The cigarette holds more than 10 percents of the entire fire accidents despite the number of smokers rapidly decreases every year. The purpose of this study is to examine the ignition characteristics of cigarette by experimentation. This study analyzed the cases of fires inferred that they were caused by cigarette in Incheon during 2006. As the representative ignition materials, corrugated board, gasoline, lacquer thinner, tarpaulin, flexible PVC sheet, and poly ethylene were tested. In this experimentation, the corrugated board was ignited by cigarette. However gasoline, lacquer thinner, tarpaulin, flexible PVC sheet, and poly ethylene were seldom ignited. Meanwhile most fire investigators have argued that oils and tents were ignited by cigarette, but this study experimentally proved that such an argument might be ungrounded.

대부분의 전기화재는 전기제품의 전원코드나 확장형 콘센트 등 저압 배선에서 주로 발생한다. 최초발화에 기인한 단락흔(1차 단락흔)의 외형적 판단기준을 제시하고자 발화원인이 규명된 전기화재의 감정사례로부터 비닐평형코드에 형성된 단락흔의 형태학적 비교분석결과 단락흔 자체 형태만으로 1차단락으로 판정하기는 용이하지 않지만 1차 단락흔은 2차 단락흔과 달리 용융방울이 미세하게 형성되고, 흑색으로 착색되는 경향이 있으며, 특히 절연피복의 손상을 줄 수 있는 선행된 원인이 있는 곳에서 만 특징을 나타내는 것을 알 수 있었다.

본 연구는 국내의 가정에서 가장 많이 사용되고 있는 1조식전자동세탁기(이하 기기라 함)의 발화위험요소 중, 그 내부에 부속된 세탁조의 하부측을 경유하며 배선되는 전선(이하 하부배선이라 함)의 발화형태와 성상(性狀)을 조명하므로서, 예방대안과 원인조사의 요령을 구체적으로 제시하고자 하였다.

This paper studied analysis of deflagration rapid propagation of burning through only a few second and fire cause into the Busan indoor shooting range. We carried out combustion experiment of sound-absorbing materials extensively used, to analyze propagation path of burning in indoor shooting range. From the experimental results, general sound-absorbing materials were rapid burned simultaneously with ignition and in case of attached gunpowder residue, they were burning about tripled by comparison with general sound-absorbing materials. The incombustibility sound-absorbing materials had all gone out simultaneously with ignition, but they were burning similar to general type materials in case of attached gunpowder residues. In order to analysis of the cause of fire, we calculated kinetic energy of bounced off bullet, from result, if the bounced off bullet impacted gunpowder residues, the gunpowder residues were possible to ignite by the bullet.
