An effect of design parameters f water injection slincer on the characteries of noise generated by Liquid Rocket Engine (물분사형 소음기의 설계변수가 액체로켓엔진 소음특성에 미치는 영향)

  • 우주항공 산업에 대한 관심 증가에 따라 지상에서 많은 연소시험을 시행하고 있으나, 소음 발생문제에 부딪혀 어려움을 겪고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 초보적 단계이기는 하나, 액체로켓 엔진의 추력 손실을 최소화시키고 최대한 제트 소음을 크게 줄일 수 있는 소음기를 연구, 개발하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 제트소음에 대한 기초연구를 수행하여 물분사형 소음기를 설계 및 제작하였고, 물분사량과 소음기의 기하학적형상이 소음 특성에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다. 본 실험범위에서 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 동일한 물 분사량 조건에서, 소음기 길이가 노즐출구 직경의 10배 모델 보다 30배 모델이 9dbl 정도 감음효과를 보였다. 2. 불 분사량이 증가함에 따라 소음레벨은 감소하였고, 30배 모델의 경우 불분사량이 배기가스의 10-12배 조건에서는 소음레벨을 91dbl까지 줄일 수 있었다. 3. 상기조건(소음레벨 91dbl)에 확장관을 부착함으로써, 소음레벨을 약 86dbl까지 줄일 수 있었다. 4. 본 형태의 물분사방식을 채택할 경우 고온배기가스로 인한 소음기의 파손을 방지하기 위해서 반드시 막냉각장치의 설치가 요구된다.

Combustion Characteristics Based on Injector Shape of Supersonic Combustor (초음속 연소기의 인젝터 형상에 따른 연소특성)

  • A direct connected test was conducted for a supersonic combustor with a cavity-type flame holder. Liquid hydro-carbon fuel was injected in different types of injectors: inclined and aeroramp injectors, for the flow condition of Mach 4 at an altitude of 20 km. The static pressure on the combustor wall along the axis and the total pressure at the exit of combustor were measured to analyze the combustion characteristics at various fuel flow rates.

  • The Present Study describes the numerical investigations concerning a fuel(Hydrogen), inert gas (Nitrogen) or supersonic air stream issued between each other. The basic flow configuration consists of a plane, double shear/mixing layer flow. For the numerical solution, a fully conservative unsteady $2^{nd}$ order time accurate sub-iteration method and a $2^{nd}$ order Total Variation Diminishing(TVD) scheme are used with the finite volume method(FVM). The results are consist of three categories ; single shear layer consist of fuel and supersonic air stream, inert gas stream issued between supersonic air and fuel stream, fuel gas stream issued between supersonic air and fuel stream. The numerical calculations has been carried out in case of 1,2, and 4mm thickness of center stream. The width of total gas stream is 4cm.

Evolutionary Feature of Spray Droplets Exiting from a Direct-Injection Type Thruster Nozzle-Orifice (직접분사방식 추력기 노즐오리피스로부터 발생하는 분무입자의 발달특성)

  • Spray characteristic parameters such as droplet mean velocity, diameter, and volume flux are measured at various locations of spray in order to investigate the evolutionary feature of droplets exiting from a direct-injection type thruster nozzle-orifice. The experimental results indicate that the large droplets with high velocity at the center of upstream are broken-up into smaller droplets with low velocity due to their continuous momentum loss to surrounding air along with spray evolution toward downstream. Also it is found that the high volume flux expands its distribution in radial direction as a results of spray spreading and dispersion.

  • The advantages of the common rail fuel injection system architecture have been recognized since the development of the diesel engine. In common rail systems, a high-pressure pump stores a reservoir of fuel at high pressure up to and above 2000 bar. And solenoid or piezoelectric valves make possible fine electronic control over the fuel injection time and quantity, and the higher pressure that the common rail technology makes available provides better fuel atomization. In this study, the direct needle-driven piezo injector was investigated for accomplishing injection pressure of 1800 bar by optimal design by simplification of component and changing number of springs and plates of DPI. It was found that a direct needle-driven piezo injection system features the prototype DPI for passenger vehicle to operate at 1800 bar of injection pressure.

  • A liquid nitrogen engine is a highly clean power engine, which does not emit any hazardous substances in its fumes. Additionally, it has an advantage over electric vehicles, as its energy density is larger than that of a battery. The use of an existing liquid nitrogen engine is typically limited to the reciprocation type. In this study, the concept of a nitrogen engine equipped with a scroll expander is introduced. The engine's efficiency was shown to increase when the scroll expander was utilized in the engine, while also adding to the simplification of the structure. Therefore, compared to the existing reciprocation-type engine, the engine with the scroll expander has the potential to be both technically and economically more competitive. In this study, the performance of a liquid nitrogen engine equipped with a scroll expander was analyzed while altering the injection pressure profile of liquid nitrogen.

  • One dimensional simulation model of an EFI small engine has been developed based on the commercial small engine. Newly developed simulation model has been evaluated comparing with the experimental results to check the validity. Simulation result shows very good agreement having margin of error of 3 percentage compared with experimental torque and power values. Also, to improve the small engine performance, the influence of the intake valve timing and duration on the engine performance has been analyzed using the simulation model.

  • 본 연구에서는 운전자의 피로감을 경감시킬 수 있는 자동차용 향 발생장치를 개발하였다. 본 시스템은 공기 압력차에 의해 휘발된 향을 산소와 혼합 시켜 외부로 분사하는 증발 확산 방식을 채택하였다. 또한 3-Port Solenoid Valve를 이용하여 산소만 공급할 수 있도록 또는 산소와 향을 동시에 공급할 수 있도록 두 가지의 분출 경로가 가능하도록 제작하였고 향이 분사되는 배관 앞에 체크 밸브(역류방지기)를 장착하여 한 방향으로만 향이 분출되도록 하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 각종 강구조물의 도장전 샌드블리스트 작업에 다른 공해를 방지하기 위해, 모래-물의 2상류를 분사할 수 있는 샌드블라스트 장치를 제작하여, 2상류 분사에 따른 마멸-부식(wear-corrosion)특성과 slurry erosion에 의한 anchor pattern 및 침식-마멸거동을 고찰하고, 물에 의한 강구조물의 부식방지를 위한 부식억제제가 강구조물의 도막에 미치는 방식특성을 구명함으로써 공해방지, 부식손상 및 산업의 국제경쟁력 향상에 기여하고자 한다.
