Efficient Fault Injection Attack to the Miller Algorithm in the Pairing Computation using Affine Coordinate System (아핀좌표를 사용하는 페어링 연산의 Miller 알고리듬에 대한 효과적인 오류주입공격)

  • The Miller algorithm is employed in the typical pairing computation such as Weil, Tate and Ate for implementing ID based cryptosystem. By analyzing the Mrabet's attack that is one of fault attacks against the Miller algorithm, this paper presents au efficient fault attack in Affine coordinate system, it is the most basic coordinates for construction of elliptic curve. The proposed attack is the effective model of a count check fault attack, it is verified to work well by practical fault injection experiments and can omit the probabilistic analysis that is required in the previous counter fault model.

Analysis on the Uniformity of Temperature and Humidity According to Environment Control in Tomato Greenhouses (토마토 재배 온실의 환경조절에 따른 온습도 균일도 분석)

  • A survey on the actual state of heating, cooling, ventilation, and air-flow and experimental measurement of temperature and humidity distribution in tomato greenhouse were performed to provide fundamental data required in the development of air-flow control technology. In single-span plastic houses, which account for most of 136 tomato greenhouses surveyed, roof windows, ventilation and air-flow fans were installed in a low rate, and installation specs of those facilities showed a very large deviation. There were no farms installed greenhouse cooling facilities. In the hot air heating system, which account for most of heating type, installation specs of hot air duct showed also a large deviation. The exhaust air temperature and wind speed in hot air duct also were measured to have a big difference depending on the distance from the heater. We are using the maximum difference as indicator to determine whether temperature distribution is uniform. However if the temperature slope is not identical in greenhouse, it can't represent the uniformity. We analyzed relation between the maximum difference and the uniformity of temperature and humidity distribution. The uniformity was calculated using the mean and standard deviation of data from 12 measuring points. They showed high correlation but were represented differently by linear in the daytime and quadratic in the nighttime. It could see that the uniformity of temperature and humidity distribution was much different according to greenhouse type and heating method. The installation guidelines for ventilation and air-flow fan, the spread of greenhouse cooling technology for year-round stable production, and improvement of air duct and heating system, etc. are needed.

Packaging Techniques to Prevent Winter Kimchi from Inflation (겨울 김치에 대한 팽창 방지 포장 기법)

  • The effect of various packaging methods on Kimchi quality was investigated in order to develop the packaging techniques for preventing commercial Kimchi Products from ination and explosion due to fermentative gas evolved during storage and distribution. Kimchi was packaged in different methods; atmospheric (AP), check-valved (CV), double (DP) and vacuum (VP) packaging. The quality of Kimchi during storage at $10^{\circ}C$ was evaluated ill terms of gas composition, free volume, pH, titratable acidity, color index, lactic acid bacteria and sensory properties. $O_2$ concentration decreased to about 1% at $6{\sim}8$ days of optimal ripening time in all packages except DP, in which it remained around 20%. $CO_2$ concentration reached $70{\sim}90%$ after $6{\sim}8$ days in AP, CV and DP, while it stayed around 10% in DP. The free volume in AP had typical sigmoidal curve similar to $CO_2$ concentration changes. It remained almost constant in CV and DP, but started to increase at the late stage of storage In VP. There was no significant influence of packaging methods on the other quality attributes such as pH, titratable acidity, color index (L.b/a), lactic acid bacteria count and sensory evaluation score. As results, it could be proposed to employ CV and DP method as the effective packaging techniques for preventing commercial Kimchi products from inflation.

Comparison of Heat Exchanging Performances Depending on Different Heat Exchanging Pipe Arrangement (열회수장치의 열교환 파이프형식별 열교환 성능 비교)

