In this paper, we propose the method that extracts the speech feature using the hearing model through signal precessing techniques. The proposed method includes following procedure ; normalization of the short-time speech block by its maximum value, multi-resolution analysis using the discrete wavelet transformation and re-synthesize using thediscrete inverse wavelet transformation, differentiation after analysis and synthesis, full wave rectification and integration. In order to verify the performance of the proposed speech feature in the speech recognition task, korean digita recognition experiments were carried out using both the dTW and the VQ-HMM. The results showed that, in case of using dTW, the recognition rates were 99.79% and 90.33% for speaker-dependent and speaker-independent task respectively and, in case of using VQ-HMM, the rate were 96.5% and 81.5% respectively. And it indicates that the proposed speech feature has the potentials to use as a simple and efficient feature for recognition task.

The effect of microwave irradiation on waste activated sludge was investigated in order to improve solubilization. a different levels of microwave irradiation time were varied within a range from 1 min to 15 min. When WAS was pretreated at 1, 3, 5, 7, and 15 min, the SCOD concentration increased according to microwave irradiation time. A simple batch procedure was used to measure the VFA potential, i.e. the amount of VFA that can be formed through digestion of organic constituent in sludge. At equilibrium point, TVFA in the case of 1, 3, 5, 7 and 15 min microwaved sludges was 8%, 122%, 243%, 279% and 232% higher than that in the case of raw sludge, respectively.

One of the obstacles for a magnetic bearing to be used in the wide range of industrial applications is the failure modes associated with magnetic bearings, which we don't expect for conventional passive bearings. These failure modes include electric power outage, power amplifier faults, position sensor faults, and the malfunction of controllers. Fault-tolerant magnetic bearing systems have been proposed so that the system can operate in spite of some faults in the system. In this paper, we designed and implemented a fault-tolerant magnetic bearing system for a turbo-molecular vacuum pump. The system can cope with the actuator/amplifier faults as well as the faults in position sensors, which are the two major fault modes in a magnetic bearing system.

The aim of this study was to find out the effects of the Yukmijihwangtang on transcription activity of Genes related to Bone Morphogenesis. For this purpose, experiments were performed to compare the polyphosphate contents of Yukmijihwangtang and its component herbs, and to verify their Effects on transcription activity of Genes related to Bone Morphogenesis. We know that Yukmijihwangtang and its component herbs have adequate amount of polyphosphate contents and have effects on transcription activity of Genes such as BMP1A, BMP2B, OTN, MGP, COL. In the conclusion, Yukmijihwangtang and its component herbs are strongly believed to have effectiveness on bone morphogenesis.

The accuracy and the dynamic bandwidth are the two most important indices that an inductive position sensor is evaluated with. Eddy currents and magnetic hysteresis affect both of these performance indices. As the modulation frequency of the sensor increases to improve the dynamic bandwidth, the effects of eddy currents and hysteresis also increases, which results in the loss of accuracy. In this paper, a magnetic circuit model of the differential inductive sensor is developed. This model includes the effects of hysteresis and eddy currents. Experimental results confirm the validity of the model. The model predicts that the eddy current effects are not significant below the modulation frequency of 50kHz, as long as the lamination thickness is adequate.

In this paper, an actuator model of the thrust magnetic bearing for the flywheel energy storage is derived using magnetic circuit theory. And we compared this result with finite element magnetic field analysis result. Based on the actuator model, we made a simulation model of the thrust magnetic bearing system. We showed the closed loop transfer function and sensitivity function of the thrust magnetic bearing system using both the simulation model and the experiment. The experimental result at rotation velocity 18,000rpm of thrust magnetic bearing system is included.

본 논문에서는 새로운 음성표현 방법의 하나로 멜켑스트럼 계수에 대한 부호패턴(+,-)을 이용하는 방법을 제안한다. 부호패턴은 보음이나 비음과 같이 정상성이 강한 음성신호에 대해서 비교적 안정된 형태를 얻을 수 있으며, 음운성을 크게 손상시키지 않고 화자간 개인차를 흡수할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 부호패턴을 이용하여 한국어 음소를 표현함으로써 음소모델의 작성과 음소의 인식절차를 크게 감소시킬 수 있음을 보인다.

이 글은 박병철과 이승종의 저술에 대한 박정일의 서평을 중심으로 비트겐슈타인 철학의 몇몇 문제점을 고찰하면서 다음과 같은 것을 주장한다. 첫째 비트겐슈타인 철학의 현상학적 양상을 추적하고 있는 박병철의 현상학의 개념이 명백하지 않다. 둘째 "논리철학논고"의 유아론은 경험적 유아론이 아니라 선험적 유아론이다. 셋째 "논리철학논고"의 대상은 감각자료가 아니다. 넷째 우리에게 주어진 소여는 논리적인 것이다. 다섯째 박병철은 이 논리적인 것을 경험에 근거지우는 실책을 범하고 있다. 여섯째 모순의 형식적 개념에 대한 이승종의 비판은 성공적이지 않다. 일곱째 이것은 박정일이 지적한 것처럼 허수아비 공격의 오류를 범했기 때문인 것처럼 보인다. 여덟째 모순된 규칙에 대한 이승종의 이해는 박정일이 지적하듯이 잘못되었다.

Outdoor space used for leisure life as inhabitantses' recreation and rest area, and night activity is very important space to many apartment complex. Lately, outdoor space is recognized as a very important space in apartment complex. Especially, that outdoor space is frequently used at night despite planning of lighting of current outdoor space is unprepared for the selection of suitable luminaires, arrangement of luminaire and lighting plan. From this point of view, this paper investigated the essence of light in outdoor space and analyzed different outdoor luminous environment. This paper finally suggested recommended level of illuminance and planning of lighting.

Daylight responsive dimming system, which is one of the method for utilizing available daylight. continuously adjusts lighting output with an algorithm of the correlation of photosensor signal and workplane illuminance levels. This system must be related with shading systems which are to control penetrating daylight. The purpose of this research is to analyze illuminance distributions by artificial lighting in different shading systems. Lighting power is changed by 5 levels in nighttime for comparing correlation between illuminance and lighting power in different shading systems.
