무광부식 패턴을 갖는 자동차 내장부품인 HD Switch Panel의 제조 및 전사성 평가 (Development and transcription estimation of an automotive interior plastic part(HD Switch Panel) with no glossy etching pattern)

  • 본 논문에서는 미세 무광부식 패턴을 갖는 HD Switch Panel 자동차 부품을 개발하는 것으로, 제품 디자인을 통해 금형을 설계, 제작하였다. 최적화된 금형 제작을 위하여 CAE(Computer Aided Engineering)해석을 통하여 사출성형 공정에서 나타날 수 있는 문제점과 부품의 수축 변형을 정량적으로 예측하였다. 그리고, 금형표면의 가열온도와 실제 금형온도를 비교함으로써 공정변수 조절을 통해 사출성형조건의 최적화도 달성할 수 있었다. 한편, 순간금형표면가열방식을 이용한 성형기술인 E-MOLD를 적용하여 자동차 내장부품용 HD Switch Panel 사출성형품을 제작하였고, 전자현미경과 원자현미경을 이용한 표면 평가 및 광택도 측정을 통하여 무광부식 패턴의 전사율 향상으로 인한 무광 특성이 향상됨(2.5이상$\to$1.5~1.7)을 확인하였다.

  • Smart-phone in the recently released high-end applied to the camera module is equipped with the most features auto focusing camera module. Also, auto focusing camera module is divided into voice coil motor, encoder, and piezo according to type of motion mechanism. Auto focusing camera module is composed of voice coil motor (VCM) as an actuator and leaf spring as a guide and suspension. VCM actuator is made of magnet, yoke as a metal, and coil as a copper wire. Recently, the assembly as yoke and magnet is made by human resources. These process has a long process time and it is difficult to secure quality. Also, These process is not economical in cost, and productivity is reduced. Therefore, an automatic assembly as yoke and magnet is needed in the present process. In this paper, we have developed an automatic assembly device that can automatically assemble yoke and magnet, and performed verifying performance. Therefore, by using the developed automatic assembly device, it is possible to increase the productivity and reduce the production cost.

프레넬렌즈 금형용 미세홈 가공에 있어서 버 발생 경향에 관한 연구 (A study of burr formation on microgrooving for fresnel lens mould)

  • The side burrs and shape distortion resulting from the micromachining of an array of V-shape microgrooves in fresnel lens mould were experimentally invesigated. The focus of this study is on the influence of depth of cut and prism angle on the burr growing rate. The main experiments were con- ducted on the single prism cutting for the convinient of measuring the burr shape and cutting force. From the observation of the burr shape and burr growing rate, it was found that there exits a critical depth of cut below which the burrs are more or less irregular and weak. But above that critical value, the burrs are re- latively clear and stiff.

  • As mechanical components require size minimization and high precision, micro die machining technology has been developed in many fields. to machine a micro die by EDM, sometimes, a polygonal electrode is use. Machining corners by MEDM shows special characteristics. Physically, electrons are concentrated in sharp region and a high potential level is established in this region. Also, the electrode can't be rotated when machining a polygonal cavity, and machined debris can not drawn off easily. Discharge concentration in corners and 2nd discharge by machined debris result in distortion of corner shape. This phenomena can be improved by shaking the electrode. This method is also shown to be effective in improving surface roughness by circulation of machining fluid resulting from movement of the electrode.

  • Micro injection molding technology is very important fiw mass product of micro structures or micro parts. And, it is so difficult that the molding technology of micro pole or thin wall(barrier rib) structures with high aspect ratio. In this stud). \vc intend to research on the basic technology of micro wall structure part:< with high aspect ratio by the inject~on moldins method. The mold for esperimenrs with micro multi-square structures was made by L, I(;A process. One square polc's size is 157 157pm. height 50011111. And the distance of each poles is 5011n1. 7'hus. molding products will be for~nctl like as the net structure with thin wall of about 50pn thickness.(aspect ratio 10) Ihrough the e~lxriment. \be obtained the prociuctr of micro multi-square slructure with bout 37.000 cell per a piece. 'Ihe micro injection molding process technolog for thin wall by multi-square structure mold was analy~cd.

