최근의 미디어 생성/소비 패턴은 UCC 같은 소비자가 직접 미디어를 생성하고 소비하는 프로세스가 등장하여 일반화되고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 동향에 발맞추어 다종의 멀티미디어 콘텐츠의 소비를 바탕으로 이를 소셜 네트워킹화하고 이를 통해 개인화된 맞춤형 콘텐츠를 추천할 수 있는 추천 에이전트를 개발하였다. 방송/통신망 상에 존재하는 다양한 콘텐츠 중에 사용자의 선호패턴과 일치하는 콘텐츠들을 추천하여 서비스하는 본 시스템은 유무선 환경을 망라하는 다기종의 디바이스들을 위한 플랫폼들을 지원하고 있다.

E-learning의 학습 컨텐츠는 점차 멀티미디어화 되고, 시스템 환경은 유비쿼터스 네트워크를 기반으로 고도화될(T-learning 및 U-learning) 것으로 예측된다. 학습자가 요구하는 멀티미디어 학습객체를 유비쿼터스 네트워크 환경에서 쉽게 찾아 학습자에게 효율적으로 전달하기 위해서는 메타데이터 관리 시스템의 도움이 필요하다. 이를 위해서는 멀티미디어 학습객체의 특성을 정확하게 기술하는 메타데이터 모델이 필요하고 효율적인 메타데이터 관리 시스템의 개발이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 멀티미디어 학습객체를 위한 새로운 메타데이터 모델을 제안하고, 효율적인 메타데이터 관리를 위한 새로운 시스템을 설계하였다.

완전 입체 3차원 영상을 구현할 수 있는 디지털 홀로그래픽 디스플레이에서 테이블위에 실제 물체가 있는 것과 같이 수평 방향 360도 전 영역에서 홀로그램을 볼 수 있도록 하기 위해서는, 홀로그램 영상을 수십 KHz정도의 프레임률로 시공간 다중화하여야 하며 동영상 재현을 위해서는 스트리밍 방식의 고속 대용량 홀로그램 데이터의 전송이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 이를 위하여 홀로그램 데이터를 저장할 수 있는 스트리밍 서버를 구축하였고 서버내의 비디오 플레이어에서는 사전 정의된 데이터 포맷에 맞추어 제작된 CGH 데이터를 고속으로 전송하고, 설계 제작된 인터페이스 보드를 통하여 데이터를 수신하여 실시간으로 컬러 홀로그램을 재현하는 기능을 구현하였다.

4차 산업혁명을 맞이해 최근 산업 및 기술 영역에서는 인공지능을 이용한 생산력 향상, 자동화 등 딥러닝의 보편화가 빠르게 진행되고 있다. 또한, 딥러닝의 성능을 도출하기 위해서는 수많은 양의 학습용 데이터가 필요하며 그 데이터의 양은 딥러닝 모델의 성능과 정비례한다. 이에 본 작품은 최신형 영상처리 Library인 Albumentations를 이용하여 영상처리 알고리즘을 이용하여 이미지를 증강하고, 이미지 데이터 크롤링 기능을 통해 Web에서 영상 데이터를 수집을 자동화하며, Label Pix를 연동하여 수집한 데이터를 라벨링 한다. 더 나아가 라벨링 된 데이터의 증강까지 포함하여 다양한 증강 자동화를 한 인터페이스에 집적시켜 딥러닝 모델을 생성할 때 데이터 수집과 전처리를 수월하게 한다. 또한, Neural Net 기반의 AdaIN Transfer를 이용하여 이미지를 개별적으로 학습하지 않고 Real time으로 이미지의 스타일을 옮겨올 수 있도록 하여 그림 데이터의 부족 현상을 해결한다.

인터넷 미디어, OTT, VOD 등 신규미디어가 비장애인의 정보제공 매체로 널리 확대되나, 자막 서비스를 제공하지 않아 청각장애인의 정보 격차가 더욱 심화되고 있다. 청각장애인의 미디어 접근성 제고를 위해 음성인식 서버 및 스마트 폰·태블릿 앱 간 연계를 통해 음성을 인식하여 자동으로 자막을 생성하고 표시하는 음성-자막 자동 변환 시스템을 개발하였고 음성인식률을 높이기 위해 뉴스/시사/다큐 장르 영상 콘텐츠의 음성에 대해 학습용 데이터를 제작하여 음성인식 성능을 고도화 시켰다. 본 논문에서는 청각장애인을 위한 음성-자막 자동 변환시스템 구성과 음성인식률 비교 평가 결과를 보여준다.

