Comparison of Substructure Synthesis Methods based on Global and Local Coordinates (전역좌표계에 근거한 부분구조합성법과 국부좌표계에 근거한 부분구조합성법의 비교)

  • This paper is concerned with the comparison of substructure synthesis methods based on global and local coordinates. The substructure synthesis methods based on the global coordinates were first proposed for the dynamic analysis of complex structure and the substructure synthesis method based on the local coordinates was proposed to solve the dynamic problem of tree-like structure. However, the conceptual difference between two methods in solving the dynamic problem has never been explained. In this paper, a structure consisting of two beams is considered to show the conceptual difference of two methods. The dynamic formulation shows the characteristics and differences of two methods explicitly. The procedure for choosing proper substructure modes in each method is also explained in detail. In addition, the advantage of the substructure synthesis method based on the local coordinate system is discussed based on the numerical example. Numerical examples show how two methods are applied to the addressed problem.

  • Component Mode Synthesis (CMS) is a dynamic substructuring technique to get an approximate eigensolutions of large degree-of-freedom structures divisible into several components. But, In practice. most of large structures are modeled by different teams of engineers. and their respective finite element models often require different mesh resolutions. As a result, the finite element substructure models can be non-conforming and/or incompatible. In this work, A hybrid version of component mode synthesis using a localized lagrange multiplier to treat the non-conforming mesh problem was derived. Evolution Strategies (ESs) is a stochastic numerical optimization technique and has shown a robust performance for solving deterministic problems. An ESs conducts its search by processing a population of solutions for an optimization problem based on principles from natural evolution. An optimization example for raising the first natural frequency of a plate structure using beam stiffeners was presented using hybrid component mode synthesis and robust evolution strategies (RES) optimization technique. In the example. the design variables are the positions and lengths of beam stiffeners.

  • GTL(Gas-to-Liquids)공정 중 합성가스 제조공정(Reforming Process)인 ATR(Auto-Thermal Reforming), SCR(Steam Carbon Reforming), POx(Partial Oxidation)의 시뮬레이션 연구를 수행하였다. Reforming 공정에서 생산된 합성가스는 GTL 합성유 제조공정인 FT(Fischer-Thropsch) 반응기로 주입되며, 합성유 생산에 최적의 효율을 보이는 H2/CO 비(합성가스에 포함된 반응물비)는 2.0으로 알려져 있다. FT공정은 합성가스를 원료로 고온 및 고압 반응을 거쳐 GTL 공정의 최종 생산품인 FT합성유를 제조하는 공정이다. 본 연구에서는 FT공정 효율 극대화를 위해 reforming 공정에서 생성되는 합성가스 내 H2/CO의 비를 2로 수렴토록 모사조건을 설정하였으며, 상기 조건을 만족하는 reforming 공정들의 운전 온도 및 feed 조성을 분석하고 비교하고자 한다. 현재 GTL 플랜트관련 산업계에 적용 혹은 주 연구대상인 reforming 공정으로는 ATR, SCR, POx 공정이 있다. ATR 공정은 $850{\sim}1100^{\circ}C$에서 메탄, 스팀 및 산소를 원료로 활용하여 H2 및 CO를 생산하는 공정으로 발열/흡열 반응이 상존하여 에너지 비용이 낮지만 공정구조 상 열회수설비 및 ASU(Air Separation Unit)이 필요하기에 CAPEX(초기설비 설치비용)가 높은 편이다. SCR공정은 CH4, Steam 및 CO2를 연료로 하기에 이산화탄소가 일정부분 포함된 가스전에도 적용이 가능하나 공정 운전 중 지속적으로 외부에서 열을 공급해야 하기에 에너지 투입비용이 높은편이며, 탄소침적의 문제가 있어 대용량 플랜트에는 적합하지 않다. POx공정은 약 $1,500^{\circ}C$의 고온에서 CH4가 O2에 의해 부분 산화되는 방식으로 촉매가 필요없어 설비비가 타 공정에 비해 저렴하나 생산가스의 H2/CO비가 다소 낮아 전체적인 GTL 공정효율이 저하되는 단점이 있다. 상기 세 공정은 GTL 산업계에서 실증 및 효율증대를 위해 주로 연구되는 공정이기에 본 연구의 분석대상으로 설정하였다. 본 연구에서는 상용공정모사기인 Aspen Plus를 활용하여 reforming 공정별로 FT합성공정의 최적 조건(H2/CO=2)을 만족하는 합성가스 생산조건 분석 및 비교를 수행할 예정이다. 운전조건인 공정 운전온도 및 feed 가스조성 등을 모사하기 위해 합성가스 reforming 공정을 모델링하고 공급유량 및 압력 등의 운전변수는 GTL국책과제 1단계 연구수행 결과를 토대로 선정하고자 한다. GTL공정의 경우, 설비의 운전조건이나 연료가스의 구성 및 유량에 따라 적합한 reforming 공정이 다르기에 본 시뮬레이션 결과를 향후 GTL 플랜트 공정모델 설계시 reforming 공정선정에 참고자료로 활용하고자 한다.