  • 본 연구에서는 온실의 난방에 사용되는 열풍식 난방기 등의 배기 연통에 부착하여 배출되는 가스로부터 열을 회수할 수 있는 장치를 개발함에 있어서 연통과 열회수 장치간의 열 교환 성능을 3가지 상이하게 설계된 열 교환 장치(Fig. 1 참조)에 대하여 실험적으로 비교 분석하였다. Fig. 1-(a)는 열 교회수기 개발을 위해 기존에 사용한 장치로서 회수용 공기의 흐름방향이 배기 연통과 직각을 이룬 형식이며, Fig. 1-(b) 및 (c)는 열 회수 성능 개선을 위해 새로 설계된 형식으로서 각각 열 교환 파이프의 배치형식이 상이하나 회수용 공기의 흐름방향이 180도로 굴곡되는 U-자형 흐름이 이루어지도록 하였다. 실험에 사용된 공기 순환 펜의 용량은 AB-형의 경우에는 최대 25㎥/min이고, C-형 및 D-형의 경우는 공히 최대 42㎥/min으로서 송풍전압 조절장치를 이용하여 풍량을 연속적으로 조절할 수 있도록 하였다. U-자형 흐름형식인 C-형 및 D-형의 경우 흐름 방향의 굴곡으로 인한 마찰저항이 있을 것으로 예상은 했으나 당초 예상했던 것에 비해 마찰 저항이 지나치게 큰 것으로 밝혀졌다. 비록 설계된 열교환 튜브의 배열형식별 열 교환기의 외부 모양이 달라 회수기의 표면을 통한 대류 열 교환이 다소 차이를 보일 것으로 예상되지만 본 연구에서는 열 회수장치에 내장된 열 교환 튜브부분만을 통한 열 회수율을 중심으로 형식간의 성능을 비교하였다. 실험을 통하여 측정된 자료중 대표적인 예는 Fig-2와 같으며, 측정자료를 기준으로 분석된 열회수 성능에 대한 설계형식별 비교 결과는 Table-1과 같으며, 분석된 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다: 1. AB-형 열회수시스템의 경우, 초기 투자비용과 현재의 농용 전력요금 하에서 에너지 절감규모를 비교하면, 대체로 1년을 전후하여 투자에 대한 보상이 충분히 가능할 것으로 판단된다. 2. C-형 및 D-형 열회수시스템의 경우, 열 회수용 공기의 흐름방향이 동일 공간내에서 180도 굴절됨으로서 저항이 크게 발생되어 송풍 펜의 전압 증가에 따른 유속증가가 미미하였으며, 굴절형의 열교환장치는 비록 열교환면적은 직선형과 유사하더라도 송풍 펜의 공기저항이 커져서 결국 열 회수성능이 기대했던 것만큼 크게 개선되지는 못했다. 3. 송풍펜의 용량은 AB-형에 사용된 용량인 25㎥/min 전후가 적절할 것으로 판단되며, 적정 송풍 펜용량 하에서 열 회수성능은 굴절형이 직선형보다 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 다만, 곡선형은 물론 직선형에서도 열교환 튜브의 배치밀도, 튜브 길이 및 두께 등의 변화에 따른 최적화 연구가 수반되어야 할 것으로 판단된다.

A Study on the Ventilation Effects of the Shaft Development at a Local Limestone Mine (국내 석회석 광산 수갱 굴착에 의한 통기효과 분석 연구)

  • This study was carried out at a local limestone mine to analyze the ventilation efficiency of the shaft equipped with a main fan. The results show that its ventilation efficiency is clearly verified for the natural as well as the mechanical ventilation. The airflow rate of $11.7m^3/s$ was induced by the natural ventilation force and the maximum quantity is almost same as the airflow rate estimated by monitoring the average temperatures in the upcast and downcast air columns. Meanwhile, the airflow rate exhausted by the main fan through the shaft was $20.3{\sim}24.8m^3/s$; variation of the quantity was caused by the upward shift of the mine ventilation characteristic curve due to the frequent movement of the equipment. This indicates efforts are required to reduce the ventilation resistance and raise the quantity supplied by the main fan. The turbulent diffusion coefficients along the 1912 m long airway from the portal to the shaft bottom was estimated to be $15m^2/s$ and $18m^2/s$. Since these higher coefficients imply that contaminants will be dispersed at a faster velocity than the airflow, prompt exhaust method should be planned for the effective air quality control. The ventilation shaft and main fan are definitely what local limestone mines inevitably need for better working environment and sustainable development.

  • Atmospheric pollutants such as Nitrogen Oxides(NOx), Carbon Monoxide(CO), Carbon Dioxide($CO_2$), Particulate Matter(PM) and Hydrocarbons(HC) come from vehicle exhaust gases. Emission curves based on average travel speeds have been employed for estimating on-road emissions as well as evaluating environmental impacts of transportation plans and policies in Korea. Recently, there is a growing interest in estimation methods of vehicle emissions considering relationship between vehicle dynamic driving characteristics and emissions, and incorporating such emission estimators into traffic simulation models. MOVES Lite, a simplified version of MOVES, is one of the estimation methods. In this study, the authors performed a study to develop an adaptable version of MOVES Lite for Korea, called MOVES Lite-K. Vehicle types, driving characteristics, emission rates, and emission standards of Korea were reflected in MOVES Lite-K. The characteristics of emission calculation of MOVES Lite-K and NIER emission curves were compared and the adaptability of MOVES Lite-K were examined.

