Information Literacy Gap of Migrant Workers in the Multicultural Society (다문화사회의 이주노동자의 정보리터러시 격차)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the factor that brings about information literacy gap by comparing and analyzing the group with high level and not so high level information literacy for migrant workers and to seek policy to clear the information literacy gap. To accomplish such purpose, the author found the operation of various factors that bring about information literacy gap through in-depth interview of migrant workers and working level NGO staff. The result of interview revealed that information literacy gap of migrant workers is generated by the complex operation of personal characteristics, technical factor, social and economical factor, government policy factor and so on.

A Study of Factors Affecting on the Loneliness of the Elderly: Focusing on Urban-rural Complex Area (노인의 고독감에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구: 도농복합지역을 중심으로)

  • This study examined the factors affecting the loneliness of elderly in urban-rural complex area in Busan including personnel factors, health factors, and social factors. To examine the factors affecting the loneliness, 138 older adults, who are 65 years and over, residing Ki Jang in Busan, were interviewed through trained researchers. This study's results include the following. First, the result indicated that means score of loneliness among respondents was 50.6(SD 4.2). Secondly the factors affecting on the loneliness of elderly in urban-rural complex area were life satisfaction of personnel factors, level of activity of daily living of health factors, and social support(emotional and instrumental support) and level of social activity of social factors. So perspective of service of elderly have to expend for diminution of emotional and interpersonal problems. And social welfare service is need to modify and amend for variety policies. This study suggest that further research need in order to reduce loneliness of elderly.

A Study on the Effects of Convergence-type CRM on Relationship Quality and Customer Royalty in Kumdo Club (검도장 융복합형 고객관계가 관계품질과 고객충성도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was designed to shed light on the influence of CRM strategies on relationship quality and customer loyalty in Convergence-type Kumdo training clubs. The survey tool used for this research are questionnaires. The lead-time was achieved over a period of 23 days from 7 July 2014 to July 30th. The resulting data were processed by means of frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, correlation analysis using SPSS 20.0 program. The findings acquired based on the aforementioned research methods and data analysis are as follows: First, CRM strategies had significant influences on satisfaction. Second, CRM strategies had significant influences on some of belief. Third, CRM strategies had not significant influences on commitment. Fourth, satisfaction and belief had significant influences on attitudinal loyalty and behavioral loyalty. Fifth, Convergence-type CRM strategies had significant influences on attitudinal loyalty and behavioral loyalty.

Macro-environmental Drivers and Technological Evolution of Complex Product System: Evidence from Nuclear Power Plant (거시환경요인과 복합제품시스템의 기술진화: 원자력 발전 플랜트의 사례를 중심으로)

  • Complex product systems (CoPs) is a engineering-intensive products with high-ended design technology, which are closely linked with national economic growth and development of social infrastructures. Accordingly, in order to understand the technological evolution of CoPs, it is necessary to identify the macro-environmental drivers surrounding the CoPs and their impact on the technological evolution of the CoPS. Therefore, we investigate the effect of policy, economic and social drivers on the technological evolution of CoPS by implementing the longitudinal case study on nuclear power plant during the periods between 1950 and 2010s. Based on the analysis of various sources of secondary data and primary data through interviews, we found that the technological evolution of nuclear power plant is progressed as "Phase 1: Application research for peaceful utilization of nuclear energy" between 1950s and 1960s, "Phase 2: The first renaissance of nuclear energy" during 1970s, "Phase 3: Enhancement of safety and the catch-up of latecomers in nuclear energy" between 1990s and 2000s, and "Phase 4: Top prioritization of safety and the development of next generation reactors for the second renaissance of nuclear energy" since 2010s. We also found that various kinds of policy, economic and social drivers, such as energy policy, investment in technology development, economic growth and energy demand, social acceptability and environmental concern, have affected the technology evolution of nuclear power plant at each phase. We emphasize the role of macroenvironmental drivers in the technological evolution of CoPS. We also suggest that countries that endeavor to develop CoPs need to utilize those drivers for enhancing competitiveness and sustaining leadership.

