The purpose of this study is to analyze domestic academic library development plans, check whether key components are reflected, and seek ways to improve the establishment of academic library development plans. To this end, a rubric evaluation technique derived from research related to evaluation of foreign universities and libraries was used. The libraries of the top 15 domestic universities were selected by referring to the QS World University Evaluation and THE World University Evaluation as the subjects of the study, and how much the core components of the development plan were reflected were evaluated. The results of the study are as follows. First, as a result of evaluating the university library development plan, most of the contents of 'purpose', 'goal', and 'action plan' were reflected, but vulnerabilities were found in 'mission' and 'vision'. Second, some private academic libraries were moving toward strategic planning at the level of advanced countries, including all of the core components. Third, although most academic libraries specified 'purpose', it showed limitations due to perfunctory description and connection. In the comprehensive evaluation, out of the highest score of 15, 12 were good and 3 were poor, indicating that the development plans of domestic academic libraries were generally at a 'good' level. As an improvement measure, it was suggested to form a task force for development plan establishment, to disclose and promote development plans, and to strengthen education on development plans for librarians.

This study aims to analyze the current status of specialized services in public libraries in the Busan, identify associated issues, and propose improvement strategies. To achieve this, a survey was conducted among the staff of 25 public libraries, excluding two libraries (one of which was temporarily closed) out of the 27 libraries operating under the 2022 Library Development Plan. The survey covered topics such as the current status of specialized services, perceptions of specialization, and strategies for the development of specialized services. The survey results revealed that in 16 libraries, specialized collections accounted for less than 5% of the total collections; 20 libraries had no dedicated librarian, and in 15 libraries, the budget for specialized materials was less than 5% of the total materials acquisition budget. Despite these challenges, the librarians recognized the necessity and legitimacy of specialized services and believed that these services should continue, even in the face of insufficient personnel and budget. Additionally, they emphasized the importance of the role of metropolitan representative libraries, along with related training and the assignment of dedicated librarian, for the development of specialized services.

The aim of this study is to) represent the relationship of organizational commitment and its antecedent variable and show the influence of them in the libraries. For this, We selected librarian\`s personal characteristics, job characteristics, organizational characteristics and work experiences as an independent variables and value commitment, commitment to stay as a dependent variables. Collected data was derived from questionnaire of the 128 librarians of 17 public libraries at susan. 1)The women\`s level of commitment was higher than man. 2)Centralization was negative to the organizational commitment. 7)The rank that influence on the organizational commitment was work experience first, and then organizational characteristics, and job characteristics was the last.

The purpose this study is tend to consider the direction and policy making when the libraries make a decision of outsourcing with the analysis of the application experiences of outsourcing in the academic libraries (including junior college libraries). The research method of this study is questionnaire technique with the theoretical search. The results of the study are as follows: Libraries which experienced outsourcing are satisfied with the results. The subject of the outsourcing are most focused on the cataloging. The efficiency rate was high when the library staffs was participated in the implementation of outsourcing. And respondents answered that the lack of professionalism of vendors which made the outsourcing difficult and reference work is impossible to outsource in the near future.

The numbers of population, areas, possessions, employees, operational budget, users, and circulated books in Korea Library Yearbook were collected for the purpose of analyzing the status of information disparity through libraries among four large regional groups in Korea in this paper. They were the main indicators of four types of libraries such as public, academic, special, and school ones. The collected data were classified into four regional groups, and were analyzed by using the comparisons of means such as t-test and ANOVA, and correlation coefficient if there is any significant differences among them or not.

This Study is to analyze the effect that the subordinate factors which compose transformational leadership and transaction leadership, cause stress syndrome. The results of this study are as fellows 1) There were no relationships between the stress syndrome and the term of service : however, the level of stress among librarians tended towards fairly high level 2) The charisma and the Individualized consideration of transformational leadership showed negative(-) effects on stress syndrome. 3) The management-by-exception of transaction leadership showed positive(+) relationship with stress syndrome, and the contingent reward, negative(-)relationship. 4) The effect causing stress was greater In transformational leadership than in transaction leadership. Therefore, it was confirmed that the charisma and the individualized consideration of transformational leadership were variables decreasing stress, and the management-by-exception of transaction leadership was a variable increasing stress.

The purpose of this study is to activate the videorecordings in public libraries. The method of activation is to analysis of data which collected through questionnaire from respondent libraries. The results of the study are as follows : 1. The budget of videorecordings is absolutely short. 2 The acquisition policy of videorecordings is not planned because of short budget and little standard selection tool. 3. Most of public libraries wanted to exchange and use of videorecordings through interlibrary loan. 4. The subject of collected videorecordings was almost oriented to the education and motion pictures. 5. Specialized collection policy of public libraries in Pusan is not considered in videorecordings selection. 6. 87 percent of public libraries are not circulate videorecordings to the end-user. 7. Group watching planning of videorecordings in public libraries was done by monthly. 8. 70 percent of public libraries was not perform user reaction survey after watching. 9. 13 percent of public libraries has done the video tape recording of TV programming. 10. Most of public libraries had not a video to introduce themselves and user also had not a plan to create a video. 11. Most of public libraries recognized the copyright law but they wanted to reproduct the videorecordings for user with permission of authors.

The free learning semester system focuses on the activation of career education of middle school students as an educational policy that links career recognition in elementary school, career search in middle school, and career planning in high school. This system was fully implemented in 2016 and public libraries also provided various programs. This study analyzed the free learning semester system programs of public libraries in Busan city and demonstrated the contribution of local development. As a result, career and job search, career exploration and experience, and information literacy enhancement programs contributed to local knowledge culture, reading culture, learning culture, living culture and leisure culture. However, contribution of reading exhibitions, job experience, information literacy enhancement to the leisure culture and local economy were limited. Therefore, it is desirable that all libraries should add programs related to knowledge ecosystem structure, digital information gap, human healing, social environment issues, future job prospects, and provide information literacy programs.

This study aims to suggest the sustainable services for academic library in the New Normal Age, analyzing the online services during the COVID-19 pandemic. For this purpose, this study examined the operation condition of academic libraries' services during the COVID-19, analyzing the untact and online services of 63 libraries of universities which have more than 10,000 students. And this research classified the online services into three types, which are 'collection', 'facilities', 'programs' and examined the library homepage and development plans of academic libraries. This study also looked into the services of Korean public libraries and foreign libraries to suggest the sustainable services for academic library. As a result, this study suggests 'providing online materials for course reserves', 'expansion of research and study curation services to invigorate the use of library materials', 'introducing the smart library system and renovation of library facility and space services', 'planning of online programs through expansion of interaction with users'.

This is a study to establish the feasibility in terms of the use of the J library, which will be built in Jurye-dong, Sasang-gu, Busan. Accordingly, this study conducted a community analysis and user survey to confirm the necessity of building a library and suggested directions for services that the library should provide in the future. To this end, a community analysis was conducted primarily on Sasang-gu, such as population distribution status, cultural institution status, and Sasang-gu vision. Afterwards, visitors to Sasang Library, Small Library, and Community Center were surveyed on the status of use of existing public libraries and the awareness of J Library to be built in the future. As a result of the survey, the necessity and intention to use J Library were found to be high, and the expectation for prompt provision of sufficient printed materials such as books and magazines was the highest. In the case of the desired space, the demand for 'open space' and 'small meeting space(family room)' was high, In the case of specialized services, there was a high demand for humanities, arts & music, movies, etc., but it was shown that they showed a general interest in various fields.