Since the increasing use of smart devices such as smartphone and tablet PC improves the quality of convergence of broadcasting and telecommunication, many new media have been created. This smart device can provide personal environments based on user's profile (age, gender, and job) and current location. In addition, it can be regarded as a media platform with two-way communication. This paper proposes personalized message syndication, called PMS, based on smart devices and then analyzes its business and technical issues. The PMS service as a smart media provides consumers customized information and can be used for producer's marketing tools which can lead consumers' heart and participation.

Communication of art and the expansion of roles are some of the important discourses of art. For a while, many attempts were made to overcome the enjoyment of art by only a few elites and the alienation of roles. In the meanwhile, due to its formative nature, media art has contributed to the various expansion of roles as a familiar art in society and by communicating with the public in various play contents and industrial context. This study will take a step further and examined whether media art can assess and be used in social issues through the characteristic analysis of 'media art information visualization.' The general field of information visualization only focuses on the clarity of information delivery, so it is effective for intuitively identifying various information. However, stiff visual expression must improve user-friendly functions in an era in which users' sensibility is increasing, and it only focuses on the effectiveness of information delivery that its secondary social problem such as personal information protection must be compensated. Thus, this research analyze the characteristics of case works to examine how the visualization of media art information can approach social problems creatively, seek the expansion of the role of art and compensate the areas that general information visualization is missing.

This article presents a historical account of media role in the transition and consolidation period of democracy. Despite the assumption that media plays a important role in the construction of democracy, it is less clear how the media can affect the process of political change itself. This article seeks to answer some of these question, based on the Mill's macro-social comparative 'method of difference' of Korea and Spain. It is widely agreed that both states achieve democracy through transaction from above(pacts). Media role, however, differs significantly in accordance with authoritarian legacies and civic representativeness of the pacts. Whereas Korean dailies is deepening given market oligopoly and prior practices after democratization, Spain dailies market entirely changed in both structural and spiritual respects. As a result, Korean dailies substantially lacks in civic representativeness as before, contrary to Spain. Spain television settled a sort of the external pluralism. Korean television is pursuing the BBC type of internal pluralism. In Korea, television is more commercial than Spain. Consequently, Spain media serve the consolidation of democracy more than Korea on the whole.

본 논문에서는 MPEG-21 에서 정의한 디지털아이템의 파일 포맷의 구조 및 방법을 멀티미디어 파일 포맷으로 제안하였다. 제안한 방법은 디지털아이템을 이진화하는 방법 및 기능, XML로 구성된 디지털아이템 선언(Digital Item Declaration)에서 미디어 리소스를 참조하는 방법 등이다. 제안한 멀티미디어 파일 포맷은 디지털방송, 무선통신, 인터넷 환경에서의 다양한 형태의 컨텐츠들을 효과적이고 체계적으로 조합할 수 있는 기능 및 효과적인 전송 기능을 제공하며, 향후 xml 기반 메타데이터와 미디어리소스를 포함하는 멀티미디어 컨텐츠의 파일 포맷에 대한 참고 모델로서 사용될 수 있다.

XML은 HTML 의 단순성과 SGML의 복잡성을 동시에 극복하기 위한 노력으로 시작되어 인터넷 문서표현과 관련된 여러 분야에서 활발하게 연구되고 있다. SMIL은 멀티미디어 데이터를 XML 기반으로 표현하는 언어로서, 아직은 웹 브라우저 차원에서 지원해주는 브라우저가 많지 않지만, 다양한 멀티미디어 데이터를 동기화 시켜 표현하는 SMIL 의기능으로 볼 때 멀티미디어 데이터의 표현과 전송에 사용되는 중요한 표준으로 자리잡을 것으로 예상된다. 이 논문에서는 이러한 SMIL를 사용하여 멀티미디어 데이터를 편집할 때, 구축된 SMIl 문서의 실행결과를 미리 확인하고 이를 다시 SMIl 문서 편집에 적용할수 있도록 , 실시간 실행 기능이 포함된 텍스트 기반 SMIL 문서편집기를 설계 및 구현하였다.
