  • In the study, the water shortage of Boryeong Dam watershed ($163.6km^2$) was evaluated under future climate change scenario. The Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) was used considering future dam release derived from multiple linear regression (MLR) analysis. The SWAT was calibrated and verified by using daily observed dam inflow and storage for 12 years (2005 to 2016) with average Nash-Sutcliffe efficiency of 0.59 and 0.91 respectively. The monthly dam release by 12 years MLR showed coefficient of determination ($R^2$) of above 0.57. Among the 27 RCP 4.5 scenarios and 26 RCP 8.5 scenarios of GCM (General Circulation Model), the RCP 8.5 BCC-CSM1-1-M scenario was selected as future extreme drought scenario by analyzing SPI severity, duration, and the longest dry period. The scenario showed -23.6% change of yearly dam storage, and big changes of -34.0% and -24.1% for spring and winter dam storage during 2037~2047 period comparing with 2007~2016 period. Based on Runs theory of analyzing severity and magnitude, the future frequency of 5 to 10 years increased from 3 in 2007~2016 to 5 in 2037~2046 period. When considering the future shortened water shortage return period and the big decreases of winter and spring dam storage, a new dam operation rule from autumn is necessary for future possible water shortage condition.

  • Career indecision has long been a phenomenon of interest to parents, faculty, school counselors, and others who advise young adults on their career choices. The earliest work on career indecision focused almost exclusively on the negative consequences that young adults faced as a result of lack of self-insight into their own skills and abilities, lack of specific information about various occupations and labor markets, and fear of commitment to any career path in particular. More recently, researchers have noted that some of the short run negative consequences of early career indecision may ultimately lead to long-term positive consequences, particularly if better person-occupation fit is achieved as a result of young adults' extended search behavior. Extroversion, agreeableness, emotional stability, and openness showed to have negative effects on indecisiveness. In case of lack of job information, only extroversion and emotional stability showed to have negative effects on indecisiveness, and openness showed negative effect. Indecisiveness has negative effect on preparatory job search behavior. Lack of information has negative effect on preparatory job search behavior and active job search behavior.

  • This study aims to investigate inundation characteristics such as inundated area, inundation depth according to variation in return period of design rainfall and to draw a comparison between the inundation characteristics by adapting design storm using dual-drainage model. Lidar data is used to construct terrain data with $1m{\times}1m$ resolution in Cheongju. The designed storm by return periods(10year, 30year, 50year and 200year) are acquired from Intensity Duration Frequency curve, which are distributed in 5 minutes interval using Huff's method. As a results, the inundation volume is linearly increased, but inundated area is gradually increased in accordance with swell of return period for design storm. On the other hands, as a result of calculating discharge capacity for each points, deficit of discharge capacity is not observed using designed storm of 10 year return period at every points. If the return period is increased up more than 10 years, both the deficit of discharge capacity for each PT and entire study area are enlarged drastically.

  • This experiment was carried out to elucidate and investigate the changes in the content of antioxidants and the activities of antioxidant enzymes in the leaves of soybean subjected to water stresses. The results obtained were as follows; Leaves of soybeans subjected to water stresses have showed the differences in the activities of the antioxidant enzymes. In eunhakong, the activity of APOX was increased within a few days, but that of GR was decreased, whereas the activities of APOX and GR were gradually decreased in eunhakong. The activity of MDHAR of the leaves of eunhakong subjected to drought stress was gradually increased within 4days, whereas that of flooding was increased within 2days. We are supposed that the activities of APOX and MDHAR are coupled to maintain ascorbate concentration. In eunhakong, the relative activity of DHAR subjected to flooding was higher than that of drought. These results imply that DHAR is the only enzyme participating in the regeneration of ascorbate when the activity of MDHAR was limited by the deficiency of NADPH. The contents of ascorbate and reduced glutathione subjected to drought stress decreased continually, whereas those subjected to flooding stress recovered after five days of treatment.
