트럭의 속도 및 범퍼높이가 보행자 전도거리에 미치는 영향 분석 (Analysis of Pedestrian Throw Distance from Truck Speed and Bumper Height)

  • 본 논문의 목적은 트럭과 보행자의 충돌사고에서 트럭의 중량, 속도와 범퍼 높이가 보행자 전도거리에 미치는 영향을 분석하고, 나아가 이를 이용한 보행자 전도거리에 대한 모형식을 제시하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 교통사고 재현 프로그램인 PC-crash를 이용하여 트럭의 중량을 5t, 15t, 25t으로 적용하고, 각 트럭의 앞 범퍼 하단 높이를 0.3m부터 0.6m까지 0.1m씩 높여감과 동시에 트럭의 속도를 10km/h부터 100km/h까지 10km/h씩 높여가며 실험하였다. 트럭의 속도와 범퍼 높이는 보행자 전도거리에 유의한 변수로 확인되었고, 트럭 중량은 보행자 전도거리에 유의하지 않은 변수로 나타났다. 또한 다중회귀분석을 이용하여 제시한 모형식은 조정된 $R^2$ 값이 93.3%로 매우 우수한 설명력을 가지는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 본 논문은 자동차 보행자보호 안전 항목 중 범퍼부에 해당하는 Lower Legform Impactor 충격에 대한 비선형 유한요소해석 결과와 보행자보호 충격 시험 결과와의 비교 및 정도 향상을 위한 해석적인 기법을 제시하였다. 유럽에서는 현재 법규로 평가되고 있는 범퍼부 보행자보호는 국내에서도 2013년부터 법규로 적용되어진다. 본 연구는 범퍼부 Lower Legform Impactor 충격을 위한 해석 시험의 상관성 확보를 위하여 굽힘각 저감용 스티프너의 단품 압축 시험을 통해 얻어진 힘 대 변위 커브의 분석을 통하여 해석 정도 확보를 위한 최적 모델링 방법을 찾아내고, 변위 측정 센서를 부착한 실차 시험과 해석 결과와의 변위값 및 거동간의 편차를 비교 분석하여 범퍼 보행자보호 해석의 정도성 확보를 위한 해석 기법을 제시하였다.

저속충돌시험을 통한 차량용 가스튜브범퍼의 복원수리비 절감효과에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Repairing Cost Down Effects of the Car Bumper Systems with Gas tube in a Low Speed Crash Test)

  • We have found that the damage of the front part for a vehicle and that of the rear part for a vehicle are the majority of frequency experienced by the traffic accidents. In conventional bumper system was designed by safety standard regulation at low speed crash. For example there are 2.5 mile and 5 mile bumper. The conventional bumper system was the crash from max 5.5 mile to 3 mile low speed occurs most frequently and results in the highest rate of repairing cost in statistically. On this study, in order to check the damageability and repairability of gas tube bumper system RCAR 15 km/h 40 % offset frontal crash test was adopted in low speed and we have a gas tube bumper parts test and vehicle test with gas tube bumper, we can find gas tube bumper system definitely can improve the damageability and repairability of the vehicles and contribute to down the repairing cost.

IIHS 풀 오버랩 범퍼 시험 대응 범퍼 백빔 중앙 보강재 설계 (Design of Bumper Backbeam Center Reinforcement Bracket for IIHS Full Overlap Bumper Test)

  • Since 2007, Insurance Institute of Highway Safety(IIHS) has conducted the new bumper test using bumper barrier to estimate the repair cost of impacted vehicle. In this study, for the front body FE model of a medium size passenger car analyzes were carried out to optimize the shape of backbeam center reinforcement bracket. First, overlap effect was examined with changing the overlap magnitude and spot welds were added along the backbeam center line for reducing the section shear deformation. Next, for an overlap model design parameter study was performed for the bracket. Thickness effect was examined and an inner reinforcement was added to the bracket. Also, the lower part of bracket was deleted and additionally the bracket length was extended. The results were discussed in terms of backbeam backward deflection, barrier backstop intrusion and weight. Compared with the current design, the final model showed 44.1% bracket weight reduction with 30.0% decrease of backbeam deflection.

알루미늄 범퍼 빔 곡률압출공정에 관한 연구 (A Study on The Curvature Extrusion for Al Bumper Beam)

  • Recently, aluminum is widely used to reduce the vehicle weight. Aluminum curved extruded products are used for the design of automotive frame parts. This study focuses on the determination of process condition fur automotive bumper beam with various curvatures. In this study, a curvature prediction model has been proposed considering the geometric relationship and the characteristic of the curvature extrusion equipment. Using the proposed model and FE analysis, the appropriated process condition was determined to produce the bumper beam. Finally, curvature extrusion experiment was carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed curvature prediction model and the process condition.

리브 형상 변경에 의한 알루미늄 범퍼 백빔의 경량화 설계 (Light Weighted Design of Aluminum Bumper Backbeam by Rib Shape Change)

  • Optimized section shape of aluminum bumper backbeam for enhancing the front high speed crashworthiness was investigated. Front body analysis model of a convertible vehicle was built up and parameter studies were carried out with changing the inner rib shape and the section thickness distribution. First an inner rib shape displaying most efficient structural performance was selected. Next, for the selected section the effect of section thickness combination was examined. Also, a light weighed backbeam section displaying crash performance over the current design was suggested. Finally RCAR front low speed impact analyses were carried out for the optimized models.

RCAR 전방 저속 충돌시험 대응 범퍼 스테이 설계 (Bumper Stay Design for RCAR Front Low Speed Impact Test)

  • RCAR low speed impact test estimates repair cost of the impacted vehicle. In this study, for a mid-size vehicle front body model, structural performance for RCAR low speed impact were analyzed with changing the bumper stay shape and size. First, for improving the impact load transfer mechanism to side member the stay rear section shape at connecting area with side member was modified and the stay outer was redesigned to be normal to the barrier. Next, the investigation on stay thickness effect was carried out and the performances of several models with different forming shape were compared. The final design showed 13mm decrease in the maximum barrier intrusion distance and greatly reduced side member deformation. Additional analyses explained the validity of the final design.

  • Injection molding process is one of the processes that can mold plastic product as low cost. However, manufacturing process of automobile bumper mold has lots of trial and error. Especially, desiging of a huge mold such as bumper mold is needed to establish a design standard for runner system. In this study, CAE was conducted to observe the variation of melt-flow by changing runner and gate type in automobile bumper mold as preceding study for a standard design of runner system.
