The Relationship Analysis Between Academic Library Usage and Academic Achievement (대학생의 도서관 이용과 학업성취도 간의 영향관계 분석)

  • This study aims to investigate the relationship between university library usage and educational achievement of academic library users. To proceed with this study, academic library usage data were collected from S university undergraduate students. Academic achievement was measured using the students' grade point average(GPA). T-test and analysis of variance were used to compare differences of means between library usage and academic achievement with the background variables. Hierarchical regression analyses were conducted to determine the association between library usage and academic achievement. As a result, a positive correlation was found between academic achievement and the use of library resources and services according to gender, year and academic subject. In addition, academic library usage had a positive significant influence on academic achievement. Students who used more library resources and facilities ultimately get better grades.

The Factors Affecting Promotion Effects: SNS Analysis for Franchise Food Service Industry (프로모션 효과에 영향을 미치는 요인: 프랜차이즈 외식 산업의 SNS 버즈 분석을 중심으로)

  • Companies has been investing enormous resources in promotion as the market keeps changing rapidly. Therefore, there are growing needs to measure the impact of a promotion on revenue growth. To investigate the effect of promotion in franchise food service industry, this study empirically analyzed text data from Twitter, one of the dominant social network services. Our findings show that a gap between promotions, promotion duration, and season have a significant influence on a volume of twitter buzz, which represents a promotion effect in our study. Next, we tried to analyze the reason why those factors were related to the promotion effect. Finally, we suggested promotion strategies related to each influential factor depending on types of business in food service industry.

  • A child's mental health is an important element of his proper emotional development. Abuse of children by parents and peer groups are causes of depression and anxiety in children. These conditions become obstacles to their normal growth process which can be a contributing factor to juvenile delinquency. This study is based in the theoretical background of the relationship between abuse from parents and peer groups and children's emotional health. This information is analyzed through structural equation modeling.

  • 벤처 기업의 평가와 관련되어 벤처 캐피탈리스트들의 의사결정에 대한 지금까지의 선행 연구들의 주 초점은 벤처 캐피탈의 의사 결정 과정과 이에 관련된 의사 결정 기준이지만, 연구의 또 다른 상호 보완적인 흐름은 의사 결정에 상대적인 가중치와 중요성에 영향을 주는 요인에 관한 것이다. 즉, 벤처 캐피탈리스트의 의사결정에 있어서 인적 자본 요소인 벤처 기업의 창업자 또는 창업팀의 특징이 더 중요하다는 주장과 불확실성을 특징으로 하는 제품/서비스의 특징, 시장/산업의 특징, 재정적 특징이 창업자/창업팀의 특징 보다 더 중요하다는 두 가지 관점이 선행 연구에 존재한다. 그러나 벤처 캐피탈리스트의 의사 결정에 영향을 주는 것으로 알려진 두 가지 주장은 각각 독립적으로 연구되어 왔기 때문에 창업자의 특징과 불확실성의 요소가 결합된 상호 영향이나 상대적인 중요도가 벤처개피탈의 의사결정에 어떤 영향을 주는지에 관한 연구는 거의 없다. 이러한 배경에서 본 논문의 목적은 인적 자본 이론을 도입하여 벤처 캐피탈리스트의 의사 결정에 중요한 의사 결정 기준인 창업자의 특징 중 창업자의 경험(산업 경험, 창업 경험, 경영 경험)과 불확실성으로 발생되는 요인의 상대적인 중요도에 대한 이해를 증진시키는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 창업자의 특성과 불확실성의 특성을 벤처 캐피탈리스트의 의사 결정 과정에 실험적으로 적용할 수 있는 가상의 시나리오를 기반으로 하는 컨조인트 분석법을 적용하여 창업자의 특성과 불확실성을 포함하고 있는 8가지 요인(속성)의 중요도를 연구한다.

  • When measuring the value of environmental attributes of housing, the conventional Hedonic Pricing Method assumes market equilibrium. Thus each attribute is believed to be implicitly valued based on the market price. The revealed preference is the basic logic in this approach. However, if the participants in the housing market are not perfectly informed or feel vagueness regarding the attributes of the housing, the conventional Hedonic Pricing Approach could not provide relevant value of the attribute in question. A Fuzzy Regression Method is suggested to handle with the lack of information or preference uncertainty problem m the Hedonic Pricing Approach. In this paper, our main concern IS given to the fuzziness effect on the airport noise in the metropolitan areas of South Korea.

  • The purpose of this study is to Investigate the factors haying an Influence on activating the Interlibrary loan between national university libraries. Data were collected by and questionnaires. To analyze the factors activating the Interlibrary loan, 1-test and regression analysis method Is adopted depending on the type of data collected. The findings of the study shows that the interlibrary loan can be more actively performed in the group of libraries to focus the subject background on library and Information science than the other group the number of lending cases is highly affected by collection size. the number of periodical titles, annually increased number of collections and periodical titles. Otherwise the number of borrowing cases is much less affected than the number of lending cases by the above factors : the interlibrary loan can be more actively conducted in the group of libraries using facsimile or PC than the other group.

