The Guidelines for Station Layouts and Their Assessments in Railroad Transfer Centers (철도 환승센터의 시설배치기준 및 평가방안)

  • The mass transit networks in Korea, such as buses, metro and subway, are co-related and the number of transfer points, in which a lot of pedestrian movement is generated, are rising. The functions of the transfer centers, in which several travel modes cross at a point, have to include convenience and comfort for pedestrians using the transfer centers, and such functions can make transit a more attractive travel option and thus eventually contribute to increases in ridership. However, the guidelines for station layouts and their assessments in transfer stations are not suggested so far. So the pedestrian pattern data (pedestrian walking distances and times, pedestrian approaching distances and times, pedestrian walking paths in the inside of stations) was collected and analyzed. Based on the results of the analysis, the ways to measure the quality of comfort for those who using transfer facilities were suggested using the times that pedestrians consume to transfer from a travel mode to another. The walking time of pedestrians at the inside of stations was also measured by pre-selected pedestrian pathways as the guidelines for station layout assessment in transfer facilities.

An Analysis of Reference Station Distribution Impact on KASS UDRE Performance (기준국 배치에 따른 한국 위성기반 보강 시스템 UDRE 성능 영향 분석)

  • Since the distribution of SBAS reference stations is one of the most important factors that affect the system performance, the effects of the distribution should be analyzed carefully from the beginning of the program to develop the system conforming to given performance requirements. The reference stations of KASS, the Korean SBAS, are planned to be installed only inside South Korea, which limits the number and area of those. It differentiates KASS from others that have much larger sites. In this paper, the author analyzes the performance impact on UDRE and ${\delta}UDRE$ for GPS and GEO due to the limitations by a series of simulations, which showed that the UDRE performance depends on the diversity of the reference station distribution and the impact on the GEO UDRE is significant. The paper concludes by providing KASS design and development considerations to minimize the possible performance risks due to the limitations of KASS reference station distribution.

Sequence Alignment Algorithm using Quality Information (품질 정보를 이용한 서열 배치 알고리즘)

  • In this Paper we consider the problem of sequence alignment with quality scores. DNA sequences produced by a base-calling program (as part of sequencing) have quality scores which represent the confidence level for individual bases. However, previous sequence alignment algorithms do not consider such quality scores. To solve sequence alignment with quality scores, we propose a measure of an alignment of two sequences with orality scores. We show that an optimal alignment in this measure can be found by dynamic programming.

  • 항만 설계에 영향을 미치는 네가지 중요요인인 선박요인, 인간요인, 환경요인 및 항로표지요인들이 실제 항만 및 수로의 설계에 미치는 구체적인 영향들을 각 요인별로 분석하였다. 아울러 항만 및 수로 설계요소인 수심, 항로의 폭, 항로의 배치, 선회수역의 크기 및 부두의 배치 문제에 대한 분석을 기하였다. 그리고, 항만 및 수로의 설계 문제에 관한 최근의 연구결과들과 각국의 설계 Guideline들을 수집하여 특히, 항로의 폭, 항로의 배치 그리고 선회수역의 크기에 대해 그 내용을 비교하고 분석하였다. 이들 연구 결과들과 항만 설계기준들은 연구 방법과 설계 기준을 마련한 기구들에 따라 그 내용의 차이가 있음이 확인되었다. 따라서 이들 기준들은 항만 설계를 위한 1차 계획 수립시에만 활용되고 세부적인 설계는 1차 설계 후 항만 설계 시뮬레이션 기법을 통한 검정을 거쳐야만 안전한 항만의 설계 및 개발이 이루어질 수 있다는 것이 확인되었다.

Analysis on Deployment of Fire Service Force in Korea (한국 소방력배치의 실태 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze an adequate deployment of fire service force to be prepared to respond appropriately and effectively in Korea by settlement pattern. In order to examine the deployment of fire service force by the present standard, we analyzed the logical basis and the deployment of fire service force by city and province. We also classified clusters for settlement pattern through the statistical methods and raised several points for the existing deployment model of fire service force by the classified settlement pattern. As a result, it was confirmed that the deployment of fire service force by the settlement pattern was irrelevant to fire service need.

  • 본 연구에서는 canopy가 없는 stadium에서의 야간조명 실태를 조사하고 국내에 설치된 각 stadium의 조도를 측정하여 그 결과를 KS, FIFA기준 및 방송국 기준을 비교하고 stadium의 전체적인 조도분포를 분석하였다. 4pole 배치의 stadium에 있어서 조도는 KS 기준에는 대체로 만족하나 FIFA 및 방송국 기준에는 미흡함을 알 수 있었다. 특히 4pole 배치 방식에 있어서 수평면 및 수직면 조도의 균일도는 국제기준에 많이 미흡하여 원활한 경기진행 및 TV 중계에 많은 어려움이 있었다. 이러한 결과로부터 stadium의 조명시설을 고려한 설계과정의 필요함을 알 수 있었고, 또한 KS기준이 국제기준과 비교하여 많은 차이가 있어 stadium의 특성을 고려한 제도적인 보완을 통하여 철저한 설계가 이루어져야 하겠다.

  • For this study, the full-scale model of Chumsungdae was selected as an object, and various photographs were obtained with metric camera for forming circular strips and blocks. The accuracies were analyzed according to the change of object distance and different configuration of control points by bundle adjustment, and the characteristics of results obtained through combined strips were drawn. This thesis suggests optimal analysis technique of cylindrical structures requiring all-side analysis such as cultural properties. As a result, it is possible to use control points positioned on only any one-side for all-side analysis, and control configuration is more important rather than the number of control points for increasing accuracy. In addition, it is desirable to locate control points in X, Y and Z plane uniformly, and it was shown as object distance was shorten and the number of combined strips increases, the accuracy of results was improved considerably.

  • 항로표지는 선박이 항로에서 안전하게 항해하는데 중요한 역할을 하며, 이 때문에 국가에서는 항로표지 배치의 적합성 여부에 대한 검토를 주기적으로 실시하고 있다. 이 연구에서는 기계학습을 이용한 새로운 항로표지 배치 적합성 검증을 위한 알고리즘 및 시스템을 구현하고 실제 항로에 적용 가능한 시스템을 개발하였다.

  • The aim of this study is to establish an evaluation function that can be used in comparison of alternative layouts by quantification of particularities of arrangements. The machinery arrangement is a design phase that decides the location of various equipment in a compartment to make the most of the function of every components and to meet the limit of ship space at the same time. In case of the ship, Only one of the several alternative layouts is selected. This process depends on the experience, knowledge, and judgement of an expert and, as a result of it, it's hard to get an objective evaluation. Therefore, according to quantification by using the fuzzy theory, we suggest a standard that can objectively evaluate alternative layouts.
