This paper deals with the reinforcement performance of acrylate for reinforcing the settled railway roadbed. Concrete tracks have the advantage of reducing track maintenance costs and high resistance to track destruction. However, roadbed settlement is occurring in some construction sections, and the safety of railways is a serious concern because of difficulties in maintenance. Currently, maintenance through the track restoration method is being carried out in Korea as a way of roadbed settlement in concrete tracks, but continuous re-settlement can occur because the roadbed itself cannot be reinforced, and there are very few cases of reinforcement of railway roadbeds and field application. So the development of reinforcement materials and construction methods to reinforce railway roadbeds is required. Therefore, in this paper, acrylate was selected as reinforcement material for railway roadbed, and the reinforcement performance of acrylate was analyzed through experiment. As a result, it was analyzed that the acrylate can penetrate into a permeability coefficient of 1×10-4 cm/sec, and secure uniaxial compression strength of 0.5 MPa/30min or more and stiffness of 80 MPa or more.
Reinforced concrete is used for bridges and large structures that are constructed with social overhead capital because they are economically and semi-permanently integrated with reinforcing bar and concrete. However, when the chloride ion in the concrete destroys the passive film of the reinforcing bar by the marine exposure environment and the snow remover used in the winter season, and the reinforcing bar is corroded by various chemical and physical actions, the durability is deteriorated in a short period, and the life span is shortened. In this study, a repair method to recover the durability of the initial structure by effectively removing chloride ion from the damage caused by salting of the above mentioned reinforced concrete was conducted.
Asphalt overlay method is a general method to extend the of life old concrete pavements. However, reflection cracks are the typical problem of the AC overlay on distressed concrete pavement. Joint sealing, stress absorbtion layer have been used to prevent reflection cracks however partial success of to delay the timing of reflection cracking was recognized. Reflection crack problem can be eliminated by using rubblization method, which crush concrete pavement slab into piece of aggregate size that can be used base material. Previous research on rubblization method indicated that the size of rubblized PCC ranged 40-70mm at upper layer, and more than 100mm at lower layer. In this study, the adequate depth of rubblized PCC that ran prevent reflection cracking of AC overlay is estimated base on the simulation test of reflection cracking with 0, 10, 20cm rubblized PCC base.

In this paper, $CO_2$ amount is evaluated considering repairing timing and unit $CO_2$ amount per repair method including various stage of material manufacturing, moving, and construction. Four mix proportions with mineral admixture are considered and repairing timing/numbers are simulated based on the results from Life 365 which can handle chloride penetration. Furthermore two repair methods (simple cover concrete replacement and replacement with electro-chemical method for removing chloride content) are considered and the related $CO_2$ emissions are evaluated. From the study, the case with high W/B (water to binder ratio) ratio shows smaller $CO_2$ emission in construction stage but it increases more rapidly with increasing number of repair. $CO_2$ emission considering electro-chemical method greatly increases with the increasing unit $CO_2$ for the repairing method. The numbers of jumping step (repairing number) are evaluated to be 9 for WB37-OPC, 18 for WB50-OPC, 4 for WB40-SG, and 7 for WB47-SG respectively. RC structures with the longer maintenance free period are evaluated to be advantageous for saving $CO_2$ emission.

The objective of this study is to propose a modification of the previously proposed drainage system for catching the partial leakage of underground concrete structures. Two techniques were proposed for applying the drainage system only to the leaking parts. One was for conveying leaking groundwater to the collection point in the drainage system and the other was for conveying the collected groundwater to the primary drainage system of the underground concrete structure. Four waterproofing materials for conveying leaking groundwater to the catchment point of the drainage system, Durkflex made of porous rubber material, KE-45 silicone adhesive with super strong adhesion, Hotty-gel made of polymeric materials and general silicone adhesive were evaluated for waterproofing performance. Hotty-gel only showed perfect waterproof performance and the other three waterproof materials leaked. The modified drainage system with Hotty-gel and drainage pipe with fixed saddle to convey the leaking groundwater from the catchment point to the primary drainage system were tested on the concrete retaining wall. The waterproof performance and the drainage performance were evaluated by injecting 1,000 ml of water in the back of the modified drainage system at the 7-day, 14-day, 21-day, 28-day, 2-month and 3-month. There was no problem in waterproof performance and drainage performance of the modified drainage system during 3 months. In order to evaluate the construction period and construction cost of the modified drainage system, it was compared with the existing leaching repair method in surface cleaning stage, leakage treatment stage, and protective barrier stage. Total construction period and construction cost were compared in considering the contents of work, repair material, construction equipment, working time, and total number of workers. As a result of comparing and analyzing in each construction stage, it was concluded that the modified drainage system could save construction period and construction cost compared to the existing leaching repair method.

