램제트 엔진에서의 화염 전파와 비정상 연소 현상에 관한 수치해석

  • 램제트 엔진은 비추력이 높고 추력 레벨은 낮으므로, 2단 추진기관에 적합한 추진 시스템이다. 1단-추진기관의 작동이 끝나고, 2단 램제트 엔진이 점화 후 안정된 연소에 도달되기까지 비행체의 속도는 항력에 의하여, 초당 약 마하수 0.1 정도씩 감소된다. 1단 연소 후 2단 램제트로 전환되는 지연시간이 길수록 1단에서 요구되는 종말 가속도는 증가되므로, 1단이 차지하게되는 부피는 증가되고 비행체의 크기 또한 늘어나게 된다. 따라서 1단에서 2단 램제트로 천이되는데 소요되는 시간을 가능한 짧게 하는 것이 효과적이다. 그러나 램제트 엔진의 특성상 선결되어야할 다음과 같은 여러 문제들이 있다. 첫째, 1단 작동 시 공기 흡입구와 연소실은 차단벽으로 분리되어 있다가, 1단 연소후 차단막이 제거되어 외부공기가 램제트 연소실로 흡입된다. 흡입되는 공기는 흡입구의 형상에 의하여 램 압축되지만 초음속으로 연소실을 통과하게된다. 연료 주입 구에서 공급되는 연료는 연소실에서 유동의 흐름방향(streamline)에 따라서 연소실로 확산되는데, 연소되기 전에는 유속이 빠르게 노즐로 빠져 나가므로 램제트 연료가 재순환 구역(recirculation zone)으로 침투하는데 쉽지가 않다. 둘째, 연소실 입구에서 발생되는 와류 (ring vortex)는 1단 연료의 고온 연소 가스를 연소실로 확산시키는데, 비 균일한 온도 분포를 유발하여 램제트 연료의 점화에너지가 공급되는 시간이 적당하지 않을 경우 균일한 화염 전파에 악영향을 준다. 셋째, 연소실에서의 빠른 유동 조건은 연료가 연소실에 머무를 수 있는 시간을 감소시키며, 연소실 입구에서 강한 전단 응력이 발생되어 화염이 안정화되는데 악 영향을 미치게된다. 본 논문은 공기 흡입구, 연소실 및 노즐을 통합하여 수치해석을 하였으며 열유동/점화/연소등의 미케니즘을 이해하고, 주요 인자들 중 와류의 영향에 초점을 맞추었다.다고 판단되며 배기 가스 자체에 대기 공기중에 함유되어 있던 습기가 얼어붙는(Icing화) 문제가 발생하기 때문에 배기가스의 Icing을 방지하기 위하여 압축기 끝단에서 공기를 추출하여 배기부분에 송출할 필요성이 있는 것으로 판단되었다. 출구가스의 기체 유동속도가 매우 빠르므로 (100-l10m.sec) 이를 완화하기 위한 디퓨저의 설계가 요구된다고 판단된다. 또 연소기 후방에 물을 주입하는 경우 열교환기 및 기타 부분품에 발생할 수 있는 부식 및 열교환 효율 저하도 간과할 수 없는 문제로 파악되었다. 이러한 기술적 문제가 적절히 해결되는 경우 비활성 가스 제너레이터는 민수용으로는 대형 빌딩, 산림, 유조선 등의 화재에 매우 적절히 사용되어 질 수 있을 뿐 아니라 군사적으로도 군사작전 중 및 공군 기지의 화재 그리고 지하벙커에 설치되어 있는 고급 첨단 군사 장비 등의 화재 뿐 아니라 대간첩작전 등에 효과적으로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.가 작으며, 본 연소관에 충전된 RDX/AP계 추진제의 경우 추진제의 습기투과에 의한 추진제 물성 변화는 미미한 것으로 나타났다.의 향상으로, 음성개선에 효과적이라고 사료되었으며, 이 방법이 편측 성대마비 환자의 효과적인 음성개선의 치료방법의 하나로 응용될 수 있으리라 생각된다..7%), 혈액투석, 식도부분절제술 및 위루술·위회장문합술을 시행한 경우가 각 1례(2.9%)씩이었다. 13) 심각한 합병증은 9례(26.5%)에서 보였는데 그중 식도협착증이 6례(17.6%), 급성신부전증 1례(2.9%), 종격동기흉과 폐염이 병발한 경우와 폐염이 각 1례(2.9%)였다. 14) 식도경 시행회수는 1회가 17례(54.8%), 2회가 9례(29.0%), 3회 이상이 5례(16.1%)였다.EX>$IC_{50}$/ 값이 210 $\mu\textrm{g}$/$m\ell$로서 효과적

  • An antioxidant- producing bacterium was isolated from sea water in Jeju island. The isolated strain, SC2-1 was gram-positive, catalase positive, facultatively anaerobic, oxidase negative, motile and small rods. The strain utilized sucrose, dextrose, fructose, mannitol and maltose as a sole carbon and energy source and sodium chloride was required for the bacteria growth. The radical scavenging activity of the culture supernatants was determined by DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) method. This bacterium was identified based on cellular fatty acids analysis and 16S rDNA sequencing, and then named Exiguobacterium sp. SC2-1. The modified optimal medium compositions required the addition of maltose $2.5\%(w/v)$, yeast extract $1.5\%(w/v)$ and $KH_{2} PO_{4} 0.05\%(w/v)$ in marine broth (Difco. Co. USA). Antioxidant activity of under optimal culture conditions were $93\%$.