Changes of Sensibility by Multi Sensory Stimulation with Suiting Fabrics (복합자극에 의한 슈트용 직물의 감성 변화)

  • 본 연구에서는 슈트용 직물의 촉각 자극 시 나타나는 감성 특성을 파악하고, 이를 바탕으로 직물의 스치는 소리가 공감각적 감성변화에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 분석하기 위해 물리적 평가 및 주관적 평가를 실시하였다. 피험자 20명을 대상으로 직물의 촉감을 평가하게 한 후, 그 직물의 스치는 소리를 제시하여 감각과 감성을 평가하도록 하였다. 복합자극으로는 직물별 tm치는 소리와 촉감을 동시에 제시하여 때 감성을 평가하였다. 실험결과 촉감에 대한 감성차원으로는 '심미성'과 '개성'의 두 가지 요인이 나타났고, 소리에 대한 감성차원으로는 '심미성'과 '고급감', '개성'의 세 가지 요인이 도출되었다. 심미성을 유발하는 촉각성 요인으로는 'pliable'과 'cool', 개성을 유발하는 촉감성 요인으로 'smooth'와 'cool'로 나타났다. 청각자극에 의한 감성은 'loudness'가 가장 큰 영향을 미쳤다. 촉감자극에 의한 직물 별 소리 자극을 부가하였을 경우 직물 소리의 물리량에 따라 심미성 요인에서 감성의 상승 및 하강 효과를 발견할 수 있었다.

The Study on the Explanatory Factors of the Disabled Women's Safety in the Convergence Society (융복합 사회에서 장애여성 안전의 설명요인에 대한 연구)

  • This study aimed to explore the factors explaining the safety of disabled women in the convergence society and was surveyed 374 disabled women nationwide. This study examined the factors that explain the safety of disabled women from the accidents and crimes in terms of individual, familial, and community characteristics. Main findings are as follows: 1) the safety from accident was largely explained by the community type and social capital condition in characteristics of community domain. The material hardship in characteristics of familial domain and disability level in characteristics of individual domain explained the safety from accident also. 2) the safety from crime was largely explained by the material hardship in characteristics of familial domain. And the community type and social support condition in characteristics of community domain and the educational level in characteristics of individual domain explained the safety from crime. Based on the findings, we suggested practical and institutional implications to ensure the disabled women's safety.

Factors associated with risky drinking of adult women: Focused on convergent implications (성인 여성의 위험음주에 영향을 미치는 요인: 융복합적 함의를 중심으로)

  • This study is aimed to examine effects of sociodemographic, social relation, and health related factors on risky drinking among early, middle, and older adulthoods. Using the sixth(2013-2016) National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, separate logistic regression analyses were conducted for women's early adulthood (n=1,143), middle adulthood (n=1,306), and older adulthood (n=875) to test factors associated with risky drinking. For study results, as for women's early adulthood, education, marital status, employment, depressive feeling, and smoking were statistically associated with risky drinking. As for women's middle adulthood, only subjective stress level and smoking were associated with risky drinking. As for women's older adulthood, education, suicidal ideation, and subjective health condition were associated with risky drinking. These results found different factors influenced risky drinking according to life stages. Based on these results, convergent implications about reducing risky drinking according to life stages of women were discussed.

Identifying Compound Risk Factors of Disease by Evolutionary Learning of SNP Combinatorial Features (SNP 조합 인자들의 진화적 학습 방법 기반 질병 관련 복합적 위험 요인 추출)

  • Most diseases are caused by complex processes of various factors. Although previous researches have tried to identify the causes of the disease, there are still lots of limitations to clarify the complex factors. Here, we present a disease classification model based on an evolutionary learning approach of combinatorial features using the data sets from the genetics and cohort studies. We implemented a system for finding the combinatorial risk factors and visualizing the results. Our results show that the proposed method not only improves classification accuracy but also identifies biologically meaningful sets of risk factors.
