Development of system NFC-based medication management for elderly patients (고령 환자를 위한 NFC기반 복약 관리 시스템의 개발)

  • With entering into an aged society, more people need to pay attention to their health and disease. In particular, it is significant for senior citizens with chronic disease to have a medication system because it is related directly to their lives. This study suggested the NFC-based medication management system for elderly patents. By developing a NFC-based medication bottle cap and smart phone application program, the suggested method can assist elderly patients to take medicines properly without missing or abusing them through guidance and alarm, and maintain their health.

  • Due to the development of improved living conditions and medical technology in recent periodic taking drugs is increasing through the outpatient rather than inpatient hospital care. Particularly in the case of patients suffering from geriatric diseases. This geriatric patients should have more attention to the taking medication management because it must keep the medication period. In this paper, we propose and describe an taking medicine information service system for the period and stable taking medicine in patients using the NFC-based u-Drug Cap and technology development and system test results. The developed system is through proper taking medicine information and alarm of geriatric patients or elderly patients. The patient's health can be maintained by preventing not taking and over taking of medicine.

  • 본 논문은 가정 내 센서 환경에서 주기적인 약복용 지원용 알림 서비스 실시를 위한 상황 인지 기술에 관한 것이다. 적절한 복약 서비스 컨텐츠의 생성을 위해 복약 상황의 모델링 및 관리, 상황 판별을 위한 상황 인지 기술이 요구된다. 본 연구는 Jess 기반의 상황 인지 모듈을 구현하여 복약 상황 인지 및 서비스를 추론할 수 있는 추론 모듈을 제안한다. 그리고, 상황 추론 시 발생할 수 있는 상황 충돌 문제의 해결을 위한 우선순위 기반의 충돌 해소 방법을 제안한다.

Analysis of Factors Affecting Nontherapeutic INRs in Korean Outpatients with Mechanical Heart Valves (인공심장판막 치환환자의 치료범위를 벗어난 INR 원인분석)

  • Background: Following the implantation of heart valve prostheses, it is important to maintain therapeutic INR to reduce the risk of thromboembolism. The objectives of this study were to determine the causes of nontherapeutic INRs, and to identify the factors associated with nonadherences to warfarin therapy in Korean outpatients with prosthetic heart valves managed by a pharmacist-run anticoagulation service (ACS). Material and Method: A retrospective chart review was completed for all patients enrolled in the ACS at Seoul National University Hospital from March, 1997b to September, 2000. The data on 868 patients (5,304 visits) who were at least 6 months post-valve replacement were included. All possible causes of nontherapeutic INRs were documented for each patient visit. The association of covariates to noncompliance was investigated by univariate analysis. Result: The reasons for nontherapeutic INRs were identified as follows: inadequate dosage adjustment $(21\%)$, nonadherences to dosing regimen $(13\%)$, drug/herbal interactions $(12\%)$, changes in diet $(7\%)$, and indeterminate cause $(42\%)$. Younger age, shorter duration of ACS and longer duration of warfarin therapy were associated with nonadherence. Conclusion: In this study, nonadherence and interactions between diet and medications were found to be important factors influencing nontherapeutic INRs. Longer duration of enrollment in the ACS affected the adherence to warfarin therapy Positively whereas younger age and longer duration of warfarin therapy affected negatively.

  • 의료기술의 발달로 인해 세계적으로 평균 수명이 늘었으며 그에 따라 노인 인구가 증가되고 있다. 2018년 기준 한국은 이미 고령사회로 진입을 하였다. 노령화에 따른 기억력 저하 등의 이유로 복약이 어려운 경우가 많다. 기존의 경우 단순히 복약할 시간에 대한 알림만 주는 경우가 많았다. 그에 따라 본 논문은 아두이노를 이용하여 약품 복용 알림 시스템을 구현하였다.
