A Sugeestion of Rheological Performance Range for Manufacturing Mid-workability Concrete (중유동 콘크리트 제조를 위한 레올로지 성능 범위 제안)

  • The aim of the research is providing the rheological performance range for manufacturing "mid-workability concrete". The mid-workability concrete means the normal strength range concrete mixture with high workability. Since there is not enough study or quantitative definitions on performance of the mid-workability concrete, in this research, the performance range for high workability of mid-workability concrete mixture using rheology. Because of the mixture characteristics of generally used normal strength concrete such as relatively high water-to-cement ratio and no SCMs, segregation of coarse aggregate should be prevent to achieve a successful high workability. From the experimental study in this research scope, 5 to 35 Pa.s of plastic viscosity was desirable to prevent segregation for nid-workability concrete, and general performance range with rheological parameters was provided.

  • 본 연구에서는 연속발진 출력을 얻기 위해서 일차적으로 수소와 불소를 연소시켜 발생된 열에너지를 이용하여 불소분자($F_2$)를 원자상태의 불소(F)로 분리하고, 이 불소원자(F)를 초음속 노즐을 통해서 흐르게 한 후 중수소(D$_2$)와 화학 반응시켜 활성매질인 들뜬상태의 중수소분자(D$F_{*}$ )를 얻는다. 발진된 레이저 최대 출력 값은 약 11.5㎾이며, 발진라인은 10개로 최대 세기를 갖는 라인은 Pl(10)-3.752$\mu\textrm{m}$이다. 또한 최적의 유량조건에서 얻은 화학 효율은 약 16 %, specific power는 약 188J/g이다.   • Reexpansion pulmonary edema is a rare complication of the treatment of lung collapse secondary to pneumothorax, pleural effusion, or atelectasis. But occasionally, severe morbidity and death may result. Reexpansion pulmonary edema occurs when chronically collapsed lung is rapidly reexpanded by evacuation of large amounts of air or fluid. In the treatment of the chronically collapsed lung, physicians must remember the possible events and prevent the complications. When the difference in airway resistance or lung compliance between the two lungs is exaggerated, conventional mechanical ventilation might lead to preferential ventilation with hyperexpansion of one lung and gradual collapse of the other. Differential ventilation has been advocated to avert this problem. By differential lung ventilation, we successfully treated a severe reexpansion pulmonary edema in two patients. Therefore we suggest that differential lung ventilation is the treatment of choice for severe reexpansion pulmonary edema.

  • 68% of the manufacturing costs of solar cell wafer can be attributed to the slurry. The recycling of slurries is mandatory for reducing the costs of manufacturing wafering production, and the disposal of industrial waste, as well as for cutting down pollution levels. Slurries are currently being recycled using the centrifuge(decanter) method. However, this method is less than optimal as it does not completely remove the fine particles, leading to low quality. Also, be cause of the incomplete separation from the oil, it causes the impurities in the dried slurries. This study aims to develope a new recycling technology that overcomes the flaws of the centrifuge by utilizing chemicals. It will provide a total solution to the crucial process of recycling slurries in the making of solar cell wafer, by increasing the efficiency and renewable rate.

Prevalence of yeasts in bovine mammary gland infections and teat cups of milking machines (효모균에 의한 젖소 유방염과 유두컵내의 오염상태)

  • The prevalence of yeasts in mammary glands of dairy cows and teat cups of milking machines was studied in Chinju area. The rate of subclinical yeast infection in 330 quarters was 3.6%. Of 12 isolates from the milk, 4 Candida pseudotropicalis, 3 C tropicalis, 2 C krusei, 2 C albicans and 1 Rhodotorula spp were identified. The 91.7% of the isolates belonged to the genus Candida and C pseudotropicalis was the predominant species. From 20.5% of 200 teat cups tested, 51 strains of yeasts were isolated. These were 13 C pseudotropicalis, 9 C guilliermondii, 7 C tropicalis, 5 C krusei, 5 C parapsilosis, 3 C albicans, 2 Torulopsis glabrata, 2 Geotrichum candidum and 5 unidentified yeasts. C pseudotropicalis was most frequently encountcred.

Membrane Fouling Models for Activated Sludge Cakes (활성슬러지 케이크의 분리막 오염 모델)

  • This experiment was carried out for a laboratory scale activated sludge bioreactor equipped with submerged flat sheet membrane using the synthetic wastewater. The membrane system for the activated sludge solution of MLSS 5,000 mg/L was operated with constant permeate flux by continuously permeating and periodically 10 minute-permeating/2 minute-resting modes, respectively. The transmembrane pressure was measured as the permeate flux increased from 10 to $25L/m^2{\cdot}hr$ under the constant air flowrate 0.25 L/min. Also, the complete blocking, standard blocking, intermediate blocking, incompressible cake and linear compressible cake fouling models were retrofitted for the experimental data in order to determine the state of the membrane fouling. Because the transmembrane pressure fluctuated as a pulse shape for every period of 10 minute-permeating/2-minute resting mode, the membrane fouling models were separately applied for the maximum and minimum connecting lines. The linear compressible cake fouling model for the activated sludge cakes was the best fitted with the experimental results from the above five models.