Various ductile fiber reinforced cement composite(DFRCC) including large quantities of PVA fiber or steel fiber have been developed recently and studies to find applications in diverse domains are currently conducted actively. Regard to economical efficiency, DFRCC becomes competitive when applied as special elements and repair material with small quantities rather than the casting of large volume for the main body of structures in field. The authors have developed FRP-DFRCC composite slab for bridges and a wet spraying repair technique using DFRCC. In case of the application on FRP-DFRCC composite slab, it was found that there was no problems the structure and durability of it after passed 3 months. And in case of the application on the application of the deteriorated sewage box that passed 20 years, it was found that there was no difference the repair performance between domestic PVA fiber and the Japan. Therefore, DFRCC using PVA fiber, the concrete structures can be increased to performance and secured the economical efficiency.
The main purpose of this study is to develop a sprayed FRP repair and strengthening method, which is a new technique for strengthening the existing concrete structures by mixing one of the carbon or glass chopped fibers and one of the epoxy or vinyl ester resins with high-speed compressed air in open air and randomly spraying the mixture onto the concrete surface. At present, the sprayed FRP repair and strengthening method using the epoxy resin has not been fully discussed. In order to investigate the material property of the sprayed FRP, this study carried out tensile tests of the material specimens, which were changed with the combinations of various variables including the length of chopped fiber and the mixture ratio of chopped fiber and resin. These variables were set to have the equal material strength, compared with that of one layer of the FRP sheet. As a result, the optimal length of glass and carbon chopped fibers was fumed out to be 38 mm, and the optimal mixture ratio between chopped fiber and resin was also turned out to be 1 : 2 from each variable. And also, the thickness of the sprayed FRP to have the equal strength to one layer of the FRP sheet was finally calculated. In is study, a series of experiments were carried out to evaluate the strengthening effects of flexural beams, shear beams and damaged beams strengthened with the sprayed FRP method, respectively. The results revealed that the strengthening effects of the flexural and shear specimens were reasonably similar to those of the FRP sheet, and the developed Sprayed FRP technique is able to be used as a strengthening scheme of existing RC building.

This study investigates the deformation behavior, related to debonding failure, of adhesion and repairing-strengthening materials of RC construction. A strain-stress curve shows that when the stress of specimens reached the highest and then fails, the strain value of cement mortar is $2.0{\times}10^{-3}$, while concrete was indicated at around $1.3{\times}10^{-3}$, epoxy resins are $0.8{\times}10^{-3}$, polymer mortar is $2.5{\times}10^{-3}$, steel plate is $2.5{\times}10^{-3}$, and carbon bar was $9.1{\times}10^{-3}$, respectively. For a thermal expansion coefficient with temperature variation, those basis materials, cement mortar and concrete, exhibited around $10{\mu}{\varepsilon}/{^{\circ}C}$, but adhesive materials, such as epoxy resins and polymer mortar, were $41{\sim}54{\mu}{\varepsilon}/{^{\circ}C}$ and $-0.5{\sim}0.7{\mu}{\varepsilon}/{^{\circ}C}$, respectively. In the case of steel plate is similar to basic materials but carbon fiber is indicates at $-1.7{\mu}{\varepsilon}/{^{\circ}C}$, which is the lowest value. Especially, between basic and adhesive materials, the thermal expansion coefficient was highly different. Although the coefficient depends on the type of epoxy resins, it is clear that the epoxy resins are susceptible to be debonded in nature, when the difference of environmental temperature varies more than $20{\sim}35{^{\circ}C}$.

In this study the reason which researches the feature of the exposure type waterproofing it uses the technique of the soft FRP it uses the soft unsaturated polyester and the square groove cutting technique with respects and solves the interface separate problem because of the rigid FRP it is used with the repairs and retrofit materials it is caused by in adhesion of concrete insufficiency. The feature of this technique was the dispersion and the reinforcement of the fatigue stress due to the integration behavior and the reinforcement due to the glass-fibre of the concrete due to the soft FRP resin and, it investigated the crack appearance confrontation of concrete and the cohesion stability of the concrete due to the square groove cutting technique with importance. The result of research when it applies the soft FRP with the exposure type waterproofing, is judged with the fact that it will be able to expect a bulge resistance confrontation and creak confrontation ability and cohesion stability improvement.
A fire outbreak in a reinforcement concrete structure looses the organism by the different contraction and expansion of hardened cement pastes and aggregate, and causes cracks by thermal stress, leading to the deterioration of the durability. So concrete reinforcement structure is damaged partial or whole structure system. Therefore diagnosis of deterioration is needed based on mechanism of fire deterioration in general concrete structures. Fundamental information and data on the properties of concrete exposed to high temperature are necessary for accurate diagnosis of deterioration. In this study, it was presented data for the accurate diagnosis and selection of repair and reinforcement system for the deteriorated concrete heated highly, various concrete such as standard design compressive strength, fine aggregate and admixture were exposed to a high temperature environment. And fundamental data were measured engineering properties such as explosive spatting, ultrasonic pulse velocity and compressive strength.
