Evaluation of the Impacts of SPD Connecting Lead Lengths and SPD Protection Distance to the Apparatus in Apartments (공동주택에서 SPD의 리드선 길이 및 보호거리에 대한 영향 평가)

  • The proper installation of SPD and the evaluation of the SPD protection distance are basic steps for the effective protection measures of apparatus against surges within a structure. A novel method for installing SPD on the conventional distribution board without any modification was proposed and it's effectiveness was evaluated by experiments. Also, the transient overvoltage occurred across the power line from the SPD to the load was simulated with EMTP software to see how different the protection distances affecting the magnitude of the transient overvoltage. As evaluated, the effective protection method of apparatus against surges, coordinated SPD protection system is suggested as a proper measure to protect within the apartment.

  • 우리가 과거 인식해온 지구 온난화는 단순한 자연의 섭리와 우발적 기후 변화에 기인한 것으로 판단하여 등한시 해 왔으나, 오늘날의 온난화는 계속되는 과학자들과 학자들에 의한 기상과 기후변화의 지속적 연구 결과와 더욱 표면화 되며 심각해지고 있는 자연 현상 등을 통해 이제는 우리의 재산은 물론이요 생명의 위협을 넘어 하나뿐인 지구를 잃게 될지도 모른다는 결론에 도달하게 되었다. 이러한 지구 위험을 알리는 경종은 대단한 경각심을 불러 일으킴과 동시에 우리에 의한 일련의 건축행위가 미래에 지속가능한 건축으로 유지될 수 있는가에 대한 심각한 고민에 빠져 들게 한다. 이와 같은 지구 보호를 위한 중대한 문제의 해결은 자신이 속한 분야에서 부터 그 실마리를 찾아야 한다. 이에 공동주택의 전생 애 주기에 관한 환경부하의 저감과 이를 위해 수반되는 경제성을 고려한 친환경적 최적설계 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

  • 2008년 3월 현재 세계 인구는 약 66억 7000만 명으로 나타났다. 이에 그치지 않고 세계인구는 계속 증가하여 2050년에는 90억, 그리고 2100년에는 100억 명이 될 것이라는 것이 UN의 예측이다. 인구만 증가하는 것이 아니다. 당연히 인구증가에 따른 주택, 도로, 기타 소회간접시설이 확충되어야 하기 때문에 농지가 감소하게 된다. 보다 효율적인 식량 증산방법이 없다면 식량부족문제가 더욱 심각해질 것이라는 것은 그렇게 이해하기 어려운 얘기가 아니다. 그러나 우리나라 국민들은 식량부족 위기에 대해서는 대체로 둔감하다. 그저 돈만 있으면 무엇이든지 구하지 못할 것이 없다는 생각을 가지고 있다. 그 이유가 뭘까? 과거 60년대까지는 식량부족 및 화석연료(석탄이나 석유)의 고갈에 대한 위기감이 매우 고조되어 있었으나 그러한 위기가 현실로 나타나지 않았다. 뿐만 아니라 우리나라는 현재 1980년대 중반 이후 산업발달의 결과로 많은 부(富)가 창출되어 식량 및 에너지의 풍요를 누리고 있다. 오히려 식량부족보다는 식품의 과잉섭취로 인한 비만이나 성인병 등의 부작용 개선이 더 시급한 현실상황에서 식량부족 문제는 다른 나라의 일로 생각할 수도 있다. 그러나 농지가 절대적으로 부족한 우리나라로서는 안정적인 식량공급을 위한 방안의 도출이 중요한 과제임에 틀림이 없다.

  • In according to the rising rate of divorce, single parent family has increased rapidly. And the number of single mother families is up to 80% of total single parent families. Especially the residential problem of low-income single mother families has been issue in social scope. But now facilities to accept these families are too short in Korea. Therefore this study aims for basic analysis of short-term residential facilities for single mother family. The survey of written documents and investigation of existing facilities are used by the method of study. In addition relief and rehabilitation facilities for mother and child in Seoul is analyzed by domestic example because of similarity to the model of this study.

  • 한국건설품질협회가 지난 7월 18일 건설회관에서 CS9001품질경영시스템과 AQUA품질평가시스템 제도 도입을 위한 공청회를 개최하고 국제수준의 품질기준 마련에 들어갔다. 최근 들어 건설시장 개방에 따라 국제수준의 품질기준으로 국내 고객을 보호하고, 기능인력의 품질확보 능력을 배양 시켜 해외와 국내공사의 품질격차를 해소, 국가 경쟁력을 강화하고 하자보수 비용 감소로 건설업체의 질적 향상은 물론, 재무 건전성을 향상시키기 위한 시스템이 요구됨에 따라 한국건설품질협회가 CS9001 및 AQUA품질평가시스템 제도 도입에 들어간 것. 이 시스템이 도입될 경우 발주자는 품질의 공신력 확보, 품질확보 계약적 근거 유지가 가능하고 시공자는 실패비용의 최소화, 협력업체 기능품질 강화 등이 기대된다. CS9001, AQUA시스템의 적용범위는 중급품질관리 대상공사로 총공사비 100억원이상 건축 시설물로 초기에는 주거시설만 우선 적용하고 공공 및 민간공동주택 중 공사비 100억원이상에 적용할 예정이다.CS9001품질경영시스템, AQUA품질평가시스템에 대해 알아본다.

