In this study, rheological properties and flow dynamics in roll coating process of basecoat paints have been investigated for automotive precoated metal (PCM) sheet applications. Various rheological properties for basecoats with three colors (black, blue, and silver), such as shear viscosity data at room temperature and elastic/viscous moduli under thermal curing condition, have been measured using a rotational rheometer. It is found that the relative portion of function groups inside basecoats and their viscosity level have greatly affected the formation of crosslinked networks by thermal curing. Also, operability coating windows for basecoats have been established in three-roll coating process system by observing their flow instabilities such as ribbing and cascade. It is confirmed that rheological approaches applied in this study have been usefully applied to develop environmentally-friendly PCM coating technology and optimally control the coating operations for non-Newtonian PCM paints.

Weatherability was examined according to aluminum particle size and its orientation used in PCM(Paint Coated Metal). Substrate delamination was checked by different UV transmission rate with QUV$^{(R)}$ (Q-LAB) equipment that can make accelerated UV irradiation. Film was prepared using three different types of conflake aluminum pastes under a PCM coating process and clearcoat was sprayed. UV transmission test results showed low transmission rate when EKART #790 having the smallest particle size and horizontal orientation was used. From the gloss retention results, gloss retention was highest in EKART #790 and followed by #770, #750.

The formulation of six basecoats was designed using aluminium pastes for the per-painted system in the automotive. The aluminium pastes contain pancake type metallic pigment, #501, #801, #601 and cornflake type metallic pigment, #750, #770, #790. The relative cure density of the basecoat increased in order of #501, #801, #601, #750, #770, #790. T-bending, impact resistance, and taping adhesion showed increment with increasing cure density. In the appearance( combined factor) test on cornflake type pigment, The basecoat including the smallest particle size pigment, #790 resulted in the best combined factor compared to other two systems(#750, #770).

In this thesis, Improvisation of Jazz Vocal that can be characterized as Jazz music, namely practice of Scat suggest that way of applied approach that root position of chord and chord tones. Scat plays a solo using reproduced tunes of meaningless scat syllable that is not use the lyrics and melodies, which are written in a score. For this, Using the root position of chord is a reference point that Jazz vocal constructs a musical melody. Singing person can develop that reference point from simple scat to develop increasingly complex scat and can express that musical expression and communion. It analyzed the music functionally with a standard Jazz music 'All of me' as the center from composition of chord tone that improvise song to bass line, bass scat, analysis of chord tones arpeggio and expression. In this thesis, the improvisation of a Jazz vocal that may seem somewhat abstruse and complex could be relatively easy to construct through a gradual approach.

Due to rapid growth of nail art industry, various materials and expression tools are have been developed. Increasing number of consumers favor diverse nail art techniques including painting and artificial tips in addition to basic care such as cuticle trimming or coloring. Accordingly, the diversity of polish colors has been settled as a concept of total fashion in addition to the clothes and accessories. As the result, nails may be damaged or discolored. A study the nail discoloration by using polish was purposed that contribute to the development of nail protective products. The tests were conducted with 20 college students for six months from March 3 to Aug. 28, 2009, using digital camera as the measurement apparatus. The students were classified into two groups which applied bright polish (white, beige, pink series) and dark polish (purple, blue, black series), and then divided into the groups applied and not applied the base coat which is known to be effective in preventing nail discoloration, and the groups applied and not applied tonic. The students applied polish for one week, and removed the polish with remover and photographed to examine the degree of nail discoloration. Dark colored polished resulted in earlier coloration and discoloration than the bright colored ones. Base coat could prevent coloration and the color changes of hyponychium and eponychium were lighter than the cases not applied with base coat. Tonic could delay coloration and reduced the color changes of hyponychium showing that tonic was effective for preventing coloration and discoloration of nail in addition to nutrition.