Separation of Ag and Zn from Nitrate Leachate of Spent Silver Oxide Batteries by Solvent Extraction with Cyanex272 (Cyanex 272를 이용한 폐산화은배터리 침출액으로부터 Ag 및 Zn의 분리)

  • The separation of Ag and Zn from the nitrate leachate of spent silver oxide batteries using Cyanex272 as an extractant was investigated. The extraction of Ag and Zn was affected by the concentrations of nitric acid and the extractant. Cyanex-272 selectively extracted Zn over Ag when the HNO3 concentration was lower than 0.1 mol/L. The co-extracted Ag was removed by stripping with 1 mol/L thiourea. Stripping of Zn from the loaded Cyanex-272 was accomplished using 0.5 mol/L HNO3 after the removal of Ag. The McCabe-Thiele diagrams for the extraction of Zn with Cyanex-272, the scrubbing tripping of Ag with thiourea, and the stripping of Zn with HNO3 were constructed. The results were verified by simulated counter-current extraction and stripping experiments. Finally, a process for the separation of Ag and Zn from silver oxide batteries was proposed.

  • The Purpose of this article is to identify the specific characteristics of borderline disorder in adolescence to conceptualize the borderline state as an adolescent process different from borderline personality disorder in adult, and to classify them according to it's unique clinical feature, porcess and outcome. The development of borderline disorder in adolescent, epidemiology, comorbid disorders and differential diagnosis, pre-existing sub-classification systems, and etiology in theories of psychodynamics, biological theories, experimental studies, and follow-up studies are reviewed. The authors conceptualize the adolescent borderline state include all clinical states generated by re-emergence of unresolved rapproachement conflicts in adolescent, and propose that there are four subgroups in adolescent borderline state. (1) Borderline state as an adolescent process. (2) Borderline state associated with psychotic disorders (3) Borderline state as an initial stnge of typical borderline personality disorder (4) Borderline state associated with organic problems. Conceptually, borderline state in adolescence is not a simple continuation of primary failure of separation-individuation but a struggle for mastering unresolved separation-individuation conflicts in adolesance i.e., the second separation-individuation state, and if it fails this time, the struggle might continue into adult life as borderline personality disorder.

  • 저항 점 용접시 발생하는 어려운 문제점의 하나는 아무리 동일한 용접조건 하에서 용접을 한다하 더라도 균일한 용접품질을 얻을 수 없다는 점이다. 이는 주로 용접중의 전원에서의 변화로 인한 용접전류 및 전압변동, 용접모재의 표면상태 및 두께의 불균일, 두 전극의 마멸 및 맞춤상태 등의 인자 때문에 기인한다고 볼 수 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해서는 용접하는 도중에 수시 로 인자 때문에 기인한다고 볼 수 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해서는 용접하는 도중에 수 시로 용접 상태를 점검하여 용접조건을 그때 그때에 적합하게 변화시켜 주는 것이 바람직한데 우 선 용접상태를 판별하기 위해서는 용접품질(weld quality)을 잘 대변할 수 있는 용접법 변수를 찾 아내는 것이 중요한 일이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 용접품질에 관련되는 변수중, 전기동저항과 전 극분리현상을 측정해서 마이크로 컴퓨터를 사용하여 관련되는 특정값들을 구했고 이들과 인장실 험에서 얻은 용접강도와의 상관관계를 얻음으로써 과연 어떠한 공정변수가 용접품질을 잘 대변해 줄 수 있는가를 실험적으로 조사하였다.

  • 유역단위에서 수문모델링을 수행함에 있어 토양수분은 물수지 관점에서 매우 중요한 인자로 고려된다. 더욱이, 최근 발생빈도가 커지고 있는 가뭄을 효과적으로 평가하고 예측하는 데에도 활용성이 매우 큰 것으로 인식되고 있다. 이러한 중요성에도 불구하고, 가용자료의 부족, 자료의 부정확성 등으로 인해 실제 유역모델링을 수행하는데 있어 활용도는 매우 적다. 이러한 점에서 본 연구에서는 동질성이 확보된 유역단위를 기준으로 다지점의 토양수분 자료를 추계학적으로 모의할 수 있는 기법을 개발하고자 한다. 토양함수자료는 지속성(persistence)이 매우 큰 특징을 가진다. 즉, 상태의 지속성이 크며 메모리가 오랫동안 유지된다는 점에서 추계학적 모의가 가능할 것으로 판단된다. 이러한 지속성을 이용함과 동시에 토양함수를 다양한 상태로 분리하고 이들 상태들간의 천이확률을 효과적으로 모의할 수 있다면 관측 토양함수 자료의 통계적 특성 재현이 가능하다. 본 연구에서는 용담댐 유역에 대해서 개발된 모형을 적용하고 활용성을 검토하고자 한다.
