  • In biological cell manipulation, manual thrust or penetration of an injection pipette into an embryo cell is currently performed by a skilled operator, relying on visual feedback information only. Accurately measuring cellular forces is a requirement for minimally invasive cell injections. Moreover, the cellular farce sensing is essential in investigating the biophysical properties for cell injury and membrane modeling studies. This paper presents cellular force measurements for the force feedback-based biomanipulation. Cellular force measurement system using piezoelectric polymer sensor is implemented to measure the penetration force of a zebrafish egg cell. First, measurement system setup and calibration are described. Second, the force feedback-based biomanipulation is experimentally carried out. Experimental results show that it successfully supplies real-time cellular force feedback to the operator at several tens of uN and thus plays a main role in improving the reliability of biological cell injection tasks.

  • In this paper, we propose a novel manipulator intended for the needs of telerobotic micromanipulation. We designed an original manipulator capable of performing fine motion with an accuracy greater than $2{\mu}m$, while remaining simple in design and easy in control. Preliminary calculations of manipulator accuracy have been conducted, and the device has been designed and manufactured accordingly. The accuracy of the proposed manipulator has been verified during the series micro-positioning experiments under different types of controllers, and the results proved that the manipulator is suitable for micromanipulation applications as a part of telerobotic system. The proposed manipulator has been compared to existing analogues by several parameters, and both its advantages and disadvantages have been discussed.

  • 'Jump' control is one of several game controls using mainly in 2D game, and 'Jump' control is also very important in 3D game that has been developed steadily due to the advance of programing technology. 3D MMORPG among some kinds of 3D games is the most popular as on-line game in domestic game market these days. This study will give domestic game developers ideas and solutions through analyzing and testing problems caused by applying 'Jump' control technique as control interface of 3D MMORPG game.

  • The demand of biodiesel that is a renewable, alternative fuel for fossil-based petrodiesel seems to keep increasing. Exploiting lipids of microalgae as a raw material for biodiesel is already technically feasible. To realize economical production of microalgal biodiesel, several factors or strategies should be addressed and improved. Especially, researches on improvement of lipid synthesis by genetic or metabolic engineering are now in early stage, and prospects of this field are bright, requiring concerns and interests of many researchers to put practical use of microalgal biodiesel forward.

  • 철도차량의 루프 판넬(Roof Panel)은 폭이 약 3m, 길이가 약 20m의 초대형 외판과 하부 골조간에 2000 - 3000개의 스폿 용접건을 조작해서 작업을 해야 하는 대표적인 작업기피 공정의 하나이다. 이제까지 철도차량 제조업체에서는 대부분 스폿 용접을 사진1에서 본 바와 같이 수동조작 메니퓨레이터 등의 전용장비를 사용하여 제품 생산을 하고 있었으나 이러한 장비는 고가일뿐 아니라 수동조작으로 위치 이동 하여 모든 스폿 용접을 하여야 하므로 작업시간이 크게 소요되어 생산성이 매우 낮았 다. 본고에서는 300kg 중량물 취급용 5축 구조의 대형 로봇을 개발하여 철도차량 루프 판넬 스폿용접 작업 공정을 자동화 함으로서 생산성 및 품질을 크게 향상시킨 사례에 대하여 소개하고자 한다.

  • 2000년 현재 우리나라 농가의 트랙터 보유대수는 총 191,000대로 이 중에서 40, 50마력 급 이하는 165,000대로 대부분을 차지하고있으며 이러한 중소형 트랙터는 대부분 트랙터 클러치의 조작을 링크시스템으로 한 기계식 클러치이다. 오늘날 농가인력은 고령화가 심화되어있고 또한 부녀자의 영농참여 비중이 높아지고 있는 실정이며, 나아가 인체공학 등을 포함시킨 농업기계기술개발이 중요시되고 있는 실정이다. 오늘날 우리나라 농가에 보급된 농업기계는 대부분 남성을 대상으로 설계되어 있어 여성이 조작하기에는 어려운 점이 많으며, 특히 트랙터인 경우 기계식 클러치에서 농업 여성의 80%정도가 조작할 수 없는 것으로 보고된 바 있다.   • This paper focuses to identify and analyze the influence of the perceived risk and innovation adoption of the new products in the bio-industry. After a comprehensive literature review, we identified factors, such as perceived risks, perceived benefits, trust, fear of the unknown, innate innovativeness, and domain-specific innovativeness. An empirical result points that perceived benefits and domain-specific innovativeness have positive effect to the consumer's purchase intention, while trust and fear of the unknown don't have significant effect.

  • The National Assembly of the Republic of Korea recently enacted laws to fortify sanctions about data manipulation of pharmaceutical companies. The medicine approval system is the result of legislative efforts to prevent accidents that caused damages to patients' life and health. The medicine approval system is based on the trust that the data submitted by pharmaceutical companies is not manipulated. The Supreme Court of Korea clarified that strict standard shoud be required to secure the medicine safety in Supreme Court Decision 2008Du8628 decided November 13, 2008. We agree. This paper suggest legislation to weaken the economic incentives for pharmaceutical companies to choose data manipulation by minimizing the expected profit. In addition to revoking the marketing authorization of the medicine, the 'unfair' profits the pharmaceutical company has earned must be recovered. In addition, in order to increase the possibility to discover data manipulation, it is necessary to strengthen the review capacity and to activate the whistle-blowing.

  • An Edutainment Contents help the learners to recognize the problems effectively, grasp and classify important information needed to solve the problems and convey the contents of what they have learned. Owing not only to this game-like fun but also to the educational effect, The Edutainment contents can be usefully applied to education and training in the areas of scientific technology and industrial technology. This study proposes the Edutainment that users can apply to biotechnology by using intuitive multi-modal interfaces. In this study, a stereoscopic monitor is used to make three dimensional molecular structures, and multi-modal interface is used to efficiently control. Based on the system, this study easily solved the docking simulation function, which is one of the important experiments, by applying these game factors. For this, we suggested the level-up concept as a game factor that depends on numbers of objects and users.