  • 본 연구는 같은 동양문화권에 속하면서도 사회·문화적 배경이 다른 한국과 일본 대학생들을 대상으로 라이프스타일 특성과 여가시간 활용을 비교 분석하므로써 양국대학생들의 소 비문화를 추론하는데 초점을 두고 있다. 새로운 세대로 지칭되는 대학생들은 이미 새로운 수요를 창출하는 세분시장으로서 마케터들의 관심을 모으고 있지만, 국가간 시장을 세분화하고 그에 따른 적절한 마케팅 전략을 구사하는 것이 과연 효과적인가를 탐색해 보는 것이 본 연구의 목표이다. 라이프스타일은 AIO 분석에 근거하여 의생활분야, 구매 및 쇼핑분야, 가치관분야, 정보추구분야, 인터넷 광고분야 등의 다섯 가지 영역으로 구분하고 양국 대학생들을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였다. 각 영역별로 요인분석을 실시하여 모두 23개의 요인이 도출되었고, 양국 대학생 집단은 모두 18개 부문에서 차이를 보였으며 5개 부문에서는 유의적인 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 그러나 여가 및 시간활용에서는 양국 대학생 집단간에 차이를 보이는 항목이 많았으며, 인구 통계적 요인이 국적과 상호작용을 통해 여가활동에 서로 다르게 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 사회·문화적 환경이 다른 소비자 집단의 특성을 이해하고 여가활동 유형과 여가시간 활용에 따라 차별화를 가능하게 함으로써 국제적인 마케팅전략수립을 위해 효과적인 시장세분화 기준을 제공하고 소비패턴 분석을 위한 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

Meta-Analysis on Factors Influencing Technology Transfer Performance (기술이전성과의 영향요인에 관한 메타분석)

  • In this study, we reviewed and analyzed the influencing factors of technology transfer performance in the previous studies (52 domestic journals and theses) and classified the various influencing factors into 6 top factors and 13 sub-factors based on the theoretical background. The study results of previous articles were analyzed by meta-analysis method so as to calculate the overall average effect size of influencing factors of technology transfer performance. As the result, the overall effect size (ESr) calculated through meta-analysis applying random effect model is .269, which corresponds to the medium effect size. By comparing effect sizes of influencing factors, the four(4) key influencing factors were also identified, which are 'number of researchers', 'dedicated organization', 'possess technology', and 'external cooperation'. The technology transfer performance are divided into three types: the number of technology transfers, technology transfer income, and other technology transfer performances. The major influencing factors of each type are derived through meta-analysis at the sub-category level. As moderator variables, the paper type and the data type were analyzed but no significant results were obtained. Since this research is limited to the technology transfer, it is necessary to carry out the study related to the influencing factors on the technology commercialization as following study.

A Survey on the Spatial Sense Ability of Elementary School Students -Focusing on Fourth to Sixth Graders- (초등학생들의 공간 감각 실태 조사 -4,5,6학년을 중심으로-)

  • The study aims to extract the framework of sub-factors of spatial sense, to develop test instruments based on the framework to investigate the actual spatial sense ability of fourth to sixth graders in elementary school and to analyze the results. According to the framework of sub-factors of spatial sense of the study, spatial sense has two factors of spatial visualization and spatial orientation. Spatial visualization is divided into mental rotation, mental transformation and figure-ground perception while spatial orientation is categorized into direction sense, distance sense, and location sense. Based on the framework, the test instrument for spatial sense ability was developed and the test was conducted to 430 fourth to sixth students in five elementary schools in capital areas. The following conclusions were drawn from the results obtained in the study. Firstly, the higher school year gets, the more spatial sense grows. However, spatial visualization is developed much more than spatial orientation and their order is reversed with higher graders. Secondly, the most insufficient abilities among fourth to sixth elementary school students' spatial sense were mental transformation of spatial visualization and location sense of spatial orientation. Thirdly, the reasons of differences in sub-factors of spatial sense and graders seem to be from effects of students' learning experiences of spatial sense of mathematics curriculum and the complexities of test items.

  • Modem metal furniture design can be defined as the spirit of the times. It reflects the society we are living in; political and social issues, new technology and materials developed, structural solution and changes on the sense of value of a period. Therefore, the metal furniture design professionals must understand the flow of the society before designing or producing. Understanding the trends of a period is crucial for the metal furniture designers to develop the speciality. This study aims to offer the chance to understand and analyse the characteristics of contemporary metal furniture design and the cultural development. It gives the theories on the relationship between the environmental background and social factors that have influenced on the development of metal furniture design.
