의 개조없이 압축비의 설정이 자유롭다. - 연소실의 조합이 간단하다. - 실린더벽으로의 열손실이 감소되어 열효율이 증대된다. - 공연비의 희박가능한계가 크다. - EGR성능이 향상되어 NOx 의 배출과 연료소비율이 감소된다. - 필요하다면 연소실실 또는 직접분사식 Diesel 기관으로서의 개조가 간단하다. 만약 생산단가가 크게 상승하지 않는다면, NOx의 배출과 연료소비율이 작으면서도, 비출력이 큰 4-밸브 연소실이 실용화 될 전망이다.