  • The component mode synthesis method(CMS) used for vibration analysis has demerit that error becomes larger, as degree of natural frequency grows higher. The reason of error occurrence is that Guyan's static reduction is used and the number of modes taken in each component is deficient. This paper proposes the substructure synthesis method using dynamic reduction to solve the problem from the component mode synthesis method. Computer simulation for the proposed method. FEM and the component mode synthesis method(CMS) on a rectrangular plate has been carried out to prove the avilability of the proposed method.

  • This is the first systematically research which investigates structure-activity relationships(SAR) of antibiotics of polyyne. In this paper, it is reported that tetrayne compounds composed of hydrophilic unit and tetrayne unit has possibility of strong antimicrobial activity. Based on the above results, the possibility of development as an antibiotic medicine was examined to synthesise the more improved antibiotic compounds with synthesized polyhydroxy novel sugar analog possessing the part of tetrayneol moiety.

  • The substructure synthesis method is used for making it easy to analyze vibration systems generally in vibration field. In the past, this method has been to be used mainly because of shortage of computer memory and CPU time. But recently this method is used for analyzing complex structure or identifying the characteristics of systems precisely. The purpose of this study is to develop acoustic substructure synthesis method that can be applied to acoustic modal analysis of complex acoustic systems. Acoustic modal analysis method to be introduced here is a method that analyze acoustic natural mode shape of the complex acoustic system by the principle of CMS(component mode synthesis method). This paper describes the acoustic modal analysis of the acoustic finite element model of simple expansion pipe by acoustic substructure synthesis method. The resutls of acoustic modal analysis analyzed by Acoustic substructure synthesis method and the results by FEM(finite element method) shows good agreement.

  • 본 논문에서는 다시점 영상과 스테레오 매칭을 수행하여 얻은 깊이 정보를 통해 가상시점을 합성할 때 적용되는 블렌딩 기법을 제안한다. 다시점 영상에서 스테레오 매칭으로 얻을 수 있는 깊이정보는 물체와 배경의 경계부분에서 큰 오차를 갖는다. 이러한 이유로 원본 시점들의 영상을 깊이정보를 통해 특정 가상시점으로 워핑할 때 물체의 경계 부분에 배경의 화소가 일부 포함되는 문제가 발생한다. 이 문제는 워핑된 영상들을 블렌딩하여 하나로 합성 시 영상의 품질에 영향을 주는 요인이 된다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 방법은 깊이정보와 함께 영상의 수퍼픽셀 분할에서 얻은 정보를 이용하여 블렌딩 대상이 되는 영상에 화소 단위로 가중치를 부여하여 해당 문제의 영향을 완화한다.

Evaluation of Structural Behavior of Large Studs Using Partial Composite Beams (부분합성보를 이용한 대직경 스터드의 구조거동 평가)

  • Large studs were suggested not only for the design of steel-concrete composite bridges with simplified sections but also for the shear connection in precast decks requiring uniform distribution of shear pockets. Based on the push-out test results on studs with diameters of more than 25 mm, partial composite beams with 40%-degree shear connection were fabricated, and static tests were performed. The ultimate strength and horizontal shear load redistribution of partial composite beams, which have parameters of stud shank diameters and distribution, were evaluated, and group failure in the shear span was observed. Since the flexural strength of composite beams are dependent on the strength of their shear connection, the strength of the stud connection was estimated and it showed considerably higher shear strength. From the load-slip curves, the sufficient ductility and load redistribution of large studs were confirmed. Uniformly distributed large studs can provide proper ultimate behavior of composite beams.

  • In this study, in order to perform dynamic design of machine tools reasonably and effectively, a method was formulated to be applicable to the damped structures connected by joints having elasticity and damping by using substructure synthesis method. And a nonlinear solution method was proposed and it formulates the nonlinear parts by describing functions and uses the reducing transformation matrix by the substructure synthesis method. The results of frequency response analysis of a machine tool, where an NC lathe was partitioned by three parts of spindle, housing and bed-base part and the nonlinearity of bearing parts between spindle and housing was modelled, showed force dependency of the response.

Specification and Synthesis of Speed-independent Circuit using VHDL (VHDL을 이용한 속도 독립 회로의 기술과 합성)

  • There are no standard language for the specification of speed-independent circuits because existing specification methods are designed appropriately to each synthesis methodology. This paper suggests a method of using VHDL, a standard hardware description language, for the specification and synthesis of speed-independent circuits. Because VHDL is a multi-purpose language, we define a subset of VHDL which can be used for the synthesis. We transform the VHDL description into a signal transition graph and then synthesize speed-independent circuits by using a previous synthesis algorithm which uses a signal transition graph as the specification method. We suggest a systematic transformation method which transforms each VHDL statement into a partial signal transition graph and then merges them into a signal transition graph. This work is a step towards to the development of an integrated framework in which we can utilizes the existing CAD tools based on VHDL. Also, this work will enable a easier migration of the current circuit designers into asynchronous circuit design.
