화물트럭 형상 변화에 따른 공력특성에 관한 수치해석적 연구

  • 본 연구에서는 교육 및 연구를 위한 CFD 해석 프로그램인 EDISON_CFD 프로그램을 이용하여 화물 트럭의 후면부 형상변화에 따른 공력특성을 분석해보았다. 먼저 추가적인 부착물을 장착하지 않은 기본적인 형상의 화물트럭의 공력특성을 확인 후, 후면부에 여러 형상의 Boat tail(보트 테일)과 전면부에 Cap-roof fairing(캡루프 페어링)이 부착된 형상을 해석하여 트럭이 받는 항력 감소를 통해 최적형상을 찾아가는 연구를 수행하였다. Cap-roof fairing이 부착된 형상에서 $15^{\circ}$의 특성길이가 0.3인 Boat tail에서 가장 좋은 항력 감소 효과를 얻을 수 있었다. Cap-roof fairing의 경우 6%의 항력 계수 감소를 보였고, Boat tail에서 20%의 항력 계수 감소효과를 관찰할 수 있었다. Boat tail의 각도와 길이를 변수로 하여 여러 해석을 진행한 결과 최적화된 형상을 선정할 수 있었다.

Bond Properties of Nonpolar Macro Synthetic Fiber in Cement Mortar with Maleic Anhydride Grafted Polypropylene Powder (무수말레인산이 그라프트된 폴리프로필렌 분말 첨가에 따른 시멘트 모르타르와 무극성 마크로 합성섬유의 부착 특성)

  • This study evaluated the effects of maleic anhydride grafted polypropylene powder (mPP) contents on the bond properties of cement mortar and nonpolar macro synthetic fibers (macro synthetic fiber). Dog-bone bond tests were performed to evaluate the bond performance of macro synthetic fiber in cement mortar with varying amounts of mPP (0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30% of cement weight). The bond properties (pullout behavior, pullout load and interface toughness) of macro synthetic fiber in cement mortar increased as the mPP contents was increased. The bond properties increased with the mPP contents. The microstructure of macro synthetic fiber surface was examined after the pullout test to analyze the frictional resistant force according to mPP contents during the pullout process of macro synthetic fiber in cement mortar. The scratched of macro synthetic fiber increased with the mPP contents.

Characteristics of Bond Strength in Concrete Beams Reinforced with Galvanized Rebar (용융아연도금 철근콘크리트 보의 부착강도 특성)

  • Galvanizing is one of the method used to solve the problem of corrosion of reinforcement in concrete structures. There few research reported in the literature regarding the effect of galvanized coating on the behavior of lap splices in concrete beams. The objective of this study was to determine whether galvanized rebar adversely affects lap splice behavior and bond strength. Concrete beams reinforced with black or galvanized rebar were tested in flexure. The test variables included the presence of galvanized rebar steel diameter, and lengths of lap splices. The study concentrated on comparing crack, failure pattern, and bond strength. The ultimate behavior of beams reinforced with galvanized rebar was not significantly different from that of black steel reinforced beams. Therefore, the test results indicated that the use of galvanizing-coated rebar had no adverse effect on behavior in lap splices of rebar compared to the use of black rebar.

Effect of Low Molecular Chitosan on the Surface Properties and Oral Bacteria Adhesion of Dental Cement (저분자 키토산이 치과용시멘트의 표면특성과 구강세균 부착에 미치는 영향)

  • In this study, low molecular weight chitosan (LC) was added to dental cement liquid at 0, 0.5, 1.0, and 2.0 wt% by weight for surface properties and oral bacteria adhesive of dental cement. The evaluated by net setting time and surface properties of surface energy on the surface roughness. The degree of oral bacterial adhesion was assessed using two strains of oral bacteria, S. mutans and E.coli. The results showed that the setting time at the LC0.5 group increased no statistically difference was observed (p<0.05). The surface roughness statically significant LC2.0 group and oral bacteria adhesion experiment results in contrast to the control group LC0, LC-added experimental group showed a somewhat lower adherent surface statistically significant difference was observed (p<0.05). It seems that this LC proved that surface properties and oral bacteria adhesion effect was demonstrated. Therefore, it was suggest that the additional effects of LC and research on a wide range of substances.

A Experimental and Analytical Study on One directional Bond Behavior of Grid typed CFRP Reinforcement (격자형 탄소 보강재의 일방향 부착특성에 대한 실험 및 해석적 연구)

  • In this study, authors attempted to determine the bond behavior characteristics to utilize Grid typed CFRP reinforcement as an alternative to steel rebar used as concrete reinforcement. Since it is difficult to understand the influence of the transverse grid length of the Grid typed CFRP reinforcement in the existing numerical analysis proposal for bond behavior, a nonlinear 3D model was created and finite element analysis was performed. To perform the analysis, the analysis was conducted by inputting a nonlinear material model and modeling the bond interface characteristics between the Grid typed CFRP reinforcement and concrete and comparing them with the actual direct pull-out test results. The bond behavior characteristics of the Grid typed CFRP reinforcement were found to be very dominated by the factors of the transverse grid, and showed a tendency to continuously increase load.