  • Botanical antimicrobial agent-grapefruit seed extract mixture(BAAG), which could be applied to the preparation of antimicrobial packaging paper, was investigated in order to prove the preservative function of fruits and vegetables. HAAG showed remarkable antimicrobial effects against Fusarium solani Botrytis cinerea, Pencillium crustosum, Erwinia carotovora, Phoma destructiva and Alternaria radicina causing the postharvest decay of fruits and vegetables. We have examined that HAAG could inhibit the growth of microorganims when treated with more than 500 $\mu$g/mL concentration. The activities of HAAG were stable in the wide spectrum of pH and temperature. Direct visualization of microbial cells by using scanning electron microscope showed the loss of microbial cell membrane function, which was destroyed by treating with the dilute solutions of HAAG. We could confirm that HAAG be an antimicrobial agent for the preparation of antimicrobial packaging paper.

  • The mycelial mass of K. mutabilis greatly increased at pH 5.5~6.0 but decreased pH 6.0. The linear mycelial growth wsa mostly supported on sawdust of Quercus accutisima and the mycelial density wsa high on sawdust of Q. accutisima and corn cob. Much mycelial distribution could be showen in ray parenchyma cell and ray tracheid. Severe degradation of ray parenchyma cell was found but little degradation of ray tracheid cell was found. The dry weight loss wsa 5.9% after agar-block test. And the pH wsa acidified from 6.07 to 4.31 and hot water extractives was decreased after degradation of Q. serrata sawdust by K. mutabilis.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the possibility of composting of household garbage. The composter with the double layer walls was operated for 60 days in each season. The following results were obtained at the end of the experiment, if the time was not specified. 1) The maximum temperature was $31^{\circ}C$ in spring, $36^{\circ}C$ in summer and $50^{\circ}C$ in winter. 2) The mass was reduced to an average of 58.5%. 3) pH values of the compost were 8.21 in spring, 8.29 in summer and 7.94 in winter. 4) The ash contents were 55.8% in spring, 57% in summer and 73.8% in winter. 5) The nitrogen contents were in the range of $0.2{\sim}5.8%$. Its values were the highest in winter and the lowest in summer. 6) Inorganic contents of the compost were in the range of : $P_2O_5$ ; $1.5{\sim}4.41%$, $K_2O$ ; $0.02{\sim}1.31%$, CaO $0.13{\sim}1.68%$ and MgO $0.05{\sim}1.22%$. 7) Heavy metal contents of the compost were in the range of : Zn ; $13{\sim}89mg/kg$, Cu ; $4{\sim}62mg/kg$, Cd ; $1{\sim}21mg/kg$, Pb ; $N.D.{\sim}97mg/kg$, Cr ; $N.D.{\sim}37$ and Hg ; $N.D.{\sim}1.38mg/kg$.

Incubation Conditions and Physico-Chemical Factors Affecting Aflatoxin B1 Binding of Lactic Acid Bacteria (Aflatoxin B1에 대한 유산균의 결합력에 영향을 미치는 배양조건과 물리화학적 인자)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the aflatoxin $B_1$ binding of lactic acid bacteria (LAB) isolated from Korean traditional soybean paste and to evaluate the effect of incubation conditions and physico-chemical factors on the binding ability of LAB to this mutagen. The amount of aflatoxin $B_1$ bound by Enterococcus faecium DJ22, Lactobacillus fermentum DJ35, Lactobacillus rhamnosus DJ42, and Lactobacillus pentosus DJ47 was strain specific with the percent bound ranging from 19.3% to 52.1%. However, Enterococcus faecalis DJ14, Lactobacillus panis DJ29, and Pediococcus halophilus DJ50 strains did not exhibit any of the binding ability to aflatoxin $B_1$. For most strains, the binding ability was significantly affected by the environmental conditions such as the aflatoxin $B_1$ level, incubation time and temperature, and the initial cell count of LAB. The stability of the aflatoxin $B_1$-bacteria complexes was significantly more unstable after washing. In addition, the binding stability between viable and nonviable cells was not statistically significant. Treatment with heating, acidic pH, ${\alpha}$-amylase, protease, lysozyme, or sodium metaperiodate caused a significant (P<0.05) decrease in aflatoxin $B_1$ binding for the tested strains, suggesting that carbohydrates or proteins in the cell walls may be involved in aflatoxin $B_1$ binding ability. Since the aflatoxin $B_1$ binding of LAB was significantly reduced (P<0.05) by the pretreatment of the urea, the binding force observed in this study may have resulted from hydrophobic interaction.

