여기서는 보완대체의학의 임상효능을 평가하기 위한 일반적인 연구원칙들을 제시하였다. 어떻게 우리가 보완대체의학을 평가할 것인가? 그것이 정말 통상의학과 다른가? 우리는 보완대체의학을 통상의학과 비교하여 우리의 연구 질문들을 다르게 제시해야만 하는가? 보완대체의학은 안전하고 경제적인가? 그리고 우리가 이러한 전문적인 이슈들을 어떻게 제시할 것인가? 보완대체의학 연구는 관심을 가진 임상가들에게 지적인 도전을 제시 한다. 과학적으로 평가하는 것은 가능하긴 하지만 어렵다. 특정 약물치료를 통한 무작위대조 임상시험들은 침술, 동종요법, 수기요법과 같은 유사한 분야의 학문들보다 계획하고 투여하는 것이 훨씬 쉽다. 보완대체의학 분야에서 임상연구의 전술과 전략들은 개념상의 연속되는 도전들을 제시할 것이다.

The purpose of this study was to analyse undergraduate medical students' perception of the complementary and alternative medicine(CAM) and Korean medicine. A total of 409 undergraduate medical students participated in the survey. Methodologically, descriptive statistics, MANOVA and logistic regression analysis were conducted. First grade students had more positive perception of CAM and Korean medicine than others. There were no significant differences in the perception of CAM in terms of students' grade and gender(affective attitude, compatability, effectiveness, intention to adoption). However, there was gender difference in perception of Korean medicine. Also, the result showed that students' perception of effectiveness had influence whether they recognize CAM and Korean medicine as medicine or not. Based on results, this study suggest that medical school should develop the curriculum that improve students decision-making ability and critical capacity, especially for lower grades, so that stdents can give reasonable advice for patients' needs.

The purpose of this study was to find out how to apply CAM to college students by studying the perceptions and application factors of CAM, the actual condition of application, satisfaction according to sex, and usefulness. The subjects of this study are narrative research on H university students in Chungnam. The results of this study showed that 150(50.3%) respondents recognized CAM as an auxiliary means of modern medicine, 61(20.3%) mental and psychological stability (33.7%), and the satisfaction rate of CAM according to gender was higher in women than in men. The usefulness of CAM was 2.60, and the improvement and characteristics were 2.32 and 2.80, respectively. As a result of this study, it is necessary for university students who are the foundation of society to correctly recognize and promote CAM to prevent disease and maintain health. In addition, the analysis of the recognition and application factors of CAM, and the satisfaction according to gender, could provide information for program development of CAM in the future.

Today modern people have been searching on managing themselves in easy ways without side-effects to lead a healthy and quality life, accordingly concerns about complementary and alternative medicine have been increasing. The scientific term' complementary and alternative medicine' has been originally used in the US and has become the general term for natural treatment of medical methods, which can be suggested as an alternative solution to modern medical problems. There should be a study based on users' subjectivity to reinvigorate complementary and alternative medicine more than it does now. The purpose of this study is to offer basic materials when assessing practical applications on complementary and alternative medicine using the Q method which is subjective pattern analysis, help understand features of complementary and alternative therapy according to patterns, and find out preferences for patterns of complementary and alternative therapy. As a result patterns of complementary and alternative medicine were classified into three types. Firstly, type I prefers to biological/herbal treatment. Secondly, type II prefers to mixed treatments. Thirdly, type III prefers to manual healing.

많은 암 환자들이 보완대체의학(CAM)의 치료법을 이용한다. 의사들은 보완대체의학 치료법에 대한 권위 있는 정보들을 이를 찾는 환자들에게 책임 있는 조언을 줄 수 있기 위해 필요로 한다. 이 글은 암 환자에게 일반적으로 사용되는 선택된 보완대체의학 치료법의 효과와 안정성에 대한 최근의 증거를 요약했다. 식이요법과 보조식품, 한약 및 기타 생약제재, 침, 마사지, 운동, 심리 및 심신의학 등의 주요 카테고리가 포함되었다. 효과의 증거에 대한 '가능한 질병진행과 생존율에 대한 효과' 및 '가능한 완화효과'의 두 가지 범주가 고려되었다. 안전성의 증거를 평가하는데 있어 '직적접인 부작용의 위험'과 '통상적 치료법과의 상호작용에 의한 위험'의 두 가지 위험 요소가 고려되었다. 각각의 치료에 있어 효용성과 안정성에 대한 현재의 균형은 이 치료법이 적절히 권고가 되고 수용되어지거나(예를 들어 유방암과 전립선암을 가진 영양 섭취가 충분한 환자의 식이지방 감소) 억제되는 것을(예를 들어 과량의 비타민 A 보조제) 제시한다. 이러한 전략은 보완대체의학의 치료법을 찾는 암환자들에게 책임 있고 근거중심적이고 환자중심적인 조언을 제공하는 것을 발전시킬 수 있다.