CO2 decomposition characteristics of Ba-ferrite powder (Ba-페라이트 분말을 이용한 이산화탄소 분해 특성)

  • The objective of this study is development of carbon recycle technology which convert carbon dioxide captured from flue gas to carbon monoxide or carbon and reuse in industrial fields. Since carbon dioxide is very stable and difficult to decompose, metal oxide was used as activation agent for the decomposition of carbon dioxide at low temperature. Metal oxides which convert $CO_2$ to CO or carbon were prepared using Ba-ferrite by solid and hydrothermal synthesis. TPR/TPO and TGA were used in this study. The results of TPR by H2 and TPO by $CO_2$ showed that Ba-ferrite powders synthesized by hydrothermal method were better than those by solid method. TGA showed contrary results that reduction of Ba-ferrite powders synthesized using solid method by $H_2$ was 21.96 wt%, oxidation by $CO_2$ was 21.24 wt% and 96.72 wt% of $CO_2$ decomposition efficiency showing excellent oxidation-reduction characteristics at $500^{\circ}C$.

CO2 Decomposition Characteristics of Zn-ferrite Powder Prepared by Hydrothermal and Solid State Reaction (수열합성법과 고상법을 이용해 제조된 Zn-ferrite 분말의 이산화탄소 분해 특성)

  • The objective of this study is the development of carbon recycle technology which converts $CO_2$ captured from flue gas to CO or carbon and reuse in industrial fields. Since $CO_2$ is very stable and difficult to decompose, metal oxide was used as an activation agent for the decomposition of $CO_2$ at low temperature. Metal oxides which convert $CO_2$ to CO or carbon at $500^{\circ}C$ were prepared using Zn-ferrite by the solid state reaction and hydrothermal synthesis. The behaviors of $CO_2$ decomposition were studied using temperature programmed reduction/oxidation (TPR/TPO) and thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA). Zn-ferrite containing 5 wt% ZnO showed the largest reduction and oxidation. Reduction by $H_2$ was 26.53 wt%, oxidation by $CO_2$ was 25.73 wt% and 96.98% of adsorbed $CO_2$ was decomposed to $CO_2$ and carbon with excellent oxidation-reduction behaviors.

  • Most conventional lithography systems have been oriented to fabricate electronic devices. Therefore, it is not so easy to fabricate large aspect ratios of waveguide patterns with those systems. When considering costs and efficiencies, a laser lithography system provides number of benefit in realizing waveguide patterns. However, because the conventional laser lithography system could make only positive tone masks, it is inconvenient in determining the direction of the waveguide. A simple and reliable technique to produce negative tone masks was developed by using the laser beam writing. This technique was not sensitive to environmental situations such as dust, vibration, intensity variation. Making use of the technique a variety of device patterns such as Y-branch, directional coupler, and highly smooth S-shape bend could be successfully fabricated with a good contrast.

  • 최근 자동차 산업에서는 차체의 무게를 감소시켜 연비향상과 배기가스의 양을 줄이려는 목적으로 고강도 강재의 차체 적용이 증가하고 있다. 또한 다른 여러 산업에서도 두께 감소를 통한 경량화를 위해 고강도 강재가 사용되고 있다. 고강도 강재를 자동차 차체에 적용하면서 용접성에 대한 새로운 문제가 제기 되고 있으며 그 중 자동차 생산라인에서 차체의 조립공정의 대부분을 차지하는 저항 점 용접에 대한 연구가 중요한 이슈가 되고 있다. 이러한 고강도 강재의 저항 점 용접의 문제점으로는 잦은 날림발생을 들 수 있다. 이는 강도의 증가에 따른 비저항 증가와 필요 가압력의 증가로 인해 입열에 의한 가압부의 소성변형이 쉽게 발생하기 때문이다. 이를 방지하기 위해 현재 다단가압, 다단전류제어 등의 기법들이 시도되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 저항 점 용접의 펄스전류 파형설계를 통해 고강도강 용접의 날림발생을 저감하고자 하였다. 실험소재로는 Al-Si 도금의 1.5GPa 급 강재를 사용하였고 실험조건으로는 기존 로브곡선에서 날림이 발생하는 용접조건을 사용하였다. On/Off 방식의 펄스전류를 이용하여 On/Off 시간에 따른 용접성을 평가하여 이를 기존 용접성과 비교하였다. 또한 펄스전류 파형에 따른 입열과 냉각의 변화와 날림발생에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다.
