An Analytical Study on Automatic Classification of Domestic Journal articles Based on Machine Learning (기계학습에 기초한 국내 학술지 논문의 자동분류에 관한 연구)

  • This study examined the factors affecting the performance of automatic classification based on machine learning for domestic journal articles in the field of LIS. In particular, In view of the classification performance that assigning automatically the class labels to the articles in "Journal of the Korean Society for Information Management", I investigated the characteristics of the key factors(weighting schemes, training set size, classification algorithms, label assigning methods) through the diversified experiments. Consequently, It is effective to apply each element appropriately according to the classification environment and the characteristics of the document set, and a fairly good performance can be obtained by using a simpler model. In addition, the classification of domestic journals can be considered as a multi-label classification that assigns more than one category to a specific article. Therefore, I proposed an optimal classification model using simple and fast classification algorithm and small learning set considering this environment.

Estimating Average Causal Effect in Latent Class Analysis (잠재범주분석을 이용한 원인적 영향력 추론에 관한 연구)

  • Unlike randomized trial, statistical strategies for inferring the unbiased causal relationship are required in the observational studies. Recently, new methods for the causal inference in the observational studies have been proposed such as the matching with the propensity score or the inverse probability treatment weighting. They have focused on how to control the confounders and how to evaluate the effect of the treatment on the result variable. However, these conventional methods are valid only when the treatment variable is categorical and both of the treatment and the result variables are directly observable. Research on the causal inference can be challenging in part because it may not be possible to directly observe the treatment and/or the result variable. To address this difficulty, we propose a method for estimating the average causal effect when both of the treatment and the result variables are latent. The latent class analysis has been applied to calculate the propensity score for the latent treatment variable in order to estimate the causal effect on the latent result variable. In this work, we investigate the causal effect of adolescents delinquency on their substance use using data from the 'National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health'.

Improving Performance of Search Engine Using Category based Evaluation (범주 기반 평가를 이용한 검색시스템의 성능 향상)

  • In the current Internet environment where there is high space complexity of information, search engines aim to provide accurate information that users want. But content-based method adopted by most of search engines cannot be used as an effective tool in the current Internet environment. As content-based method gives different weights to each web page using morphological characteristics of vocabulary, the method has its drawbacks of not being effective in distinguishing each web page. To resolve this problem and provide useful information to the users, this paper proposes an evaluation method based on categories. Category-based evaluation method is to extend query to semantic relations and measure the similarity to web pages. In applying weighting to web pages, category-based evaluation method utilizes user response to web page retrieval and categories of query and thus better distinguish web pages. The method proposed in this paper has the advantage of being able to effectively provide the information users want through search engines and the utility of category-based evaluation technique has been confirmed through various experiments.

The Semantic System in Late Korean-English Bilinguals (후기 한국어-영어 이중언어자의 의미체계)

  • The present study was aimed to compare the semantic systems represented by the lexicon between L1 and L2 in late Korean-English bilinguals. The participants performed the word-picture matching task. the task was to decide whether the pictures represent the previously presented words' meaning. The words were the basic level categories. The stimuli were consisted of common object belonged to two different semantic categories (natural and artificial). To control the translation strategies, the SOA were manipulated as 650ms(Exp. 1) and 250ms(Exp. 2). No translation effort was found in the comparison of the two experiments. In both experiment, the RTs were faster in L1 rendition, and it took longer to decide the stimuli in natural categories than with artificial ones in L1. However, this category effect was not observed in L2. The results showed the differences in the organization of semantic representations in the brain through the bilinguals' two languages. While L1 semantic knowledge might be more systematically organized, that of L2 seems to be less well organized, at least by late bilinguals who participated in the present study.

