  • The demands on hospital facilities are increasing because of the higher living standard and the advanced medical technology. The user-oriented concept of LDR/P(Labor, Delivery, Recovery/Postpartum), which reflects the current demand, were proposed in the delivery center and was recently introduced to Korea. This study aims to represent the data base for architectural planning and the design of the LDR/P in delivery center reflecting the domestic situation. The case study was performed to investigate the change of space and to consider the architectural characteristics of LDR system in delivery center.

  • Recent healthcare studies evaluate the effective impacts of a patient educational information intervention in hospitals on adherence to communicating knowledge, life quality, and therapeutic response in patients treated with highly active therapy in medical organizations. Therefore, the aim of this study is to design and implement the effective and systematic frameworks by providing clinical patient-oriented education system(CPES), which enhances health promotion and medical cures. CPES initiatives accelerate positive financial returns with network-driven educational system. To validate the CPES, the author analyzes the efficiency and effectiveness using statistical survey works. With this outcome, it is compared with previous system. One of the findings is that the system can improve compliance with treatment right dietetics and give patients self-manage their conditions in S hospital. Patients' acknowledge of their condition and its treatment process can be improved through the educational systems.

  • The current study is a meta analysis study to identify the factors related to infection management performance and the effect size according to the factors. Data collection was included from the data of KMBASE, RISS, KISS, DBpia, National Library of Korea, Pubmed, and EMBASE. R3.5.1 was used for the data analysis. A total of 22 factors were identified. The meta analysis showed the effect size as follows: gender(.16), age(.30), education(.32), beds(.28), needs of education in infection management(.44), participating in education of infection management(.25), recognition/knowledge in infection management(.70). Based on the findings, evidence based programs need to be provided to improve the infection management performance of health workers at Long-Term Care Hospitals.

  • Medical information is variously generated not only from medical devices but also from electronic devices. Recently, related convergence technologies from big data collection in healthcare to medical AI products for patient's condition analysis are rapidly increasing. However, there are difficulties in applying them because of independent developmental procedures. In this paper, we propose an intelligent hospital information system (iHIS) model to simplify and integrate research, development and application of medical AI technology. The proposed model includes (1) real-time patient data management, (2) specialized data management for medical AI development, and (3) real-time monitoring for patient. Using this, real-time biometric data collection and medical AI specialized data generation from patient monitoring devices, as well as specific AI applications of camera-based patient gait analysis and brain MRA-based cerebrovascular disease analysis will be introduced. Based on the proposed model, it is expected that it will be used to improve the HIS by increasing security of data management and improving practical use through consistent interface platformization.

  • Purposes: Organizational socialization introductory education for new members is a representative organizational socialization program that enables new members to become true members of an organization and grow into the people they expect from the organization. I analyzed the case of Pop Art Cooperative Learning introductory education for the socialization of the entire organization, which was conducted by Eunpyeong St. Mary's Hospital of Catholic University, in 13 steps, one month before its opening on April 1, 2019. Methodology: In order to analyze the case, the case study was analyzed in order from education planning to preparation, implementation and evaluation. The important point in this process is that all the members to be input at the start of the treatment are not included in the position and occupation. In the composition of education contents, the core keywords for achieving the vision are derived through each group activity and strategies for achieving spirituality, vision, and vision of Hospital are made and the ideal image of Eunpyeong St. Mary's Hospital is completed using the pop art technique. All the works produced by each group will be shared by all attendees of the relevant education level and the whole picture of each education order will be completed again with the big picture called - The heart of Jesus Christ the healer♥ - Respectively. Findings: Education Results All the participants showed high satisfaction and they shared the vision and mission of Eunpyeong St. Mary 's Hospital as well as the formation of intimacy and belonging to each other. They recognized the future direction and goal. And contribute to tissue stabilization. Practical Implications: Through this case study, it will be possible to contribute to establishment and implementation of introductory education plan for new members' socialization to new hospitals.

  • The purpose of this study was to prevent electric shock to children. children are at high risk of electrocution by accidents. In the present case, a 2-year-old child was electrocuted after inserting metal chopsticks into a home outlet. In this case, professional advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) was properly performed by a 119 paramedic, resulting in the return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) in the child. There are very few successful cases of resuscitation of patients involved in electric shock accidents in Korea, and we report a case of ROSC and discharge and proper resuscitation by a 119 paramedic.

  • Medical service robots are variously defined and classified by researchers and related government departments, but surgical robots and rehabilitation robots are commonly included in medical service robots, and except for these, the robots are classified as other medical service robots. In this study, domestic and foreign development trends and use cases were considered, focusing on logistics, guidance, and drug processing robots among other medical service robots. Logistics and guidance robots were developed quite a lot in Korea and completed a pilot project, or are being commercialized in hospitals, and exported. However, although the drug prcocessing robots was developed in Korea, the robot being use in the hospital was an imported. In order to expand and activate the robot market, systematic follow-up studies such as demand prediction studies are needed.