  • This study evaluates the bond behavior of reinforced concrete (RC) beams using recycled coarse aggregates. A total of four specimens were cast and tested. The test parameter was the type of coarse aggregates, that is, natural and recycled coarse aggregates, and the absorption ratio of recycled coarse aggregate. The recycled coarse aggregates with absorption ratios of 3% and 6% were used in this test. The specimens were simply supported and were subjected to a concentrated load. A test method proposed by Ichinose was adopted to estimate effectively the bond properties of specimens. From the experimental results, it was found that there was no difference of bond characteristics according to the absorption ratio of recycled coarse aggregates.

Tetrakis(trimethylsilyloxy)silane와 cyclohexane 혼합 전구체를 사용한 플라즈마중합박막에서의 mouse embryonic fibroblast cell과 bovine aortic endothelial cell의 동향

  • 세포를 부착하는 기술은 세포를 배양하기 위한 가장 기초적이며 중요한 기술이다. 세포 부착기술은 대상물과 세포 간의 다양한 생물학적, 물리화학적 연관 관계가 있으나 세포와 부착 대상물 간의 복잡한 상호작용 때문에 완벽히 예측하기는 어렵다. 우리는 이 연구에서 siloxane 성분을 포함하고 있는 전구체인 tetrakis(trimethylsilyloxy)silane과 hydro-carbon을 포함하고 있는 전구체인 cyclohexane을 혼합하여 플라즈마 중합 박막을 만들고 그 박막에서의 mouse embryonic fibroblast cells과 bovine aortic endothelial cell 부착의 정도를 확인하였다. 플라즈마 중합 박막을 제작하기 위해 capacitively coupled plasma chemical vapor deposition system을 사용하였고 carrier gas로는 Ar을 사용하였다. Plasma RF power는 13.56MHz 70W를 사용하였다. Bubbler에서 기화된 전구체를 포함하고 있는 Ar carrier gas가 process chamber에서 혼합되고 두 전구체의 비율을 조절하기 위해 carrier gas를 0 에서 150sccm으로 변화시켜 플라즈마 중합 박막을 제작하였다. 플라즈마 중합 박막의 화학적 조성은 Fourier transform infrared absorption spectroscopy와 X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy를 이용하여 측정하였고, 생물학적 세포 부착 정도는 현미경을 통해 관찰하였다. 또한, 물과 박막의 접촉각(Water contact angle)을 측정함으로써 본 박막과 세포 부착에서의 친, 소수성의 연관성을 확인하였다. Tetrakis(trimethylsilyloxy)silane를 전구체를 사용한 박막에서 세포 부착 억제 표면특성이 관찰되었고, 주입되는 cyclohexane 비율이 늘어날수록 세포부착 가능한 표면 특성을 보였다. 결과적으로, 전구체인 tetrakis(trimethylsilyloxy)silane와 cyclohexane의 비율을 조절함으로써 세포의 부착정도를 제어할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

Effects of Cylinder Rotation on Particle Laden Flow and Particle Deposition on a Rotating Circular Cylinder (실린더의 회전이 원형 실린더 주위의 입자 부유 유동 및 입자 부착에 미치는 영향)

  • It is important to understand the dispersion and deposition characteristics of particles in the flow around a circular cylinder. The rotation of a cylinder is considered as a means to modify the particle deposition in this study. We numerically investigate the effects of the rotational speed of a cylinder and the particle Stokes number on particle dispersion and deposition as well as flow characteristics. Results show that the deposition efficiency of small particles (with the Stokes number smaller than 4) decreases significantly as the rotational speed increases. However, when the Stokes number is larger than 4, the deposition efficiency increases slightly with the rotational speed of the cylinder. Meanwhile, for a given rotational speed, the increase in the Stokes number leads to an increase in deposition efficiency and deposited area.

Tensile Bond Characteristics between Underwater Coating Materials and Concrete Substrate (수중코팅제와 콘크리트 모재 간의 인장 부착 특성)

  • In this study, we investigated the tensile bond characteristics of underwater coating materials, in order to obtain useful information in support of repair work for marine and coastal concrete structures. Test variables included type of underwater coating, surface conditions of the concrete substrate, and environmental conditions. Pull-off tensile bond strength was measured at 24 h after applying underwater coatings to concrete substrates, in compliance with the procedures specified in ASTM C1583. Failure modes (coating, interface, and parent concrete) for each coating were identified through visual inspection, and comparisons were made based on measured bond strength. The tensile bond strength decreased underwater compared to that under dry conditions, while no significant effect of surface roughness on the measured bond strength was observed in underwater tests. Key aspects that need to be considered regarding selection and use of underwater coating materials for marine and coastal concrete structures were discussed.

스파이럴 보강을 한 원형 실런더의 공력계수 분석

  • 본 연구에서는 스파이럴 보강을 한 원형 실린더 주위의 유동를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 스파이럴 보강 부분을 사각형 부착물로 분리해서 나타내었다. EDISON_CFD의 가상 경계법을 이용하여 원형 실린더와 부착물 주위의 유동 현상을 해석하였다. 부착물의 두께와 각도를 다르게 하여 각각의 공력 계수와 총 합력을 구하고 이에 따른 특성을 분석하였다.