Permanency Plan for Adults with Mental Illness : Focused on Mental Health System of New Zealand (성인정신장애인의 평생계획모형 : 뉴질랜드 정신보건서비스를 중심으로)

  • Primary care takers, especially older parents, who live with and care for an adult child with mental illness struggle with the dilemma of who will provide for their child's social and emotional needs and physical care requirements when they can no longer care so. Therefore, 'Permanency plan(financial, residential, legal plan)' is very important for social integration and normalization of mental illness adults. This study aims to introduce the mental health systems in New Zealand and to investigate the permanency plan strategies(benefit, supplements, and the laws) of the government and community support services of NGOs through the interviews with team leaders of representative NGO, Te Korowai Aroha. Permanency plan strategies of New Zealand Government and NGOs are as follows. 1) Financial plans for adults with mental illness include main benefit(invalid benefit), various allowances(family allowance and disability allowance), and wage subsidies for employment. 2) The Government provide accommodation supplement and re-establishment grant for residential plan. And NGOs have supported accommodation program to provide support and accommodation that are important for social integration. 3) Adult mental illness is provided the support of welfare guardian and property manager under the Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act. According the results, this study concluded that social services for the mental illness which secure supported accommodation and benefits is strongly needed. At the same time, mental health delivery system is needed to make distinction between social services and clinical services.

Study of the Residential Environment and Accessibility of Rehabilitation for Patients with Cerebral Palsy (뇌성마비 환자의 주거 환경과 재활 접근성에 관한 연구)

  • Purpose: This study examined the residential environment and accessibility of rehabilitation for cerebral palsy (CP) to identify the problems with residential laws pertaining to the disabled and provide basic data on the health legislation for the rights of the disabled. Materials and Methods: The literature was searched using three keywords: residence, rehabilitation, and accessibility. Two items were selected: residential environment and rehabilitation accessibility. The questionnaire included 51 items; 24 were scored using a Likert scale and 27 were in the form of multiple-choice questions. Results: This study included 100 subjects, of which 93 lived at home and seven lived in a facility. Of these 93 subjects, 65% were living in apartments, usually two or more floors above ground, and 40% of them were living without elevators. According to the Gross Motor Function Classification System, subjects with I to III belonged to the ambulatory group and IV, V were in the non-ambulatory group. Subjects from both groups who lived at home found it most difficult to visit the rehabilitation center by themselves. In contrast, among those who lived at the facility, the ambulatory group found it most difficult to leave the facility alone, while the non-ambulatory group found it most difficult to use the toilet alone. Moreover, 83% of respondents thought that rehabilitation was necessary for CP. On the other hand, 33% are receiving rehabilitation services. Rehabilitation was performed for an average of 3.6 sessions per week, 39 minutes per session. Conclusion: There is no law that ensures secure and convenient access of CP to higher levels. Laws on access routes to enter rooms are insufficient. The disabled people's law and the disabled person's health law will be implemented in December 2017. It is necessary to enact laws that actually reflect the difficulties of people with disabilities. Based on the results of this study, an investigation of the housing and rehabilitation of patients with CP through a large-scale questionnaire will necessary.

A Study on the Minimum Standards of Housing Repair for Older People Living in the Community (지역사회 노인을 위한 주택수리 및 개조 최저기준에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is 1) to clarify that the house is no long the safe place through the cases of the senior safety accidents and to argue the need for housing repair and 2) to present the minimum standards for housing repair by comparing the cases here as well as the abroad and to back up the standards with the current senior housing environment 300 people at least 60 years old living in Seoul$\cdot$Metropolitan area were interviewed using the structured questionnaire. As the result, the following conclusions were made: 1. There was high accident rates of the senior residents due to physical deficits within the house, causing excessive medical cost and decreased housing satisfaction. This problem can be sufficiently prevented by housing repair which can not only solve the safety problem but also support self sufficient living for the senior residents. 2. Proper housing repair required the architectural know how as well as the expertise knowledge of the physical characteristics of the senior people. Therefore, it is essential to secure the professional (i.e., occupational therapist) who can analyze the needs of the senior residents and evaluate and/or predict the obstacles during repair. Furthermore, development and distribution of the standardized manual are also needed. 3. The minimum standard for housing repair could be approached in view of 'barrier-free' concept. First, the bumps should be removed, slippery prevented, and safety grab-bar installed for safety. Second, the entrance should be widened and the bathroom and kitchen restructured to support for the senior residents' self sufficiency. To make housing repair policy more efficient, the legal basis is required. It can be incorporated into the existing senior citizens 'Welfare Act' or the 'Senior Residents Medical Insurance' which will be effective starting in 2007.

  • As the interest of environment is increasing all over the world, the effort to protect environment in many industries is also being made. In the case of Construction, the effort keeps being made in effect as well. Therefore, this paper suggests the environmental-friendly smart component system which contains multiple performances such as Environmental-friendly, high-durability, variability, renovation and comfort and could be the basic factor of future building. As the enquired performances for the development of environmentally-friendly intelligent component system are grasped, the key technology to be embodied are analyzed. In the result of the analysis, SI(Skeleton & Infill) housing and Home automation are deduced as the key technology. Furthermore, it look through concept and development tendency of the main factors. Finally environmental-friendly smart component system is suggested with conversing the factors deduced.
