Development of Malicious Traffic Detection and Prevention System by Embedded Module on Wireless LAN Access Point (무선 LAN Access Point에서 임베디드 형태의 유해 트래픽 침입탐지/차단 시스템 개발)

  • With the increasing popularity of the wireless network, the vulnerability issue on IEEE 802.1x Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) are more serious than we expected. Security issues range from mis-configured wireless Access Point(AP) such as session hijacking to Denial of Service(DoS) attack. We propose a new system based on intrusion detection or prevention mechanism to protect the wireless network against these attacks. The proposed system has a security solution on AP that includes an intrusion detection and protection system(IDS/IPS) as an embedded module. In this paper, we suggest integrated wireless IDS/IPS module on AP with wireless traffic monitoring, analysis and packet filtering module against malicious wireless attacks. We also present that the system provides both enhanced security and performance such as on the university wireless campus network.

  • Current CCTV systems, which require continuous monitoring of the screens, have the limitation to detect and respond to the crime scenes in timely manner. Therefore, in recent years, the request for more intlligent surveillance system, with a ubiquitous sensor network, is increasing in order to behave more humanly fashions. Such systems require cllective data processing of the environments based on various sensors. In this article, we suggests a new paradigm based surveillance system which integrates PSD and dual PIR sensors. The proposed system evlves from a existing indoor intrusion detection system which can only identify the intrusion event to a better inteligent system with context awareness. We have conducted the various simulations in order to prove the effectiveness of the proposed system.

  • The user valence of VoIP services with SIP protocol is increasing rapidly because of cheap communication cost and its conveniency. But attacker can easily modify the packet contents of SIP protocol as SIP header is transmitted by using UDP methods in text form. The reason is that SIP protocols does not provide an authentication function on the transmission session. Therefore, existing SIP protocol is very weak on SIP Packet Flooding attack etc. In order to solve like this kinds of SIP vulnerabilities, we used SIP status codes under the monitoring module for detecting SIP Flooding attacks and additionally proposed an advanced protocol where the authentication and security function is strengthened about SIP packet. We managed SIP session spontaneously in order to strengthen security with SIP authentication function and to solve the vulnerability of SIP protocol. The proposed mechanism can securely send SIP packet to solves the security vulnerability with minimum traffic transmission. Also service delay in SIP proxy servers will be minimized to solve the overload problem on SIP proxy server.

  • It is growing to use the E-Commerce, recently However, if a cracking tool that detects e keyboard input is set up, users' input values and personal information could be taken away. This paper shows the design and implementation of security system that prevent the keyboard input information leaking. The ideas of thus paper are encrypting the keyboard input values with using the keyboard interrupt hooking, the browser embedding program's decrypting the values in case of need and decrypting all values in the web server. The own input control was developed for direct attacks to the browser, and that the values of password fields which are showed as *(asterisk character) won't be decrypted in the client PC is different from other commercial keyboard input security systems. Consequently, this paper shows the chance of realizing a lot safer customer information protective system than before.

  • Recently, intelligent predictive surveillance system has emerged. It is a system that can probabilistically predict the future situation and event based on the existing data beyond the scope of the current object or object motion and situation recognition. Since such intelligent predictive monitoring system has a high possibility of handling personal information, security consideration is essential for protecting personal information. The existing video surveillance framework has limitations in terms of privacy. In this paper, we proposed a security framework for intelligent predictive surveillance system. In the proposed method, detailed components for each unit are specified by dividing them into terminals, transmission, monitoring, and monitoring layers. In particular, it supports active personal information protection in the video surveillance process by supporting detailed access control and de-identification.

  • VoIP technology is Eight New Services among Ubiquitous-IT839 strategies. This paper tested wiretapping or VoIP service in connected a soft phone and LAN and WAN sections, Internet telephones and a device. IP PBX, a banner operator network to have been connected to VoIP Internet network. As a result of having experimented on wiretapping of VoIP networks, Vulnerability was found. and a wiretapping by attacks of a hacker was succeeded in a terminal and proxy and attachment points of a VoIP network like a hub to follow a CVE list. Currently applied a security plan of an each wiretapping section in viewpoints of 6 security function of Access Control. Confidentiality, Authentication. Availability, Integrity. Non-repudiation in VoIP networks named to 070. Prevented wiretapping of contents by the results, the AES encryption that executed wiretapping experiment about a packet after application of a security plan. Prevented wiretapping, and kept security and audit log. and were able to accomplish VoIP information protection to network monitoring and audit log by an access interception and qualification and message hash functions and use of an incoming refusal.

  • It is a measure to overcome limitations that occur in the activity of detecting and blocking abnormal information leakage activity by collecting the activity log generated by the security solution to detect the leakage of existing financial information and analyzing it by pattern analysis. First, it monitors real-time execution programs in PC that are used as information leakage path (read from the outside, save to the outside, transfer to the outside, etc.) in the PC. Second, it determines whether it is a normal controlled exception control circumvention by interacting with the related security control process at the time the program is executed. Finally, we propose a risk management model that can control the risk of financial information leakage through the process procedure created on the basis of scenario.

  • Existing web-based system management software solutions show some limitations in time and space. Moreover, they possess such as shortcomings unreliable error message announcements and difficulties with real-time assistance suppers and emergency measures. In order to solve these deficiencies, Wireless Remote Control System was designed and implemented. Wireless Remote Control System is able to manage and monitor remote systems by using mobile communication devices for instantaneous control. The implementation of Wireless Remote Control System leads to these security Problems as well as solutions to aforementioned issues with existing web-based system management software solutions. Therefore, this paper has focused on the security matters related to Wireless Remote Control System. The designed security functions include mobile device user authentication and target system access control. For security verification of these security functions introduced CPN(Coloured Petri Nets) which is capable of expressing every possible state for each stage. And then in this paper was verified its security through PI(Place Invariant) based on CPN(Coloured Petri Nets). The CPN expression and analysis method of the proposed security function can also be a useful method for analyzing other services in the future.

  • The use of open source has the advantage that the development environment is convenient and maintenance is easier, but there is a limitation in that it is easy to be exposed to vulnerabilities from a security point of view. In this regard, the LOG4J vulnerability, which is an open source logging library widely used in Apache, was recently discovered. Currently, the risk of this vulnerability is at the 'highest' level, and developers are using it in many systems without being aware of such a problem, so there is a risk that hacking accidents due to the LOG4J vulnerability will continue to occur in the future. In this paper, we analyze the LOG4J vulnerability in detail and propose a SNORT detection policy technology that can detect vulnerabilities more quickly and accurately in the security control system. Through this, it is expected that in the future, security-related beginners, security officers, and companies will be able to efficiently monitor and respond quickly and proactively in preparation for the LOG4J vulnerability.

  • 자율운항선박 원격제어시스템은 선박운항상태모니터링시스템, 통신시스템, 선박제어시스템으로 구성되어 있다. 육상제어센터는 상기 개별시스템을 결합한 통합시스템으로 이루어졌으며, 지난 1차, 2차 연안항해 시, 실습선과 육상제어센터간의 육상제어에 필요한 정보의 송수신여부를 확인하고자 테스트를 시행하고, 그 결과를 통해 일부 시스템의 문제점을 식별하였다. 본 연구에서는 식별된 문제점들을 해결하기 위한 방안을 제시하였으며, 차후 진행되는 연안항해 시 시스템 안정을 위한 통합절차에 대한 지침을 제시하고자 한다.
