  • This study focuses on the management of the news production system in broadcasting companies. This paper concentrates on the process of data registration and metadata management in order to examine whether the currently produced news can have value as a 'public record' in the long term, and whether reliable and accurate information is preserved. In addition, the user experience in the current system is analyzed through in-depth interviews with Ingest Managers, Editors, and Archive Managers, who are closely related to metadata creation compared to other members of the its News Department. Finally, a sustainable metadata quality management method is sought to increase the value of news footage as a 'public record'. In this study, these points can be found out: the metadata of the news agency footage is input manually according to the user's will or working style, that is, the user-friendly metadata input system is insufficient. Accordingly, it can be seen that the quality of the metadata of the news video continues to deteriorate. As an alternative to overcome this, it is found that work flow improvement, system improvement, classification system and metadata improvement plan, etc. are definitely necessary in the short and long term.

Development of block-type sidewalk pavement system using snow-melting system (융설시스템을 이용한 조립식 보도포장 기술 개발)

  • Snow-melting system has been applied not only to roads for car traffic but also to pavement for the pedestrians safety reason in some of the developed countries such as USA and Canada based on countermeasures against Natural Disasters Act revised in 2000. Even though this system was introduced in korea in 2006 and has been partly applied to car traffic roads, there is few places that the system has been applied. Therefore, in this research a snow-melting system with a block-type to cover a pavement that efficiently transfers heat form heat rays to the top of a pavement and protects the heat rays. A quality check showed that compression and bending strength was improved approximately 5 times stronger and 7 to 10 times more absorption rate than the KS(Korea Industrial Standard) requirement. Moreover, only 10 minute was required to increase temperature above zero with a block-type snow-melting system whereas approximately 180 minute was spent with the existing system. This research is expected to contribute to environmental issues and reduce accidents on a slippery road.

  • 얼굴인식을 통한 통합 교통관리 시스템은 현재 횡단보도 신호등에 대한 단점을 보완하여 보행자와 차량 양측의 대기시간을 최소화 함을 목적으로 한다. 주된 기술은 영상처리이며 얼굴인식을 위해 사용된다. 또한 중앙서버를 구축하여 각 교차로나 신호등간의 정보를 취합 할 수 있으며 이를 활용하여 차량통행 및 보행자의 통행이 원활하게 할 수 있다.
