The Effects of a Cosmetology Education for Reemployment Women on Career Preparation Behavior (미용교육이 재취업여성의 진로준비행동에 미치는 영향)

  • The object of this study is the effects of a cosmetology education for career discontinuity women who receive a cosmetology education for reemployment on career preparation behavior, so I analyzed reemployment characteristics, cosmetology education satisfaction, and career preparation behavior for 300 women in thirties to fifties who receive a cosmetology education for reemployment. Reemployment women's reemployment characteristics are various according to age, level of education, major field, training period, and educational institution, and sub factors of cosmetology education satisfaction affects meaningfully to improve career preparation behavior. Especially, educational contents and consultation about getting a job and career casts a long shadow relatively to career preparation behavior, so educational contents and consultation service about getting a job and career are important to make reemployment rate through career preparation behavior high. Based on such factors, the study will fulfill students' demand in cosmetology educational institutions, will highlight the importance of an efficient cosmetology education for developing industrial settings once more, and will offer base line data of consultation service about getting a job and career that can make satisfaction and credibility of educational institutions high, so will help the development of a cosmetology education and career discontinuity women's reemployment.

A Study on the Trend of Acquiring National Technology Certificate of Nail Beautician (네일 미용사 국가기술 자격증 취득 동향에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the actual conditions of students before and after acquiring national technical qualifications for nail cosmetologists, and to provide basic data for building systematic data according to students' competency and effective educational methods for acquiring qualifications. The statistical package program SPSS v 18.0 was used for the trend of acquiring national technical qualifications for nail cosmetologists among each variable according to careers in the nail beauty industry for nail beauty students residing in Gwangju. As a result of using the statistical package program SPSS v 18.0, the analysis showed that the proportion of women (80.8%), single (70.8%), 20s (47.7%), college or university graduates (26.2%), and students (42.3%) was high. In addition, as a result of cross-analysis of the period and cost according to gender for obtaining the national technical license of the nail beautician, it was concluded that the Pearson chi-square significant probability (p) was .416 and .899, respectively, and there was a difference between men and women. The field experience of the nail beauty industry was found to have a significant positive (+) effect on the training period, course cost, educational institution, and exam experience (p <.001) for obtaining a certificate. Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to promote the development of nail beauty marketing and to present a constructive vision of the nail beauty industry to be pursued in the future.

Effect of beauty lifestyle behaviors on the pursuit of beauty values and cosmetics purchasing behaviors (뷰티 라이프스타일 행동이 미용가치추구와 화장품구매행동에 미치는 영향)

  • This study aims to explore the effect of beauty lifestyle behaviors on the pursuit of beauty values and cosmetics purchasing behaviors in female college students, identify consumption market of female college students in beauty industry and contribute to the advancement of beauty industry. Data were collected by conducting a survey in 328 students. The survey was performed using self-administered questionnaires answered by the respondents themselves. The survey items were rated on a 5-point Likert scale and multiple choice question type was used. Statistical analyses were done using SPSS Statistics ver. 22.0. The study results are as follows. First, the regression analysis on the effect of beauty lifestyle behaviors on the pursuit of beauty values were found to be impacted on the sub-variables of beauty lifestyle behaviors including manicure, make-up, diet, body-shaping, and shopping behaviors (p<0.01). Second, the results of a difference in the pursuit of beauty values by cosmetics purchasing behavior showed that purchase frequency of cosmetic products for buying cosmetics were found to be statistically significant Third, as the results of a difference in cosmetics purchasing behaviors by beauty lifestyle behavior, reasons for the purchase frequency of cosmetic products, cost of purchasing cosmetics were statistically significant.

Survey on the Use and Awareness of Nail Convergent Strengtheners (네일 융복합보강제의 사용실태 및 인식도 조사)

  • As the nail industry has grown, concerns on damages to natural nails due to nail services and interests on nail products have been increased. This study is on nail convergent strengtheners which reduce damages on natural nails, and especially focused on the use and awareness of nail strengtheners by nail technicians. First, documentary research on previous studies was conducted to define nail services, nail damages, and nail strengtheners. Preliminary survey and main survey was conducted by KSDC on-line survey tool and the result was analyzed by frequency analysis, cross analysis, and correlation analysis by KSDC advanced statistical program. As a result, nail technicians have the high level of awareness on characteristics, effects, how to use, and application process of nail strengtheners. Nail technicians are the mid level of awareness on the ingredients of nail strengtheners.

Research on the Relationship between the Service Quality and Customer Loyalty of the Hair Beauty Industry for the Silver Generation : With a Focus on Relationship Quality (실버세대 헤어 미용업의 서비스품질과 고객충성도에 대한 관계성 연구: 관계품질을 중심으로)

  • The silver generation in our aging society will rapidly emergeas a new consumer group and the service industry used by silver customers will develop going forward. The beauty service sector is one of the most needed ones for the qualitative improvement of life for the silver generation. In this research, ananalysis was conducted on 244 persons of the silver generation living in Seoul, in order to examine the factors affecting the quality of the beauty service for the silver generation and their relationships with customer loyalty. For the statistical treatment of the empirical analysis, the SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 23.0 statistical programs were used. The results of the analysis showed that the service quality perceived by the silver customers who used the beauty service had significant effects on trust and flow, which are the relationship qualities, and that trust and flow had positive effects on customer loyalty. Also, it was found that, in the relationship between service quality and customer loyalty, trust had mediating effects on reliability, responsiveness, empathy, and assurance, and that flow had mediating effects on reliability, responsiveness, empathy, assurance, and tangibility. The results of this research are significant in that they present the basic data enabling the beauty industry to play an important role for the silver generation, under the present circumstances in which the beauty service industry has minimal educational programs exclusively available for the silver generation.

