액체금속로의 노심은 핵연료봉과 와이어랩에 의한 부수로로 구성된 복잡한 기하학적 구조의 집합체로 이루어져 있다. 이러한 액체금속로의 정상상태 및 과도상태 노심열수력 상세해석을 위하여 부수로 해석코드 MATRA-LMR 코드를 개발하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 ORNL 19 Pin 실험결과와 EBR-II 실험 모의시 정상상태 노심열수력 해석코드인 SLTHEN 코드 계산에 사용되었던 실험데이타를 사용하여 현재 MATRA-LMR 코드로 계산을 수행한 후 그 결과를 비교.분석함으로써, MATRA-LMR 코드의 개발 상태를 평가해 보았다 ORNL 19 Pin 실험과 MATRA-LMR 계산를 비교한 결과 실험을 정확히 예측하는 것으로 나타났다. SLTHEN 코드 계산결과와의 비교에서는 집합체 평균 출구온도와 부수로 최대 출구온도를 비교한 결과 두 코드의 계산은 약 3% 이하의 차이를 보이고 있다. 현재의 MATRA-LMR 코드는 단일 집합체 계산만 가능하나 앞으로의 작업을 통해 전 노심 해석이 가능하도록 다중 집합체 계산 코드로 개발할 예정이다.

대한출판문화협회(회장 고영수)는 2013년 한 해 동안 출협을 통해 납본된 도서의 발행종수와 부수가 각각 4만3146종, 8651만 3472부라고 발표했다. 지난해에는 경기가 좋지 않은 때일수록 홍보에 주력하는 역발상 마케팅방식에 따라 이례적으로 발행종수가 전년 대비 8.5% 증가했지만, 다품종 소량생산을 선호해 신간 발행부수는 감소했다.

In the contingent valuation method (CVM) survey, we employed double-bounded discrete choice (DBDC) question to investigate the willingness to pay (WTP). The estimation results for the bivariate logit model show that respondents are willing to pay 329,256 won per year. The model with covariate variables suggests that the covariate effects help describe behavioral or preference tendencies. Double-bounded models increase efficiency over single dichotomous choice models, because the answers yes-no or no-yes yield clear bounds on WTP.

범용 전산유체해석(Computational Fluid Dynamics) 코드인 CFX-F3D를 이용하여 봉 다발에서의 난류 유동 수치해석을 수행하였다 3$\times$3 봉으로 구성된 부수로 사이의 난류 횡류(Crossflow) 혼합유동과 평행한 4개의 봉으로 이루어진 벽 수로에서의 난류 유동구조를 수치적으로 분석하여 각각의 실험결과와 비교하였다. 부수로 횡류 혼합유동의 경우 예측된 주 유동방향 평균 속도분포는 실험결과와 잘 일치하였으나 벽면과 인접한 부수로에서의 난류강도 분포는 다소 큰 차이가 나타났다. 백수로의 경우 수로 중심선 근처의 주 유동방향의 속도변화는 크게 예측되었고 벽 전단응력은 유로가 협소해지는 영역에서 낮게 예측되었으나 전반적으로 실험결과와 유사한 유동특성을 나타냈다. 이 연구는 봉 다발에서의 난류 유동구조에 대한 이해를 증진시킴과 더불어 CFX-F3D 코드를 평가함으로써 향후 지지격자와 임계열유속 증진장치가 부착된 복잡한 형상의 핵연료 다발에서의 유동장 수치해석의 기반을 마련하였다.

A detailed karyotype analysis was carried out in five Korean native Iridaceae species; Iris pseudoacorus, I. pallasii. var. chinensis, I. tectrum, I. dichotoma and Belamcanda chinensis. Chromosome compositions of the five species showed that they have different karyotypic formulae; I. pseudoacorus 2n=34=10m+16smn+8st including two pairs of satellite chromosomes, I. pallasii var. chinensis 2n=40=26m+12sm+2st including two pairs of satellite chromosomes, I. tectrum 2n=30=14m+16sm including five pairs of satellite chromosomes, I. dichotoma 2n=32=22m+10sm including two pairs of satellite chromosomes, and B. chinensis 2n=32=20m+10sm+2st including one pair of satellite chromosomes. These results will supplement the previous cytogenetic reports in Iridaceae species and enhance our understanding on the genetic structure, which will be useful in clarifying the unique characteristics of each species for practical breeding programs for horticultural and pharmaceutical purposes.

Several maintenance issues related to cavitation erosion and fatigue cracks in the water turbine subcomponents of pumped-storage plants, such as a runner and a draft tube, have been reported in the past. Generally, the pumped-storage plants provide ancillary services, such as black-start and system stabilization. The ancillary services are responsible for cyclic low opening operation of the guide vanes. It has been empirically established that this low opening operation further damages the water turbine subcomponents. In this study, the acceleration effect of the low opening operation on the cavitation erosion and fatigue of the water turbine is quantitatively assessed through finite element flow analysis, finite element stress analysis, and fatigue analysis. As a result of the assessment, it is identified that the cavitation potential increases and the turbine efficiency decreases with a decrease in the opening of the guide vane. Also, the low opening operation has an insignificant effect on the fatigue even though it increases the maximum stress values at the runner blade roots.

Compiled in 776 by Zhang Shen, Wu Jing Wen Zi was regarded as the epitome of model book for standardized regular script in Tang Dynasty. Following early works like Shuo Wen Jie Zi, Zhang Shen adopted radical-rule for the compilation of this work. 3,250 characters were selected from the Five Classics and 160 radicals were established. Yu Jiaxi (1884-1955) harshly criticized the radical system of Wu Jing Wen Zi for being inconsistant and confusing. With careful review and analysis of examples from Wu Jing Wen Zi, this paper discusses the pupose of the compilation of this work, its unique radical-rule system, principles of arrangement of characters with the same or similar radicals, and the differentiation of variant characters. It further discusses the value of Wu Jing Wen Zi by its innovative radical-rule and effective differentiation of variant characters. It concludes with a rebuttal of Yu Jiaxi's argument and restate the necessity of reevaluation of this work even to this day.
