  • 최근 자동차 수의 급속한 증가와 대중 교통의 발달로 인하여 ITS(Intelligent Transportation System)과 같은 지리/교통 안내 시스템의 연구 개발이 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 이러한 시스템의 중요한 기능 중의 하나로 대중 교통의 관리와 안내 서비스가 있다. 특히 우리나라의 경우 아직 많은 사람들이 대중 교통을 이용하고 있고, 대중 교통이 대도시 교통체증의 중요 해결책으로 인식되므로 이러한 기능이 더욱 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 인터넷을 통하여 접근할 수 있는 버스 노선 안내 서비스 시스템을 개발한 경험을 소개한다. 버스 노선 안내 서비스 시스템은 사용자가 접근하기 용이해야 하며 실용적인 서비스 결과를 제공할 수 있어야 한다. 또한 추후 개발되는 여러 ITS 구성 요소들과 유기적으로 결합할 수 있는 상호 운용성이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 분산 객체 미들웨어의 표준인 CORBA를 이용하여 인터넷을 통한 접근이 용이하고 상호 운용성이 뛰어난 시스템 구조를 제안하였다. 이 시스템의 구조와 스키마는 추후 다른 대중 교통 안내 서비스 시스템과의 연계 혹은 다른 ITS 구성 요소와의 연계에 쉽게 대응할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • 열차 통신의 목적은 분산 제어 시스템에서 빠르고 정확한 데이터 교환에 있다. 이를 위하여 개발되고 1999년 IEC와 IEEE에 의해 국제 규격으로 승인된 TCN(Train Communication Network)은 차량간 통신 버스인 WTB(Wired Train Bus)와 차량내 통신 버스인 MVB(Multifunction Vehicle Bus)의 이중 계층 구조로 구성되며 TCN의 데이터 서비스는 프로세스 데이터, 메시지 데이터, 관리용 데이터의 세가지 데이터 서비스로 구분된다. MVB는 전송 가능한 데이터 서비스에 따라 디바이스의 클래스가 나눠지게 된다. 본 논문에서는 MVB에서 버스 마스터의 프레임에 따라 데이터를 보낼 수 있는 슬레이브 컨트롤러의 구성과 시뮬레이션을 통해 구현된 장치의 기능이 국제 표준의 제안사항들을 따르고 있는 지 증명한다.

  • The general bus system architecture consists of masters, slaves, arbiter, decoder and so on in shared bus. As several masters can't use a bus concurrently, arbiter plays an role in bus arbitration. In compliance with the selection of arbitration method, The efficiency of bus usage can be determined. Fixed Priority, Round-Robin, TDMA, Lottery arbitration are studied in conventional arbitration method. In this paper, we draw the performance analysis of Fixed Priority, Round Robin, TDMA and Lottery bus arbitration policies due to the data traffic concentration and propose the methods of performance improvement.

  • Metaverse provides a simulated environment that can produce various values while conducting economic, social, and cultural activities in a digital society where the virtual and real worlds are connected. In this paper, the direction of technological progress is predicted by analyzing the characteristics of Metaverse services and their businesses. Technologies and latest researches for the realization of the Metaverse service platform are also explored. In addition, Metaverse Ethics to construct a sustainable Metaverse and Metaverse UX to increase users' service participation are also discussed. Moreover, the R&D promotion strategy for Metaverse services are presented.

Design of Crossbar Switch On-chip Bus for Performance Improvement of SoC (SoC의 성능 향상을 위한 크로스바 스위치 온칩 버스 설계)

  • Most of the existing SoCs have shared bus architecture which always has a bottleneck state. The more IPs are in an SOC, the less performance it is of the SOC, Therefore, its performance is effected by the entire communication rather than CPU speed. In this paper, we propose cross-bar switch bus architecture for the reduction of the bottleneck state and the improvement of the performance. The cross-bar switch bus supports up to 8 masters and 16 slaves and parallel communication with architecture of multiple channel bus. Each slave has an arbiter which stores priority information about masters. So, it prevents only one master occupying one slave and supports efficient communication. We compared WISHBONE on-chip shared bus architecture with crossbar switch bus architecture of the SOC platform, which consists of an OpenRISC processor, a VGA/LCD controller, an AC97 controller, a debug interface, a memory interface, and the performance improved by 26.58% than the previous shared bus.

Fixed Priority, Round-Robin, TDMA, Lottery arbitration are studied in conventional arbitration method. Conventional arbitration method is considered bus priority primarily, actual bus utilization didn't considered. In this paper, we propose arbitration method using bus utilization operating block of each master, we verify the performance compared with the other arbitration methods through throughput performance. From the result of performance verification, we confirm that proposed arbitration method, matched bus utilization set by the user 40%, 20%, 20%, 20%.

  • The conventional bus system architecture consists of masters, slaves, arbiter, decoder and so on in shared bus. As several masters can't use a bus concurrently, arbiter plays an role in arbitrating the bus. The efficiency of bus usage can be determined by the selection of arbitration method. Fixed Priority, Round-Robin, TDMA and Lottery arbitration policies are studied in the conventional arbitration method where the bus priority is primarily considered. In this paper, we propose the arbitration method that calculates the bus utilization of each master. Furthermore, we verify the performance compared with the other arbitration methods through TLM(Transaction Level Model). From the results of performance verification, the arbitration methods of Fixed Priority and Round-Robin can not set the bus utilization and those of TDMA and Lottery happen the error of 50% and 70% respectively compared with bus utilization set by user in more than 100,000 cycles. On the other hand, the bandwidth-award bus arbitration method remains the error of less than 1% since approximately 1000 cycles, compared with bus utilization set by user.