목표 : 본 연구는 인천 지역에 사는 24~60개월 영유아를 가진 부모들의 보완대체요법에 대한 인식을 조사한 연구로, 보완대체요법 활용을 통한 한방과의 연계에 대한 가능성을 타진하기 위해 연구되었다. 방법 : 박지현(2007)이 사용한 질문지를 본 연구에 맞게 수정 보완하여 사용하였다. 수집한 자료는 SPSS 12를 사용하여 분석하였다. 결과 : 1) 영유아를 둔 한국의 모든 어머니는 자녀의 건강에 관심이 많았으며, 올바른 생활 습관을 갖게 하는 것이 가장 중요하다고 생각하였다. 2) 실제 80% 정도의 부모가 자녀에게 보완대체요법을 제공하였으며, 주로 예방차원에서 제공하기 때문에 질병이 발생하기 전에 사용을 하였다. 3) 보완대체요법은 질병이 발생했을 때 사용을 하지만, 보완대체요법의 사용은 주로 병원치료와 병행하는 경우가 많았다. 4) 직접 보완대체요법을 사용한 부모들의 80% 정도는 긍정적인 반응을 보였고, 이들 중 81% 정도는 다시 사용을 하겠다는 반응을 보였다. 결론 : 영유아 부모들은 건강 증진을 위한 보완대체의학에 대해 긍정적으로 인식하고 있었다. 이러한 결과는 한의학 영역에서 영유아 부모들에게 자녀의 건강을 효과적으로 증진시킬 수 있는 전문적인 의료지식뿐만 아니라 이들이 한의학에 접근할 수 있는 다양한 방법을 고안할 필요성을 제시하고 있다.

This study is a descriptive research study to analyze knowledge and attitude about CAM and aromatherapy for health department students in H8 university health department students(528 students) in Chungcheongdo-do. The results of this study showed that the treatment methods and therapeutic advantages of CAM showed a positive attitude and the recognition of the therapeutic effect on aromatherapy was somewhat higher. However, the knowledge level of aromatherapy was rather low. The students of the department of health science showed a relatively high awareness of the need for education in CAM, but aromatherapy showed a relatively low perception. Therefore, in order to reduce patient welfare and symptom in health department, it is necessary to develop knowledge training for knowledge application and effective treatment and development of clinical practice program for various treatment methods.

보완대제의학의 한분야인 Color Therapy에 대한 과학적 진단을 위해, 색(color)이 인체에 미치는 영향을 정량화 하기위한 선행 기초연구로서 자연광에 포함된 가시광선의 파장이 인체에 미치는 영향을 계측하고 분석하기 위한 시스템의 설계에 대하여 연구하였다. 인체를 구성하는 세포는 세포하나하나가 살아있는 생명체로서 주변환경에 대하여 반응을 하고, 그 반응으로부터 생체신호가 발생하며, 발생된 생계신호는 인체의 다양한 구성기관에 전달되고, 전달받은 기관은 그 신호에 반응한다[4][5]. 따라서 가시광선 영역의 색이 인체에 미치는 영 향분석은 보완대체의학 발전에 중요한 요소라 할 수 있다. 본 연구를 통해 설계한 "Color therapy 진단 System"은 가시광선 중에서 특정 파장대의 빛을 발생시켜 방사하며, 방사된 빛을 조사받은 사람의 신체가 반응하는 신체 상태를 한방적인 진단요소인 "맥", "기혈전류변화"[1][2], "체온변화"등을 계측하고 이를 정량화하는 연구를 수행하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 그 동안 시회저변에서 이루어지고 있던 보완대체의학 분야의 의료행위에 대한 과학화, 정량화를 위해 필요한 중요한 시발점으로 사료된다.

It is true that medical fields have been grown a lot in all its aspects and they have given much efforts to suppress intractable disease including atopic dermatitis. However, instead of decreasing those diseases, it is not controllably increased in recent years. Especially atopic dermatitis is now an issue in medical and social community because of its serious direct or indirect damages. So that, this study gives few suggestions for utilizing manipulative therapies in CAM to minimize direct or indirect atopic damages and to provide diverse medical service methods which have yet not been used in aptopic dermatitis patients and their family.
