A Newly Recorded Species, Pseudalelimma miwai Inoue (Lepidoptera, Noctuidae, Herminiinae) from Korea (한국미기록 황민무늬수염밤나방(나비목, 밤나방과, 수염밤나방아과))

  • The genus Pseudalelimma Inoue and its single described species P. miwai Inoue are recorded for the first time from Korea. Adult and genitalic characters of female are illustrated and briefly redescribed with its distributional ranges and host plants.

  • Eight species of Depressariidae, , are reported for the first time from Korea. Depressria niphospyrphos Meyrick and D. basicosta Matsumura are newly synonymized with D. taciturna Meyrick. Agonopterix sapporensis (Matsumura) and A. ochroephala Saito are also synonymized with A. angeliocella(Hubner) respectively, and A. iharai Fujisawa with A. ocellana (Fabricius).

  • In this study, we report a genus Macrobathra for the first time from Korea, including one newly reported species, M. quercea Moriuti, 1973. Adult including the genitalia of both sexes are described and photographs of adults and genitalia, distributional ranges and host plants are also provided.

  • A Phycitine species, Dioryctiria juniperella Yamanaka, is reported for the first time from Korea. Larval characters is also shown with its illustration. Juniperus chinensis L., J. chinensis var. globosa H., and J. procumbens S. are known as host plants for the species in this country.

  • Four species of Crambidae, Patania brevipennis (Inoue, 1982); Herpetogramma tominagai Yamanaka, 2003; Aethaloessa calidalis (Guenée, 1854); Anania subfumalis (Munroe et Mutuura, 1971), are reported for the first time from Korea. The genus Aethaloessa is new to the Korean fauna. Photos of external and genital features are provided for those species. Subspecies assignment and occurrence status in Korea are discussed for Aethaloessa calidalis and Anania subfumalis.

  • A species of Blastobasidae, Pseudohypatopa longicoruntella sp. nov. is described as new to science and illustrated, and Neoblastobasis decolor (Meyrick) is newly recorded from Korea. The total of four species known for Korean fauna including the previously known species, Blastobasis sprotundalis Park and Neoblastobasis biceratala(Park), are briefly reviewed with new distributional data.

  • Fourteen species of the genus Eupithecia(Larentiinae) are included, with description of a new species; E. bicornuta sp. nov. and 9 newly reported species; E. clavifera Inoue, E. signigera But-ler, E. supercastigata Inoue, E. viidaleppi Vojnits, E. addictata Dietze, E. repentina Vojnits et Laever, E. antaggregata Inoue, E. consortaria Leech, and E. kamedai Inoue from Korea.

Systematics of Coleophoridae (Lepidoptera) in Korea (한국산 통나방과의 분류학적 정리)

  • A total of 16 species of the family Coleophoridae were recognized from Korea Of which 15 species are reported for the first time from Korea; C. melanograpta, C. quercicola, C. currucipennella, C. vibicigerella, C.therinella, C.versurella, C. yomogiella, C. juncivora, C. silenella, C. eurasiatica, C. koreana, C. cristata, C. granulatella, C. elodella and C. enkomiella. Most of species are illustrated by their male's and female's genitalia, with all available informations on host plants and their biology.