Hemispheric Asymmetry in Processing Semantic Relationship Shown in Normals and Aphasic (정상인과 명칭성 실어증 환자에게서 보이는 의미적 관련성의 좌우반구 편재화)

  • 본 연구에서는 시각적으로 제시되는 단어 자극의 의미 관련성의 차이에 따라 좌우반구의 처리가 어떻게 이루어지는지 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해서 명칭성 실어증 환자와 정상인 대학생 피험자를 대상으로 점화 어휘판단 과제를 수행하였다. 이 연구의 기본 논리는 명칭성 실어증 환자의 왼쪽 뇌가 손상되어 있기 때문에 어떤 정보처리가 왼쪽 뇌에서 일어나는 것이라면 정상인과 명칭성 실어증환자간의 수행에서 어떤 차이가 나타날 것을 기대되는 반면, 만일에 우뇌에서 처리되는 것이라면 정상인의 과제 수행 형태와 명칭성 실어증 환자의 것이 일치하는 형태를 보일 것이라는 것이다. 실험 1에서는 수직적 범주관련성이 어느 반구에서 정보처리 되는지를 조사하였다. 그 결과 정상인은 좌반구에서 유의미한 점화효과가 있고 우반구에서는 점화효과가 없었던 반면에, 명칭성 실어증 환자는 정상인과 정반대의 점화 효과를 보이고 있다. 이러한 결과는 좌반구가 일차적으로 수직적 범주 관련성 정보처리와 관련이 있음을 시사해 준다. 또한 수평적 범주 관련성에 따른 실험 은 정상인과 환자 두 집단 모두 수평적 범주관련성이 우반구에서 처리되는 유사한 패턴을 보여주었다. 실험2에서는 연합적 범주관련성에 따른 두 집단간의 점화 효과를 비교하였다. 정상인 집단과 환자 모두 좌우반구에 점화효과를 보여주고 있지만, 정상인 집단의 경우에는 우반구에서, 환자는 좌반구에서 점화량이 더 컸다. 연합관련 정보처리는 좌우반구 모두에서 일어난다고 하는 기존의 견해와 관련하여 볼 때 연합관련 정보처리는 좌우반구에서 일어난다고 해석할 수 있을 것이다. 명칭 실어증 환자의 정보처리는 정상인과 다르게 이루어지므로 이러한 좌우반구에서의 차이가 난 것으로 볼 수 있다. 이상의 실험1과 2의 결과를 종합해 보면, 시각적으로 제시되는 단어의 범주적 관련성이 주는 어휘정보 처리는 반구에 따라 처리하는 기능이 다르다고 결론 내릴 수 있다. 즉, 좌반구는 수직적 범주 관련성을 담당하고 우반구는 수평적 관련성을 담당하며, 연합적 관련성은 좌우반구 모두에서 정보처리 된다는 것이다.

  • Asymptotic tests are often not suitable for the analysis of sparse ordered contingency tables as asymptotic p-values may either overestimate or underestimate the true pvalues. In this pater, we describe permutation procedures in which we compute exact or resampling p-values for a weighted specific-category agreement in ordered $k{\times}k$ contingency tables. We use the weighted specific-category kappa proposed by $Kv{\dot{a}}lseth$ to measure the extent to which two independent raters agree on the specific categories. We carried out comparison studies between exact p-values, resampling p-values and asymptotic p-values using $3{\times}3$ contingency data (real and artificial data sets) and $4{\times}4$ artificial contingency data.

The Experience of Mixed Lectures of Nursing Students (간호대학생의 혼합 수업 경험)

  • This study is a qualitative study conducted using focus group interviews to examine the mixed offline and online education experience of nursing students in the context of Covid-19. The subjects of this study included 7 students enrolled in the Department of Nursing at J City V University, and focus group interviews were conducted with sufficient explanation and written consent for the study. The contents of the interviews were recorded, and the interview contents were directly transcribed directly after the interview. Research results were derived through content analysis. As a result of the study, 5 domains, 10 categories, and 24 subcategories were derived from the experiences of nursing college students on mixed lectures. The 5 domains included 'mixed lectures,' 'tasks,' 'tests,' 'motivation,' and 'improvement.' The contents of each domain derived from this research result are expected to be used as basic data in the design of the on/offline mixed lectures in the future.

