When the transverse bed slope ($S_t$) in channel bend is more than 0.1, it may produce undesirable results on the bed topography of the cross section. The linear relationship for $S_t$ results in zero or negative flow depths at the shallow $S_t$de of the cross section (i.e., inner bank). The exponential relationship for $S_t$ results in excessive flow depths at the deep side of the cross section (i.e., outer bank). This problem can be solved by combining the best features of both relationships described above. From the study, the linear relationship can be applied for the deep $S_t$de of the cross section. But the exponential relationship is suitable for the shallow side. Therefore, the new relationship of $S_t$ is clarified mathematically. A new mathematical model for bed topography is developed herein which takes accounts of the phase lag and the influence of the width to depth ratio. This model is used to analyze two sets of data: one from laboratory channel and the other from natural channel. A good agreement is found between the observed and the calculated bed topography based on the analysis of two sets of data.

This study is to clarify the comparative relationship and a mechanical anisotropy of rock on the subject of granite distributed in the Namwon area Uniaxial compressive and Brazilian strengths with respect to the horizontal and vertical axes of granite are shown the linear relation. In the case of the result of the p-wave velocity measurement. it is represented that the velocity of vortical direction is faster about 10 to 15% than other two horizontal directions. The difference between velocities is caused by a developmental pattern of microcracks distributed in rock. Moreover, this result is very consistent with the result investigated through thin sections. The proportion of uniaxial compression strength to Index of point load strength ($Is_{(50)}$) is 18~20 times in case of granite. Uniaxial compressive strength is relatively good relationship with point load strength, Schmidt hammer rebound value, and tensile strength point load strength of them is the best comparative relationship. It is indicated that point load test is the most useful tool to estimate uniaxial compressive strength, comparing with other experimental methods.

To examine the causal association between story usage and the ability of comprehending social relations, this study analyzed whether the short-term use of story heightened the degree of other-focused attention. To this end, this study randomly assigned 74 participants into three groups(novel, film, and exposition conditions), and participants were exposed to the stimuli for about 30 minutes, and then this study compared the degree of other-focused attention of the three groups. The results suggested that the degree of other-focused attention in the story groups (novel and film) were significantly higher than those in the exposition group. Though causal association between story usage and the ability of comprehending social relations were not clear, via demonstrating the formation of other-focused attention due to short-term use of story, this study provided empirical evidence for the simulation account of story.

방향 네트워크 임베딩 문제는 주어진 방향 네트워크의 노드들을 그들 간의 비대칭 관계를 보존할 수 있는 저 차원 벡터들로 표현하는 것이다. 최근, 이 문제에 대한 다양한 방법들이 제안되어왔다. 본 논문에서 우리는 네 가지 실세계 방향 네트워크 데이터셋와 세 가지 에지 예측 시나리오를 이용한 실험을 통해, 최신 방향 네트워크 임베딩 방법들의 성능을 종합적으로 비교 분석한다.

We have studied general orientational characteristics of microcracks distributed in Tertiary crystalline tuff from the northeastern part of the Gyeongsang Basin. 108 sets of microcracks on horizontal surfaces of 6 rock samples from Heunghae-eup and Cheongha-myeon, Pohang-si areas were distinguished by image processing. Those microcrack sets show a distinct linear array in 38 images. Whole domain of the directional angle(${\theta}$)-frequency(N) chart for crystalline tuff can be divided into 20 domains in terms of the phases of the distribution of microcracks. From the related chart, microcrack sets show preferred orientation which are coincident with the direction of vertical common joints. Consequently, the potential for macroscopic vertical joints in a rock body can be inferred from the directional angle showing high frequency in each domain of the related chart. This joint pattern is nearly the same in Mesozoic granites from Seokmo-do, Gwanghwa-gun. From the rose diagram for orientations of microcrack in crystalline tuff, orientations of dominant sets of microcracks in terms of frequency orders reflect representative orientations of maximum principal stress acted on crystalline tuff. Meanwhile, orientations of microcracks in crystalline tuff were compared with those of open microcracks in Bulgugsa granites from the southwestern part of the Gyeongsang Basin, and vertical rift/grain planes from Mesozoic granite quarries in Korea. In regional distribution chart, the agreement of distribution pattern between above two types of microcrack sets and vertical planes suggests that microcrack systems developed in crystalline tuff probably occur regionally in Mesozoic granites in Korea.

In this paper, we present a color interpolation algorithm that uses novel edge direction estimator and region classifier. The proposed edge direction estimator accurately determines the edge direction based on the correlation between the images obtained by the channel separated and down-sampled Bayer color filter array(CFA) pattern. The correlation is defined based on the similarity between the edge direction in the local region of the image and the shifting direction of the images. Also, the region of an image is defined as the flat, the edge, and the pattern-edge regions, where the edges are appeared repeatedly. When all the pixels in the image are classified into the three different regions, each pixel is interpolated horizontally or vertically according to the estimated direction. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms the conventional edge-directed methods on objective and subjective criteria.

In this study, blowholes, a kind of solid defects, were intentionally introduced in transverse butt-welded joints which are widely used for the connection of main members in steel structures to evaluate the fatigue characteristics of these joints with blowholes according to the difference of the size and shape of blowholes, and a series of tests were performed. Static test results proved that the static strength of these joints with blowholes was not affected by their size and shape. From the fatigue test results on these joints with blowholes, the size and shape of blowholes inside the weld metals were strongly affected in fatigue strength, and we suggested the relationship between fatigue strength and their size and shape quantitatively. Also, Using the relationship of fatigue crack growth rate and stress intensity factor range, the fatigue life of transverse butt-welded joints with blowholes can be estimated properly.

최근들어 전문건설업계의 해외건설면허 취득이 늘어남에 따라 설비건설업계에서도 해외건설면허를 확보한 회원사가 급증하고 있다. 해외건설면허는 좁은 국내시장을 탈피함은 물론 고품질 확보로 국제경쟁력 강화등 많은 장점이 있어 관심의 대상으로 부각되고 있다. 게다가 IMF한파에 대한 돌파구의 일환으로 해외건설에 대한 관심은 더욱 고조되고 있다. 이러한 시점에서 해외건설협회가 지난 4월 8일부터 10일까지 3일간 회원사들을 상대로 실시한 ${\ulcorner}$해외건설 실무교육 신임과정${\lrcorner}$교육은 관련업계의 관심을 모았다. 본지는 독자적인 해외건설 진출에 미숙한 설비건설업계의 사정을 고려, ${\ulcorner}$해외건설 실무교육 신임과정${\lrcorner}$ 교육중 해외건설 관계법령 및 정책방향을 게재한다.

본 논문의 연구 목적은 한 가족의 중심체계인 부부 체계의 건전함과 잠재력을 지원하여 부부관계의 향상을 도모하고, 나아가 전체 가족관계를 건강하게 유지.발달시키기 위한 방법의 하나로서 한국부부에 적합한 가족생활교육으로서의 부부관계 향상프로그램을 개발하 는데 있다. 본 연구에서는 한국과 미국에서 실시하고 있는 가족생활교육 프로그램 및 부부관계향상 프로그램 자료를 근거로 프로그램의 이론적 체계를 마련하고자 노력하였다. 그 구체적인 내용은 1) 선행의 가족생활교육 프로그램 및 부부교육 프로그램에 관한 분석 평가를 근거로 한국 부부관계향상에 적합한 프로그램 모형을 제시하여, 2) 앞으로의 부부관계향상 프로그램 실시를 위한 단계적 지침 및 방향을 제시하는 것 등으로 구성되었다.