  • The micro pattern machining on the surface of wide mold is not easy to be simulated by conventional software. In this paper, a software is developed for micro pattern cutting simulation. The 3d geometry of v-groove, rectangular groove, pyramid and pillar patterns are visualized by C++ and OpenGL library. The micro cutting force is also simulated for each pattern.

  • 네일 파일(nailfile)을 제조할 때 재료는 강판(두께 0.5mm)을 사용하고 가공방법은 외형형상을 만들고 $\phi$ 0.8-$\phi$ 1.0mm의 구멍을 약 300여개 뚫어 완성한다. 이들의 가공방법은 에칭(etching)에 의존하므로 제조 원가의 $33\%$를 에칭비가 차지하고 있으므로 제조원가의 상승원인이 되고 에칭시 부식제(etching reagent)의 잔류도 환경친화적이 못되며 재료가 강판이기 때문에 제품에 녹(rust)이 생기므로 이들의 문제점을 해결하고자 하였다. 따라서, 재질은 스테인리스판으로 교체하고 에칭가공 대신 금형으로 가공할 수 있는 프로그레시브 퍼퍼레이팅 금형(progressive perforating die)을 개발하였다.

TFT-LCD의 도광판 패턴 사출성형용 금형가공 (Machining of the Inject Mould for Forming the Dot Pattern of LGP of TFT-LCD)

  • Light Guide Panel(LGP) is a key part of backlight unit(BLU) which transforms line-light of lamp to surface-light. Dot pattern is formed on the injected LGP surface by screen printing. This dot pattern is composed of several ten thousands micro dots of diameter 150-180$\mu\textrm{m}$ or so. The dot patterning by screen printing causes low productivity and low performance of TFT-LCD. This research develops the micromachining technology for LGP mould which could form micro dot pattern by injection molding, removing the existing screen printing process.

광반응사출성형 시 캐비티 엣지에서 발생하는 미세누출현상에 관한 해석적 연구 (A numerical study on micro leakage behaviors at cavity edge during photo reaction injection molding)

  • Despite technological advance, there have been several troubles in photo reaction injection molding (photo RIM) to produce ultra thin light guide panels (LGPs). In this study, micro leakage problem at cavity edge during photo RIM was investigated numerically. In order to obtain optimal processing conditions, we regulated inlet pressure of injected resin at the cavity edge and figured out micro leakage behaviors. At low inlet pressure (less than 100 Pa), though the micro leakage problem was not occurred, another problem, short shot due to not enough driving force, was appeared More than 1,000 Pa of the inlet pressure, injected resin was rapidly leaked through the micro gap at the cavity edge. Finally, we obtained optimal inlet pressure around 600 ~ 1,000 Pa. At this region, injected resin fully filled the cavity without micro leakage behavior. Based on the present study, further comparative investigations with experimental photo RIM should be performed to find optimal processing conditions for produce ultra thin LGPs.

금형제작 및 보수를 위한 레이저 직접금속성형(DMT) 기술의 응용 (Die Manufacturing and Repair Using Laser-Aided Direct Metal Tooling)

  • 레이저를 이용한 직접금속성형기술(영문명 : DMT: Direct Metal Tooling)은 고 부가가치의 기능성 소재(금속, 합금, 세라믹 등)의 미세한 분말을 원하는 3차원 공간상에 주사함과 동시에 이를 레이저로 직접, 순간 용착시키며 이것이 공간상에서 축적되가면서 미리 정해진 3차원 파트형상이 자동적으로 빌드업 되도록 하는 고도의 정밀제어 기술을 요하는 신기술이다. 이는 컴퓨터에 저장된 3차원 디지털 형상정보(digital data of 3D subjects)만 갖고 있으면 이로부터 그에 해당하는 금속파트형상을 적절히 소재분말을 이용하여 곧바로 실물로 재현하여 얻을 수 있게 됨을 의미하며 이로서 기존에 절삭기계를 이용한 가공 공법보다 손쉽고 빠르면서도 반면 기계적 성질은 종전기술보다 월등히 우수한 B차원 금속 파트나 금형 형상을 소재의 낭비가 전혀 없는 환경 친화적인 방법으로 제작할 수 있는, 소위 밀레니엄시대를 대표하는 최첨단 미래형 기술의 구현이다.