Content and Meaning of case Management Practice Success Experience of Regional Society Civil Case manager (지역사회 민간사례관리자의 실천 성공 경험의 내용과 의미)

  • Background/Objectives: The purpose of the study is to derive a goal usable in the field by exploring the case management success experiences of case managers. Civil case managers state that what is still important in case management practice is qualitative change made in the practice process. Therefore, the study will deal with detailed contents about case management that civil domain case managers consider to be important. Methods/Statistical analysis: For data collection, the study used focus group interview on 20 professional case management social workers and used Grounded theory method by Glaser for data analysis. The analysis of collected data consisted of a process of finding the categories and characteristics of the research problem. Findings: As a result of analysis, 4 categories, 10 subcategories, and 25 elements were derived for success experiences of case management practice. The categories were divided into satisfaction and ability improvement of client, case manager ability improvement, establishment of organization and environment function, and multilateral trust relationship strengthening. Improvements/Applications: The results of this study further clarified the goal of field case management practice and it was suggested as a plan to reflect on future case management related institutions evaluation.

Metaphorical Analysis on Role Playing of Day Care Center Teachers (역할놀이에 대한 어린이집 교사의 은유분석)

  • Summary The purpose of this study was to understand the tendency and the meaning of day care center teachers regarding role playing through metaphorical analysis. The data were collected from 166 day care center teachers who participated in A-city university supplement education using the sentence completion metaphorical method. The collected data were categorized and analyzed through a qualitative research method conducted by 2 early childhood education specialists. The results are as follows. First, the tendency of role playing metaphorical expression was divided into 3 categories, 8 contents and the frequency of 'sociality development' was the highest followed by 'emotional development', 'development'. Second, the meaning of role playing metaphorical expression was recognized as 'social skills', 'role experience', 'imitation', and 'understanding of society' in the 'sociality development' category; as 'imagination', 'purification function', and 'means of expression' in the 'emotional development' category; and as 'essential factor of development' in the 'development' category. Based on the research result, it was suggested that the roles of education and teachers for the value and effective operation of role playing in early childhood education institutes should be reconsidered.

The Transfer Effects of Perceptual Learning by Japanese of Korean Alveolar Stop Consonants (일본인의 한국어 치경폐쇄음 지각 학습의 전이효과)

  • 본 연구는 한국어를 학습한 경험이 없는 일본인의 한국어 치경폐쇄음 세 음소 범주(/ㄷ/, /ㄸ/, /ㅌ/)에 대한 지각 학습이 양순폐쇄음 세 음소(/ㅂ/. /ㅃ/, /ㅍ/) 지각에 미치는 효과를 검토하였다. 김윤현과 김정오 (2005)는 일본인들이 지각 학습과제에서 한국어 치경폐쇄음 세 범주를 구분할 때 기식성. 긴장성과 같은 변별 자질에 선택주의 하게 됨을 시사하는 결과를 얻었다. 치경음에 대한 지각 학습으로 적절한 단서에 선택주의 하게 되었다면, 같은 지각 차원에 따라 세 범주로 구분되는 양순음의 경우에도 치경폐쇄음 학습 후 음성자극들을 옳게 범주화를 할 것이다. 실험 결과, 치경폐쇄음 자극(/다/, /따/, /타/)만으로 이루어진 동일-상이판단 학습 과제에서 치경폐쇄음 파악의 정확율은 29.1%(표준오차=3.02) 증가하였고, 조음 위치의 변화에 따른 음향적 차이에도 불구하고 양순폐쇄음의 정반응율도 15.8%(표준오차=3.27)의 향상을 보였다. 이 전이효과는 치경음 지각 학습 때문에 일본인들이 폐쇄음의 세 음소 범주를 구분하는 적절한 지각 차원에 선택주의하게 되었음을 시사한다.
