Performance Analysis on the Ejector System in Flue-gas Discharge Channel of Marine Incinerator (소각기의 배기가스 유로에 이젝터를 적용한 시스템의 성능 분석)

  • The International Maritime Organization(IMO) could try to adopt more severe amendment to prevent any air pollution from various waste materials by marine incinerator. This study is to analyse the performance improvement through Ansys CFD about new invented system which has three flue-gas discharge channels and sub-ejector installed in the dischage channel in order to evacuate flue-gas well from the combustion chamber. The results showed that the discharge temperature of flue-gas was below the regulated value of IMO by the multi-channels, and the sub-ejector system installed in the discharge channel was highly effective one to improve the flue-gas discharge ability.

  • In this paper the new revision of Korean Airworthiness Standards (KAS) - Emissions was proposed for enforced environmental standards. The Aircraft Engine Fuel Venting and Exhaust Emissions Requirements have been only defined for smoke, HC, CO and NOx as management items in previous KAS. However, this standard has not covered the current situation that International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) enforced environmental regulations, such as emissions trading system, limitation of CO2 emissions and restriction of exhaust gas. In order to overcome these outdated situations, we presented the new requirements for aircraft exhaust gas emissions standard of Korea based on the latest standards of United States, Europe and other countries.

  • 엔진 배기가스의 동력과 유량이 배기행정의 직전 단계에서 관찰되었다. 배기가스 양을 적당히 조정함으로써 터보 과급의 입구 압력을 증가시킬 수 있었으며 엔진의 흡기, 소기 및 배기과정에서 가스질량과 엔진의 동력, 그리고 터보과급 효과도 감소하였다. 터보 과급장치를 기하학적으로 적절화시킴으로써 싸이클의 동기화 및 동력의 효율이 고려된 열교환 과정의 효율 기준도 제기되었으며 디젤엔진의 연소싸이클을 재수정하는 과정과 터빈의 동역학적 특성도 제시되었다.

해상 빅데이터 기반의 공간지도를 활용한 황산화물 배출규제 효과 분석

  • MARPOL (Maritime Pollution Treaty) 부속서 (Annex VI) 경우 대기오염 규제 내용이며, 최근 선박 배기가스 배출규제 강화 목적 개정됨에 따라 관련 규정을 충족하기 위한 적극적인 조치가 요구된다. 예를 들어 Sulfur Dioxide (SOx, 황산화물) 경우 2020년 기준 전 세계 해역 내 운항하는 선박은 황 함유량 0.5% 기준의 배출 요구 기준을 충족해야 한다. 배출규제 해역 지정 시 해당 해역 선박 배기가스 배출량 계산 산정 기준 확립이 필요함에 따라 대기환경에 대한 종합적인 분석이 필수적으로 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 황산화물 배출량 산출 방법론으로써 그리드 셀 내 선박 점유시간을 계산한다. 점유시간이 길수록 선박 통항 및 배기가스 배출이 밀집되어 있음을 의미한다. 밀집도 분석에 더불어 선박의 특성이 반영된 시간당 배출량을 적용하여 배출 공간 인벤토리를 구축하였으며 분석 결과를 GIS (Geographical Information System) 환경에서 공간 지도로 시각화하였다. 기존 국내 황산화물 배출규제 해역의 효과 평가에 더불어 외항 범위까지 규제 확대 시나리오확립 후 비교 평가를 통하여 배출량 감소 효과를 정량적으로 확인하였다.

The Risk Assessment of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning by Gas Boiler Exhaust System and Development of Fundamental Preventive Technology (가스보일러 CO중독 위험성 예측 및 근원적 예방기술 개발)

  • We devised the system to automatically shutdown the boiler and to fundamentally block the harmful gases, including carbon monoxide, into the indoor when the exhaust system swerves: (1) The discharge pressure of the exhaust gas decreases when the exhaust pipe is disconnected. The monitoring system of the exhaust pipe is implemented by measuring the output voltage of APS(Air Pressure Sensor) installed to control the amount of combustion air. (2) The operating software was modified so that when the system recognizes the fault condition of a flue pipe, the boiler control unit displays the fault status on the indoor regulator while shutting down the boiler. In accordance with the ventilation facility standards in the "Rules for Building Equipment Standards" by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, experiments were conducted to ventilate indoor air. When carbon monoxide leaked in worst-case scenario, it was possible to prevent poisoning accidents. However, since 2013, the number of indoor air exchange times has been mitigated from 0.7 to 0.5 times per hour. We observed the concentration exceeding TWA 30 ppm occasionally and thus recommend to reinforce this criterion. In conclusion, if the flue pipe fault detection and the indoor air ventilation system are introduced, carbon monoxide poisoning accidents are expected to decrease significantly. Also when the manufacturing and inspection steps, the correct installation and repair are supplemented with the user's attention in missing flue, it will be served to prevent human casualties from carbon monoxide poisoning.

