We report Polygonum plebeium R.Br. (Polygonaceae) as an unrecorded species from the Geumgang River, Buyeo-gun; Galmae-dong, Guri-si; the Chungju Reservoir, Jecheon-si; the Daecheong Reservoir, Okcheon-gun; and the Daecheong Reservoir, Daejeon, in Korea. It is distinguished from P. aviculare by pedicels that articulate in the middle and by its smooth and shiny achenes. The new Korean name, 'Ae-Gi-Ma-Di-Pul', is given considering the small-sized plant. In this study, a description and illustrations of the species and photos of the habitat are provided.
During the systematic study of the genus Bidens L. (Asteraceae) in Korea, we found two specimens collected from Bujeon Plateau, Hamgyungnam-do, which are recognized as a new taxon (B. radiata Thill. var. radiata) for the flora of Korea. The Korean name for this taxon is newly designated as 'Sam-ip-gu-wa-ga-mak-sa-ri'. The close relative of this taxon is B. radiata Thill. var. pinnatifida (Turcz. ex DC.) Kitam., but B. radiata var. radiata can be distinguished from B. radiata var. pinnatifida by having mostly 3-parted and lanceolate lobe of leaf. The key for varieties of B. radiata is given.
Scirpus L. s.l. of Cyperaceae has been regarded as a monophyletic group, but the taxa of Scirpus s.l. were rearranged into the five independent genera in recent molecular phylogenetic research: Bolboschoenus (Asch.) Palla, Schoenoplectus (Rchb.) Palla, Schoenoplectiella Lye, Scirpus L., and Trichophorum Pers. In this study, we examined the morphological characteristics and presented the delineation of the five genera of Scirpus s.l., including 21 taxa from South Korea. As a result of our investigation and analysis of domestic collections and those from abroad, the each taxon could be identified using key characteristics of the rhizome features; a cross-section of culm; the degree of development and the width of leaves; the shapes of the membranous region of leaf sheath; and the shapes and size of inflorescence, bract, floral scale, and achene. These major characteristics are illustrated and artificial keys are suggested in this study. In addition, we suggest a new combination for an unrecorded taxon of Schoenoplectiella that was discovered in Gangwon-do, Goseong-gun and give it the Korean name, as 'a-do-song-i-go-raeng-i'.
We report a unrecorded species, Da-do-sae-u-nan-cho (Calanthe ${\times}$ kibanakirishima F. Maek). It was discovered on Heuksan Island in Jeollanam Province. The species differs from C. aristulifera in the corolla color and the short, wide spur. It is also easily distinguished from the other species of Calanthe by the simple trichomes on the abaxial surface of its leaves and spur.
Here we report a previously unrecorded species of Korean Myriophyllum L. (Haloragaceae). This taxon, M. oguraense Miki has been regarded as a Japanese endemic for some 60 years. Myriophyllum oguraense and its closely related M. verticillatum L. share the characteristic of having pectinate emergent leaves that are similar in shape to, but much smaller than, the submerged leaves. However, the primary characteristic that differentiates these taxa is the turion shape (club shaped in M. verticillatum and linear in M. oguraense). The common name, 'Gin-dong-a-mul-su-sae-mi' was also newly given considering its characteristic turion shape. Photographs and a key to Korean Myriophyllum species are provided in addition to complete descriptions including information on nomenclatural types, distributions and specimens examined.

Two naturalized species, Carduus natans L. and Lepidium latifolium L. were newly reported from Korea. Carduus natans, "Sa-hyang-ung-gung-kwi", was found from Nanjido, Seoul, and Yangsuri and Naejangri, Gyunggi-do. It is distinguished from widely naturalized C. crispus by having large nodding heads (30-60mm in diameter) and acuminate lanceolate involucral bracts. Lepidium latifolium, "Keun-ki-da-dag-naeng-i", was found from Noeul Park, Nanjido, Seoul. It is distinguished from the related species by having tall height (about 1 m), subsessile upper leaves, pinnately lobed lower leaves, and corymbose inflorescence.

Two unrecorded naturalized species, Lolium rigidum Gaudin (Poaceae) and Oenothera rosea L'H$\acute{e}$r. ex Aiton (Onagraceae) were newly reported in Korea. L. rigidum, 'Daeng-Dol-Bo-Ri', was found at roadside of Yesong beach, Yesong-ri, Bogil-myeon, and roadside of Myeongsasimni beach, Sin-ri, Sinji-myeon, in Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do. It was distinguished from L. mutiflorum Lam by spikelet 10-20 mm long, florets 2-10(-13), and obtuse lemma, awn absent or up to 3-8(-10) mm. O. rosea, 'Ae-Ki-Bun-Hong-Nat-Dal-Mat-I-Kkot', was found in side of Wondong wetland, Yongdang-ri, Wondong-myeon, Yangsan-si, Gyeongsangnam-do. This taxon was distinguishable from other Oenothera in Korea by following combination of characters, stem erect to ascending, petal 5-12 mm long, pink to bright purple. Descriptions and illustrations of the two taxa and their photographs in the habitat are provided along with a key to the species of Lolium and Oenothera from Korea.
Elaeagnus pungens Thunb., belongs to the family Elaeagnaceae, was recently recorded for the first time in Mt. Miruk, Tongyeong-si, Gyeongsangnam-do. The native distribution range of this species includes China and Japan in East Asia, while it is considered as an invasive species in North America. Elaeagnus pungens is related to E. glabra, but the species can be distinguished from its congeners by having revolute and repand leaf blades, silvery white and brown scales on the abaxial surface of the leaf, and a campanulate calyx. We propose the new Korean name 'Tong-yeong-bol-re-na-mu,' based on its first collecting site. A detailed description of vegetative and floral characteristics, trichome scanning electron micrographs, dichotomous keys, and the habitat of this species are also provided.

Two newly naturalized species were recorded from Incheon (Youngjong-do) and Ulsan. Among them, Bidens polylepis S.F. Blake (Asteraceae) was widespread and was found in the following locations: Unbuk bridge, Unbuk-dong, Jung-gu in Incheon, and Chuiseosan, Banggi-ri, Samnam-myeon as well as a Saemmul mountain cabin on Jaeaksan, Sangbuk-myeon in Ulju-gun, Ulsan. Bidens polylepis can be distinguished from congeneric species by its larger ray-flowers. The Korean name of Bidens polylepis was newly formulated based on the characteristic of its yellow ray-flowers and on the Korean name of the genus Bidens (Asteraceae). The other species, numerous populations of Saponaria officinalis L. (Caryophyllaceae) were found in two areas in Jeotgae village, Unseo-dong, Jung-gu, Incheon. Saponaria officinalis can be distinguished from congeneric species in the family by two features, shallow calyx teeth and a petal with appendages at the base of the blade.
A newly naturalized plant, Carex scoparia Schkuhr ex Willd. var. scoparia, was found in Mt. Hanseok, Injegun, Gangwon-do, Korea. It belongs to sect. Ovales Kunth and had been known from North America, and was introduced into Europe and New Zealand. This species distinguished from related taxa in Asia, Carex maackii Maxim. and Carex leporina L., by pistillate scales lanceolate and having large perigynia. We propose the new Korean name, 'Han-seok-sa-cho', based on its first collecting place. We also provide descriptions for morphological characters, illustrations, photographs and keys to allied taxa.
