Performance Improvement for Back-stepping Controller of a Mobile Robot Based on Fuzzy Systems (퍼지추론을 이용한 이동로봇의 백스테핑 제어기 성능개선)

  • This paper describes a tracking control for the mobile robot based on fuzzy systems. The conventional back-stepping controller includes the dynamics and kinematics of the mobile robot, which is affected by the derived velocity reference by a kinematic controller. To improve the performance of conventional back-stepping controller, this paper uses the fuzzy systems known as the nonlinear controller. In this paper, the new velocity reference for the back-stepping controller is derived through the fuzzy inference. Fuzzy rules are selected for gains of the kinematic controller. The produced velocity reference has properly considered the varying reference trajectories. And simulation results show that the proposed controller is more robust than the conventional back-stepping controller.

  • 본 논문에서는 리더-추종자 대형제어에서 추종자 로봇의 장애물 회피에 관해 다룬다. 추종자 로봇은 리더 로봇과의 대형유지 뿐만 아니라 장애물이 감지되면 회피한다. 추종자 로봇의 제어기는 리아프 노프 안정성이 고려된 백스테핑 방법을 이용해서 동역학 요소도 고려된 제어기로 설계한다. 장애물 회피 시에는 리더 로봇과 추종자 로봇의 위치 그리고 장애물의 인지에 따른 거리와 방향각을 이용하여 장애물을 회피한다. 시뮬레이션 실험을 통해 제안된 제어기의 안정된 성능을 확인할 수 있다.

  • In this study, we propose the terrain following algorithm using model predictive control and nonlinear disturbance observer-based backstepping sliding mode controller for an aircraft system. Terrain following is important for military missions because it helps the aircraft avoid detection by the enemy radar. The model predictive control is used to replace the generating trajectory and guidance with the flight path angle constraint. In addition, the aircraft is affected to the parameter uncertainty and unknown disturbance such as wind near the mountainous terrain. Therefore, we suggest the nonlinear disturbance-based backstepping sliding mode control method for the aircraft that has highly nonlinearity to enhance flight path angle tracking performance. Through the numerical simulation, the proposed method showed the better tracking performance than the traditional backstepping method. Furthermore, the proposed method presented the terrain following maneuver maintaining the desired altitude.

  • 2-Axis Pan and Tilt Motion Platform, a complex multivariate non-linear system, may incur any disturbance, thus requiring system controller with robustness against various disturbances. In this study, we designed an adaptive backstepping compensated controller by estimating the disturbance and error using the Radial Basis Function Neural Network (RBF NN). In this process, Uniformly Ultimately Bounded (UUB) was demonstrated via Lyapunov and stability was confirmed. By generating progressive disturbance to the irregular frequency and amplitude changes, it was verified for various environmental disturbances. In addition, by setting the RBF NN input vector to the minimum, the estimated disturbance compensation process was analyzed. Only two input vectors facilitated compensatory function of RBF NN via estimating the modeling and control error values as well as irregular disturbance; the application of the process resulted in improved backstepping controller performance that was confirmed through simulation.

  • 본 논문에서는 이동 로봇의 군집 제어를 위해 선도-추종 로봇 방법에 기반한 적응 군집 제어 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 제어 방법 에서는 선도 로봇의 선형 속도와 각 속도를 추정하기 위해 투영 법칙에 기반한 적응 기법을 이용하며, 또한 백스테핑 제어 기법을 이용하여 이동 로봇의 제어 입력인 토크를 구한다. 마지막으로, 컴퓨터 모의실험을 통해 본 논문에서 제안한 제어기의 성능을 검증하고자 한다.

  • 본 연구에서는 각 운동량 보존법칙으로부터 도출되어지는 공중부상체(flying objects)의 제어기법에 대해 논의하고자 한다. 먼저, 공중부상체에 대하여 각 운동량 보존법칙을 적용하여 적분불가능한 구속조건으로부터 비 홀로노믹시스템을 도출하고 상태변환과 입력변환을 행하여 제어가 용이한 체인드 폼(Chained form)을 유도한다. 체인드 폼에 대해서는 백스테핑제어기법을 적용하여 제어기를 설계하고 제어기법의 유용성을 검증하기 위하여 3개의 회전관절로 구성된 공중부상체를 대상으로 하여 초기자세로부터 목적자세까지의 제어를 행하였다.

  • In this paper, an robust adaptive backstepping controller is proposed for the speed control of separately excited DC motor with uncertainties and disturbances. Armature and field resistance, damping coefficient and load torque are considered as uncertainties and noise generated at applying load torque to motor is also considered. It shows that the backstepping algorithm can be used to solve the problems of nonlinear system very well and robust controller can be designed without the variation of adaptive law. Simulation and experiment results are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed controller.

To make wind power generation truly cost effective and reliable, advanced and robust control algorithms are derived to on-line adjust the excitation winding voltage of the generator based on both mechanical and electrical dynamics. This method is shown to be able to achieve smooth and asymptotic rotor speed tracking, as justified by analysis and computer simulation.
