  • The study on correlation between the parents' character of orthodontic patients and patients cooperation. Although dentists have excellent skill and technique, patients' cooperation is always demanded. Patients' poor cooperation results in poor treatment result. Cooperation between psycho-social state of parents and patient's cooperation was studied. The parent's psychosocial state is evaluated with scl-90-r. The cooperation is measured by appointment time compliance, appliance taking rate, breakage of appliance, and fee paying. Parents' psychosocial contents are somatization, obsessive-compulsive, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anxiety, hostility, phobic-anxiety, paranoid ideation, psychoticism, and additional item. Statistics was done by SPSS WINDOW version 12.0 program. The result showed no correlation between patients' cooperation and their parents' psychosocial state. There is no correlation between father's psychosocial state and patients' cooperation except psychoticism. There is no correlation between mother's psychosocial state and patients' cooperation. However, there was correlation among cooperation variables: appointment time compliance, appliance taking rate, breakage of appliance, cost paying. Appliance taking rate and cost paying showed positive correlation. Our findings suggest that patients' cooperation does not followed their parents' pychosocial state. Other combined factors should be considered like pychosocial state of patient and doctor-patient relationship.

  • Objectives:This study investigated the relationship among child's behavior problems, maternal depression, and parenting stress in children with psychiatric diagnoses and their mothers, and the effect of these variables to the mothers' parenting stress. Methods:Seventy-three children(31 externalizing, 24 internalizing, 18 mixed) and their mothers were involved in this study. The mothers of three groups completed MMPI, KPI-C(Korean Personality Inventory for Children), and PSI(Parenting Stress Index). To investigate the relationships among each variables, ANOVA, Pearson correlation, stepwise regression analysis were performed. Results:There was no significant difference in maternal depression among three groups of children. In 2-Way ANOVA, main effect of maternal depression was statistically significant on depression, parent health, and relationship with spouse subfactor in parent domain, parent domain total, and overall parenting stress. But the main effect of child group was statistically significant on distractability/hyperactivity subfactor in child domain only. In regression analysis, maternal depression explained the parent domain of parenting stress most effectively, and child's hyperactivity and anxiety explained the child domain of parenting stress significantly. Conclusion:These findings suggest that it is important to intervene maternal depression to reduce the parenting stress, along with the treatment of the child's behavior problems.

  • The problems associated with the continuous method of a domestically improved prestressed concrete (PSC) girder and the bending moment of a continuous tendon were studied. Based on the results, a continuous tendon model was proposed that can resist the negative bending moment of an intergirder. This model lowers the anchorage of the continuous tendon as far as possible under the girder, and extends the tendon section arranged under the girder. This method reduces the PS's bending moment in the middle of the span, but maximizes it in the intergirder. This continuous tendon model can offer a suitable method for continuity before manufacturing a composite, which requires a higher design bending moment in the intergirder than in the middle of the span.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyse the reality and dynamics of transition of work-family reconciliation policy and gender regime in Germany to focus on recent introduction of parents benefit by applying meta path analysis. There is made of 'layering' in work-family reconciliation policy area. Because political barrier has alleviated they can introduce parents benefit, but cannot help stick to child care benefit because of internal barrier. But because parents benefit has activated by 'differential growth', German gender regime has suffered core transition of complementation that dominant structure has changed from 'sequential reconciliation' to 'concomitant reconciliation'. On the other hand, by 'purposeful decoupling' of gender area, core activists have attempted to cut the possibility of weakening of coordination relationship on main institutional areas of German model.

  • The purpose of this study is to check effects on the awareness of parents supporting in their self retirement preparation of the baby boomer generations who have faced relatively bad situation in this era considering the reality of great changes brought in the parents supporting spirit which was regarded as family and individual responsibility due to the rapid industrialization and urbanization. In the result of this study, some points such as religious, living status and monthly average earning show meaningful result and also all of the colligation in the retirement preparation standard concerning economic living life, health life, leisure time, family life, dwelling life and leisure life shows most significance probability of .001(*p<0.05) and retirement preparation standard relative to economic life indicates significance probability of .005(*p<0.05). Eventually this result shows that the higher people have retirement standard, the higher parents supporting sprit they have. So I would like to suggest some policy advices on the basis of this study. First stable supporting policy on their dwelling life should be assisted by differential methods, secondly social programs aid for leisure life through social activities like volunteer work are required, further more national based policy supports for youngsters are considered in order to reduce economic daily life on their economic activities.

Methods : We conducted an epilepsy camp on August 23-24, 2008, at Gyeongsan. Twenty families with an epileptic child each participated in the camp. We performed a survey before and after the camp to obtain data concerning parental understanding of epilepsy and the effects of the camp-based educational programs on the parents. The data were analyzed with SPSS 14.0 using frequency analysis. Results : The parents were sufficiently knowledgeable about epilepsy before the camp, and their knowledge and understanding of epilepsy improved further after the camp. Both perceived stigma and enacted stigma against epilepsy were found in 30.0% of the parents. The perceived stigma decreased to 15.0% after the camp. Conclusion : This study suggests that social approaches such as epilepsy camps are effective in improving parental knowledge and understanding about epilepsy as well as decreasing their perceived social stigma.

Also, they thought that curriculums of preschool educational organs have been set well according to children's developmental stages, education quality is different according to preschool education organs' foundation-types. They recognized that facilities and apparatus of preschools are satisfactory, security and neatness of preschools are satisfactory, too. Third, the examination of developmental directions of preschool education as a public education proved following facts; as for foundation-types of kindergartens in the future when promoting preschool education as a public education, parents answered financial support and supervision by the government, teachers answered aid and management of operational fees as well as support for teacher personnel expenses.

  • Princess Bari, the seventh daughter of the King and Queen, is abandoned at birth. She one day embarks on a solitary journey into the underworld to seek the antidote she needs to save her ailing father. The shamanic myth then depicts terrible ordeals, after which the Princess manages to obtain the elixir of life to bring her parents back to life, leading to her deification as the Queen of all shamans. The life of Princess Bari as the ancestor of shamans incorporates the necessary rite of passage to become a shaman, persevering through all manner of trials and tribulations until death and then being reborn. Princess Bari's story of deification as the goddess of shamans constitutes the archetype or the primitive image of the collective unconscious, the mytheme. From the perspective of analytical psychology, Princess Bari, who became the Queen of shamans after undergoing a process of pain, death, and then rebirth demonstrates a facet of the individuation process, evident in heroic mythology. Princess Bari not only cured her parents of disease but also brought them back to life. What enabled her to obtain the elixir to resurrect her parents was her love and compassion for them based on self-sacrifice, enduring all the trivial and repetitive undertakings of everyday life. She viewed the world and behaved from the perspective of a broader Self. Making herself a powerful healer through the ordeals in the underworld, Princess Bari is the psychopomp as well as the healer archetype. The sacred power of healing that goes beyond the Princess' sufferings represents the Self Archetype inherent in the mentality of the Koreans, in other words, a symbolic power that indicates the divine representation of a healer.