  • An indigenous antagonistic bacterium Bacillus sp. 7079 was isolated from a local soil sampled at Kyongju area in Korea . The strain has strong antagonistic ability which was originated from multifunctional mechanisms of chitinase and antibiotic and is a powerful antagonistic biocontrol agent against red-pepper rotting fungus Phytophthora capsici and Wilt fungus Fusarium oxysporum. The chitinase might degrade the cell wasll for Fusarium species. The selected Bacilus sp. 7079 was identified as a Bacillus amyloliquefaciens 7079. The maximal production of the chitinase from B, amyloliquefaciens 7079 were obtained in chitin-yeast extract medium containing 0.7%, $K_2$$HPO_4$, $0.2KH_2$$PO_4$, 0.1% ($NH_4$)$_2$$SO_4$, 0.05% sodium cirate, 0.01% $MgSO_4$$7H_2$O, 0.1% yeast extract and 0.1% colloidal chitin after cultivation of 3 days at pH 7.0 and $30^{\circ}C$. The best carbon and nitrogen sources for the production of the chitinase from B amyloliquefaciens 7079 were determined to be 0.1% colloi- dal chitin and 0.15% proteose peptone NO 3 respectively, The antagonistic activity of B amyloliquefaciens 7079 was confirmed using P. capsici by in vivo pot test with red-pepper plant.

Numerical Analysis of Heat Transfer in the Ribbed Channel Inserted with Tape (테이퍼가 설치된 리브(rib)이 있는 채널의 열전달에 대한 수치해석)

  • Numerical predictions of a fully developed turbulent flow through a square duct ($30mm{\times}30mm$) with twisted tape inserts and with twisted tape plus interrupted ribs are respectively conducted to investigate regionally averaged heat transfer and flow patterns. A rib height-to-channel hydraulic diameter(e/$D_h$) of 0.067 and a lengthto-hydraulic diameter(L/$D_h$) of 30 are considered at Reynolds number ranging 8,900 to 29,000. The interrupted ribs are axially arranged on the bottom wall. The twisted tape is 0.1 mm thick carbon steel sheet with diameter of 28 mm, length of 900 mm, and 2.5 turns. Each wall of the square channel is composed of isolated aluminum sections. Two heating conditions are investigated for test channels with twisted tape inserts and rib turbulators: (1) electric heat uniformly applied to four side walls of the square duct, and (2) electric heat uniformly applied to two opposite walls of the square channel. The results show that uneven surface heating enhances the heat transfer coefficient over uniform heating conditions, and significant improvements can be achieved with twisted tape inserts plus interrupted ribs.

  • A two-phase (gas-liquid) flow is a common phenomenon in fluidic systems, e.g., fluidic systems in the electro-magnetic or nuclear power generation industry and in the steel industry. The measurement of a two-phase flow is important for guaranteeing the safety of the system and for achieving the desired performance. The measurement of the void fraction, which is one of the parameters of the two-phase flow that determines the pressure drop and heat transfer coefficient, is very important. The time resolution achieved by employing the impedance method that can be used to calculate the void fraction from the impedance of the fluid is high because the electric characteristics are taken into account. Therefore, this method can be employed to accurately measure the void fraction without distortion of flow in real time by placing electrodes on the walls of the tubes. Coney analytically studied a ring-type impedance meter, which can be employed in a circular tube. The aim of this study is to experimentally verify the robustness of a three-ring impedance meter to variations in the electric conductivity of the fluid; this robustness was suggested by Coney but was not experimentally verified.

The Comparison of the Characteristics of Partially Purified Internal Invertase by Mating Type in the Heterobasidiomycetous Yeast (이담자 효모균의 성접합형에 따른 세포내 Invertase의 성질 비교)

  • This work was carried out to study physiological characteristics of Rhodosporidium toru[oides cells having two different mating types. The mating type A produces internal. cell wall-bound, and external invertases while type a produces only two invertases except external invertase. Comparing their characteristics after partial purification of internal invertases from both mating type cells, invertase from type a has decreased 15% of invertase activity only by $Mn^{2+}$ I while invertase from type A has been increased 11% of invertase activity by $Zn^{2+}$ and decreased 15% of invertase activity by $Mn^{2+}$ On the effect of enzyme inhibitor, invertase of type a was inhibited from 12% to 57% by 2-mercaptoethanol, sodium dodecyl sulfate, phenol. but invertase of type A was slightly inhibited only by phenol. The thermal stability of both invertases has showed steep inactivation at above $80^{\circ}C$ and their optimal temperatures were similar at $60^{\circ}C$ . Invertase from type A showed stability only on condition of acid from pH 3 to 6 and its opimal pH was 5.0, while invertase from type a showed stability at the wide range of pH 3-10 and its optimal pH was 4.0. And the $K_m$ values of invertases from type A and type a were $2.5{\times}10^3$M and$3.4{\times}10^3$M, respectively.
