물리적 데이터베이스 설계기법은 최적의 질의처리 성능을 제공하기 위하여 데이터베이스의 액세스 구조를 결정하는 과정이다. 본 논문에서는 변환기법을 이용한 공간 액세스 구조의 물리적 데이터베이스의 설계를 위한 영역분할 전략을 제시한다. 변환기법을 이용한 공간 액세스 구조는 원공간(original space)에서의 공간 객체들을 공간의 차원을 두 배로 하는 변환공간(transformation space)내의 점 객체들로 변환하여 관리하는 방법이다. 먼저, 원공간에 주어지는 모든 공간 질의가 변환공간에서는 한가지 형태의 범위 질의로 변환되는 특징이 있음을 보인다. 그리고, 변환공간상에서 이 범의 질의가 위치하는 질의 영역의 모양과 데이터 페이지가 위치하는 페이지 영역의 모양 사이의 관련성을 이용하여 질의처리의 성능을 향상시킬 수 있는 영역분할 전략을 제안한다. 성능평가의 결과에 의하면, 주어진 질의 패턴에 따라 최적의 공간 액세스 구조를 구성할 수 있었으며, 이차원 원공간에 대한 사차원 변환 공간인 경우에 질의의 형태에 따라 질의처리의 성능이 다섯배 이상까지 향상되었다.

레거시 시스템은 과거의 기술로 과거에 설정된 목적으로 구축되어졌지만, 여전히 조직 내에서 중요한 역할을 수행하기에, 새로운 시스템으로 대체하거나 변경하기에는 위험 부담이 매우 크다. 따라서, 레거시 시스템의 재공학을 위해서는 조직의 이해 당사자들이 합의한 명확한 비전과 이를 완벽히 수행할 수 있는 조직의 역량의 뒷받침이 필수적이다. 이는 동일한 목적을 갖는 유사한 레거시 시스템을 동일한 타겟 시스템으로 변환한다 하더라도, 조직이 갖는 비전과 구성원들의 역량 등 조직의 특수한 조건과 환경에 따라 재공학을 진행하는 전략과 프로세스가 매우 상이하게 적용되어져야만 원하는 재공학 효과를 달성할 수 있기 때문이다. 본 논문에서는 각 조직들이 그들의 업무와 역량에 맞는 재공학 전략과 변환 프로세스를 수립할 수 있는 가이드라인 제시를 목적으로, 아키텍처 기반의 점진적인 재공학 방법론인 마르미-RE 의 적용에 따른 재공학 전략의 도출 방법 및 맞춤형 프로세스 정의를 위한 변환 시나리오를 제시한다.

This study aimed to assess the spatial cognition strategies and roles taken by students in the process of solving spatial tasks. For the analysis, this study developed two spatial tests based on the mental rotation test, which were taken by 63 students in their final year in elementary schools. The results of this study showed that in terms of the method of approaching the tasks, students took the comprehensive approach and the partial approach. When solving the tasks, the students were shown to use the imagery thinking or analytic thinking method. In terms of perspective, the students rotated the object or change their perspectives. A comparison of the methods used by the students revealed that when approaching the tasks, the group of students who chose the partial approach had higher scores. In terms of solving the tasks the analytic thinking method, and in terms of perspective, changing perspectives were shown to be more effective. Such effective methods were used more frequently in discrimination tasks than in recognition tasks, and in more complicated items, than in less complicated items. In conclusion, the results of this study suggested that the partial, analytic approach and the change of perspectives are useful strategies in solving tasks which require high cognitive effort.

In this study, we proposed some fundamental considerations in application of a migration strategy for long-term preservation of electronic records. It also reviewed the notion of migration and various data migration strategies such as DPT and CAMiLEON through the literature survey.

XML은 웹에서 데이터 교환을 위한 마크업 언어로 반-구조화된 정보나 구조화된 정보를 교환하고 저장할 수 있으며, 표준언어로 채택되어 가고 있고, 강력한 표현력을 가지고 있기 때문에 다양한 애플리케이션을 가능하게 한다. 문서와 객체가 구조화 될 수 있는 방법을 제공하는 XML은 계층적 구조로 이루어진다. ORDB에서는 스키마 객체들이 계층적 구조로 구성되어 하나의 큰 객체를 이룬다. XML과 ORDB 사이에 단순한 XML 문서는 직접 변환이 가능하나 복잡한 XML 문서를 다룰 때는 객체 기반 변환 방법으로 처리되어야 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 XML DTD를 객체로 변환하고 변환된 객체를 ORDB 스키마로 변환하는 방법에 대하여 연구하였다.

This study conducted an analysis of strategies that the 3rd to 6th grade elementary students used when they were solving problems of comparing the size of the fractions with like and unlike denominators, and unit fractions. Although there were slight differences in the students' use of strategies according to the problem types, students were found to use the 'part-whole strategy', 'transforming strategy', and 'between fractions strategy' frequently. But 'pieces strategy', 'unit fraction strategy', 'within fraction strategy', and 'equivalent fraction strategy' were not used frequently. In regard to the strategy use that is appropriate to the problem condition, it was found that students needed to use the 'unit fraction strategy', and the 'within fraction strategy', whereas there were many errors in their use of the 'between fractions strategy'. Based on the results, the study attempted to provide pedagogical implications in teaching and learning for comparing the size of the fractions.

세계적으로 세계측지좌표계의 도입이 확대됨에 따라 우리나라도 2001년 측량법의 개정을 통해 현재의 지리정보 좌표계변환을 위한 노력을 시행하고 있다. 이러한 측면에서 본 연구에서는 세계측지좌표계 변환방법론, 변환사례 등을 검토 후 한국토지정보시스템 데이터를 대상으로 시범지역을 선정하여 변환실험을 실시하였다. 그 결과 변환 후의 데이터는 국가GIS활용 및 업무지원을 위한 참조적 데이터로서 충분히 이용이 가능한 수준으로 도출되었다. 하지만 한국토지정보시스템 데이터의 세계측지좌표계로의 변환을 위해서는 각 지역별 변환계수를 산정할 필요가 있으며, 지적데이터가 가지고 있는 다양한 원점을 통일원점으로 변환되어야 할 것으로 판단된다. 또한 마지막으로, 기존의 지적데이터가 가지는 다양한 문제점을 그대로 내포하는 수준으로 변환되었다. 따라서 한국토지정보시스템의 세계측지좌표계 변환을 위해서는 본 연구의 결과를 기초로 하여, 더 많은 대상지역에 대한 변환을 통해 오차와 오류의 유형별 원인 분석 후 한국토지정보시스템의 세계측지좌표계 변환의 체계적이고 계획적인 전략을 수립할 필요가 있다.

This study validated the strategic alignment approach for e-Transformation of the traditional firm through the case analysis of e-Transformation practices performed in Pulmuone Inc., which had been managed and operated in a traditional mode. The e-Transformation approach identified in this study was focused upon the strategic alignment among 4 domains of business strategy, organizational infrastructure and processes, IT strategy, and IT infrastructure and processes, and was performed in the following process: 1) developing IT strategy to perform business strategy, 2) building IT infrastructure and processes to support IT strategy, and then 3) transforming organizational infrastructure and processes based on IT infrastructure and processes. The theoretical implication of this study is to empirically verify the Strategic Alignment Model hypothesized by Henderson and Venkatraman(1994) through the case analysis on e-Transformation of Korean traditional firm, and the practical contribution is to provide a feasible and effective guideline in carrying out e-Transformation of the typical traditional organization.