An Investigation on the Cosmetic Haircare Behavior of Women College Students (여대생의 모발미용 관리 및 형태에 관한 연구)

  • The goal of this study was to get the basic data for the domestic cosmetic industry, through analyzing female college ,students’ responses to cosmetic care of hair and their behavior, and their preference for hair cosmetics and brands. In their level of understanding and concern of hair cosmetic care, as well as their general knowledge, ‘dyed or decolorized hair’ types had the highest response rate at 49%, followed by ‘permanent wave’ type at 39%. Thus they were very interested in hairdressing-related operations, and even they made an attempt to do it directly. In the ways and management for dealing with harmful side effects caused by dyeing, decolorizing, or permanent, 74.7% of the respondents experienced adverse effects, as well as having complaints, after permanent wave. Of the complaints 245 students experienced, ‘hair damage’ was the highest rate of 42.4%, followed by ‘unsatisfied with hair style’ at 19.8%. From the above results, female college students showed a various interest in hair cosmetic care; however, they had little knowledge in this regard. Accordingly, it is necessary to educate them for the segmentation of hair cosmetics and the appropriate hair care, to meet their diversified cosmetic needs which becomes diversified, and to offer them the correct information of hair beauty.

A Study on the Preference and Trend Analysis of Barber and Hairdresser Acquisition of National Technology Certificate (이, 미용사 국가기술 자격증 취득 선호도 및 동향 분석에 관한 연구)

  • Beauty in the modern society is a professional occupation in which art and science are fusion-integrated, and in order to enter as a beautician, obtaining a national technical certificate is a routine customs clearance procedure. As it is time to present objective data on the national technology license and employment fields preferred by prospective beauticians, it is a time to analyze the perceptions and trends of the national technical license of the beautician preferred by beauty academy students who design success in the future beauty industry. Did. As a result of the analysis, the preferred national skill certificate and the desired employment field showed a very high correlation, and the personality and interests of the male, younger, unmarried, and student groups were selected as the priority, while the 30s or older, married or divorced, self-employed, and office workers, Housewives had a much higher rate of employment prospects. Through this study, it is possible to seek the essential tendency and development direction of beauty talents, and it is thought that it will set a desirable direction for R&D for education of national technical qualifications in the future and greatly contribute to the activation of the beauty academy market.

An analysis on the Factors of the Consumption Expenditure on K-beauty Service Industry (K-beauty 서비스산업 소비지출의 영향요인 분석)

  • This study aims to propose for the K-beauty industry by analyzing the consumption situation. The data used the household trend survey and GDP from 06' to 16' provided by the National Statistical Office. The analysis results of the influencing factors of expenditure on the K-beauty service industry per household resulted in the increase of expenditure on hair and beauty services and their goods when ordinary income decreased, it was possible to understand the similarities between the change of Engel's coefficient. It was difference in the proportion of consumption of beauty services account by income quintiles.The increase of the GNI had an effect on that of the consumption of K-beauty. The above results show that beauty service industry is relevant to the items of households' income and expenditure. Plans are needed to take into account national economic trends and consumption patterns.

  • In the explosive development of the beauty industry, skin care workers are negatively affected by their health and work attitudes due to excessive work intensity or excessive working hours, so there is an urgent need to study the working environment and job psychology. To this end, hypotheses were established and the main effects on skin care workers' job efficacy and job satisfaction in connection with manual technique were analyzed. As a result of the study, in the effect of the skin care manual technique on the skin care professional's sense of job efficacy, the scrutiny method had a significant effect, and in the effect on job satisfaction, the flexible method, the gait method, and the vibration method had a significant effect. In the skin care room, research and development of in-depth manual technique according to the purpose and scope of application of the customer is necessary for the skin care professional's job efficacy and job satisfaction as well as customer satisfaction. It is expected that it will be used as a basic data.

Analysis of terminology by year according to the change of beauty department department names - Focused on vocational colleges and university (미용 계열 학과명 변천에 따른 연도별 용어 분석 - 전문대학과 4년제 종합대학교를 중심으로)

  • The name of the department is not only a means of notifying the existence of the department, but also acts as an important indicator that includes the overall curriculum, specialization strategy, student management, and employment of the department. The importance of the department name, which is a collection of internal and external public relations, has emerged greatly, but the existing research related to this is insufficient. Therefore, in this study, the terminology used in the names of beauty departments at two-year colleges and four-year colleges nationwide is surveyed year by year to contribute to the establishment of developmental goals that the department should aim for and a systematic analysis for curriculum reform. As a result of the study, in 1994, 7 schools (41.18%) had the most skin care departments, and in 2005, 2013 and 2020, 'Beauty' was 50 cases (21.55%), 67 cases (28.03%), and 92 cases (34.20%), respectively. Through this study, it is possible to analyze the overall trend of the beauty industry, and it is expected that it will be used as basic data when promoting a department name change or opening a department in the future.
