A Study on the Post Management Impact of Consulting Service for Small and Medium Enterprise in Korea (한국중소기업을 위한 컨설팅서비스의 사후관리 효과에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the post management impact of consulting service for small and medium enterprise in Korea using hierarchical multiple regression analysis. The results show that first, consulting activities have an effect on the consulting performance. Second, this research found that post management is an important moderate variable between consulting activities and performance. This study have an important meaning that we confirm a part of the knowledge management service for the consulting service, which is considered temporary task, to practice sustainability business.

An Empirical Study on EA Governance and EA Competency of Public Agencies (EA 거버넌스와 EA 역량에 관한 실증적 연구 : 공공기관을 중심으로)

  • EA, efficient and hierarchical Information Resource Management(IRM) tool of Korean public agencie is one of the core of carrying forward the e-Government initiative. The objective of the paper is to study empirically whether using EA Governance for Controlling EA is related with their EA competency or not. the 190 person in charge of Information System service division are included for analysis. The various hypotheses established are validated by structural equation in SPSS and AMOS 18.0. The results shows that EA management and EA utilization of EA competency level was affected by EA Function, EA Organization and EA Human Resource of exogenous variable EA Governance but EA implementation level was not affected by EA Organization and EA Human Resource. also we investigated that the EA management level of endogenous variable EA competency was affected positively by EA implementation level and the EA utilization level of was affected positively by EA management level by stages.

  • Since mid-1990s, demands for programmer have been decreasing, and the experts of planning IT strategy and solving overall management issues with IT have been increasingly needed. IS experts would have many different types of job as time passes, and they need variety of job competencies to meet their career paths. The purpose of this study is to investigate the potential careers to suit MIS major and the needed skills in that field to develop MIS Curriculum. We asked to the personnel working in the IS organization and user departments to evaluate the current MIS curriculum of 4 year colleges in Korea and to let us know what jobs are the most important for them, what the core job competencies for them are. The results of study show that there are several courses the users and IS experts regard as core courses: Introduction to Management, Project Management, Introduction to MIS, DBMS, ERP, Systems Development Methodology, and IS Strategy Planning. IS experts regard the data and application integration, IT evaluation and strategic planning as the important jobs, and the most important job competency to conduct those jobs is the category of interpersonal skills, and business management knowledge, IT skills are succeeded.

Information Technology Investment and Effectiveness: Analyzing the Current State of the Art and Performing Empirical Research (정보화 투자비용 및 투자효과: 국내기업 현황 분석 및 실증 연구)

  • This study surveys the current state of the art in the field of IT investment and performance in domestic finns and investigates the statistical significance of various hypothesis of previous relevant researches. Data of 145 information systems of 133 firms have been collected. The amount of IT budget in 2005 has increased to the level of 2.53% of gross revenue of the firms and IT business value has also increased as compared to the previous year. As results of MANOVA test, it has been found that the amount of IT budget does not affect the level of IT business value. In other words, the relationship between IT investment and IT business value does not exist. And among ten factors which has been known to determine IT business value in previous researches, only three factors have been found to affect the level of IT business value: the technical quality of information systems, CIO leadership in the context of resource allocation and decision makings, and the capability and commitment of the user department. These finding provide insight for both practitioners and researchers.

  • 신제품 개발에 관련된 아이디어들을 모두 개발과제로 삼는것은 자원이용의 효율면에서 비능률적이다. 많은 아이디어들을 수집한 후 시장상황과 기업의 역량에 가장 일치하는 소수의 아이디어들을 개발과제로 선정해야 한다. 그러나 더 많은 지원자들이 응모한 기업이 더 적은 지원자들이 응모한 기업보다 더 유능한 종업원을 선발할 확률이 커지는 것과 마찬가지로 더 많은 아이디어들을 수집해야 더 탁월한 신제품 개발과제를 선정할 확률이 커진다. 즉, 아이디어들만 개발과제로 선정하는 절차가 필요하다. 때로는 신제품 개발에 관련된 아이디어들이 부족한 경우도 발생하여 체계적인 아이디어를 생성하는 방법론이 필요하다. 여기에서는 신제품 개발 주관 부서에서 체계적으로 아이디어를 확대하는 방법을 살펴본다.