  • In this research, the safety trends and technologies of HCNG, a mixture of hydrogen and natural gas, are analyzed. This is an attracting alternative fuels to meet the strengthened automotive exhaust gas emission standards. HCNG is very important opportunities and challenges in that it is available the existing CNG infrastructures, meets the strengthened emission standards, and the technical, social bridge of the coming era of hydrogen. It is essential for the commercialization of HCNG that hydrogen - compressed natural gas blended fuel for use in preparation of various safety considerations included accidents scenario, safety distance, hydrogen attack, ignition sources and fire detectors are examined. Risk assessments also are suggested as one of permission procedure for HCNG filling station.

  • 디젤자동차는 가솔린 자동차에 비하여 연료소비효율(fuel economy)이 20-30% 정도 높고 고출력을 낼수 있어 이의 수요가 증가하고 있다. 본 고에서는 디젤자동차에서 배출되는 수많은 화학물질중에서 문제가 되고 있는 입자상물질, NOx 및 SO$_{2}$를 제거하는 기술에 대하여 살펴본다. 이러한 오염물질의 저감을 위하여는 배기가스 재순환, 분사시기의 조절, 인터쿨링 같은 연소기술의 개선과 유황분이 적고, 방향족화합물의 함량이 적은 청정연료를 사용하여 어느 수준까지는 목적을 달성할 수 있다. 1. 디젤자동차 배출허용기준. 2. 배기가스 정화기술. 2.1 트랩기술(trap technology). 2.2 재생기술(regeneration technology). 2.3 제어 및 센서기술(control and sensor technology)

A Study on the Safety Code Development of Gas Engine Micro Combined Heat and Power System (소형 가스엔진 열병합 발전시스템 안전기준 개발)

  • Recently, as a solution to the sharp drop in "power reserve ratio", it is being converted to a microgrid that enables bi-directional transmission and distribution. A microgrid is composed of a small-scale distributed power supply and a load. As a representative technology of distributed power generation, there is a Micro Combined Heat and Power system applied to homes and buildings. In this study, a safety standard was developed by dividing the power generation system, cooling system, lubrication system, and exhaust system to derive safety standards for a small gas engine power generation system with a gas consumption less than 232.6kW (200,000 kcal/h). In the case of the power generation system, a filter was installed and the system was stopped by detecting gas leakage and abnormalities in engine speed or output and the cooling system is stipulated to stop the system in case of insufficient cooling water or overheating. The lubrication system monitors the pressure and temperature of the lubricating oil and stops the system when an abnormality occurs, and the exhaust gas emission concentration regulation value was specified in accordance with domestic and foreign standards. Through the results of this study, it is judged that the safety of the gas engine power generation system can be improved and it can contribute to the commercialization of products.

最近의 自動車排出가스의 對策動向

  • 우리나라에서도 급속한 산업발전에 따라 공해문제가 날로 심각하게 대두되고 있으며, 특히 대 도심지의 자동차 배기가스로 인한 대기오염 (Air Pollution)은 큰 사회적 문제로 되고 있다. 이에 법적인 규제가 절실하게 필요하게 되어 1977년 12 월 31 일 환경보전법이 공모되고 자동차배 출가스의 규제조합이 수립되었다. 한편 행정직으로 환경청이 설립되어 이를 전달하게 되었으며 아울러 환경관계법령집(1981 년 5월)이 완성을 보았다. 그러나 자동차배출가스의 허용기준치가 자동차공업이 발달한 선진국에 비하여 너무도 미흡한 단계인바 국가적 차원에서 집중적인 대 책강구와 규제를 강화시켜야 할 실정이다. 따라서 우리나라와 선진제국들의 자동차배출의 규제 치및 대책방법 등을 고찰하고, 금후의 개발과 기술적 문제점들을 기술하고자 한다.