A Study on the Actual Education Condition and Improvement of Education Program about Forest Fire (산불교육실태 및 개선방안에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, surveys of forest fire division of eight local government about a education program for forest fire prevention and attacking of Forest Human Resources Development Institutes were conducted. In the result, questionnaire answers about improvements of curriculum, requested subject, training camp for forest fire attacking and others were analyzed. So, we made an alternative proposal of education program about forest fire for actively meeting a change of forest condition and forest fire management policy, strengthening of ability that officers in forest fire division required, and enhancing a efficiency.

  • 조직에서 IT에 투자함으로써 납득할만한 가치를 얻고 있는가에 대한 물음에 많은 경영진과 의사결정권자들은 확신을 하지 못하고 있는 상황이다. 또한 조직의 IT 역량이 조직의 경쟁력 향상에 기여하고 있는가에 대한 부분도 크게 다르지 않다. IT프로젝트는 의뢰 IT부서가 담당하고 있으며, IT 투자 또한 전사 차원의 전략인 관점보다는 전술적 수준의 이니셔티브로 인해 적지 않은 자원을 낭비하고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 상황에서 IT 거버넌스에 대한 필요성과 개념에 대한 올바른 인식이 필요하게 되었으며, 그 접근 방법으로써 ITA를 비롯하여 많은 방법론들이 대두되고 있는 상황이다. 이에 우리는 정부부처 및 공공기관을 대상으로 ITA를 기반으로 정보자원을 관리하고 있는 조직들을 대상으로 IT 부분에 있어 어떠한 의사결정 형태를 갖고 있는지 연구하였으며, 본 연구에 관한 자세한 내용은 다음과 같이 논의 하였다.

Changes of Nursing Activities on Patients with DNR Orders (DNR 결정 환자에 대한 간호사의 간호활동 변화)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the changes to nursing activities of nurses on patients with DNR (Do-Not-Resuscitate) order and factors associated to the changes. Methods: Data were collected using a structured questionnaire for 173 nurses at general hospitals. Logistic regression analysis was performed on the data using SAS 9.4. Results: With 39 nursing activities, an average of 60.4 (34.9%) nurses reported an increase in the activities, 102.4 (59.2%) no change and 10.1 (5.9%) a drop. The activity increase was the greatest in the social area, and the physical area was where the activities decreased the most. The activity increase was associated knowledge competency (9 items), attitudes (2 items), practical competency (4 items) and work load (14 items were). Conclusion: To offer systematical care for DNR patients, it is necessary to expand nurses' knowledge through end-of-life education and adjust their workload and provide a support system at the department level.

  • Despite the importance of disaster management officers of disaster management agencies at the local government to protect the lives of civilians and their properties, there is a lack of research or literature in their roles and responsibilities. In fact, there is a urgent need to set clear roles and responsibilities for them. This study scrutinizes how to disaster managers should behave in specific setting that differentiates from other administrative managers based on domestic and foreign literature review. Although, the role of disaster manager seem to be similar to administrative manager, there are some differences particularly in the areas that disaster manager has to work as an expert in saving lives and properties that has to be further emphasized. When working on disaster management process of prevention and resoration, the key task are based on mid and low level officers. On the other hand, preparedness and response process that involve rapid decision making and cooperation with other department, persuasion of local residents and resource pooling are carried out by mid and high level managers because it requires control capacity and decision making skills.

  • The nature of supervision is to improve the quality of school education by assisting the teaching activities of teachers and development of a learning community. The school library should be considered a classroom, and should offer library-assisted instruction and information literacy through collaboration between the teacher librarian and subject teachers. Therefore, it should be under the systematic and settled supervision of school library experts. However, analysis shows school library-related divisions have carried out administrative supports in the 16 city and provincial education offices. It is necessary to seek a new supervision system in order to develop and support the education of teacher librarians and the educational value of school libraries. This study suggests The Reading and Library Section which integrates reading in school and public libraries as an independent division in municipal and provincial offices of education.
