  • 초음파센서는 저렴성, 단순한 구조, 기계적 강인성, 사용상의 적은 제약 등의 이점 때문에 다양한 응용분야에 적용된다. 물체의 인식에 초음파센서를 사용하기에는 낮은 분해능을 초래하는 불량한 방향성과 측정오류를 유발하는 반사성의 어려움을 내재하고 있다. 이런 문제를 개선하기 위해서 다양한 센사의 배열형태에서 많은 수의 센서를 사용하거나, 일정 수의 센서를 사용할 경우에는 센서의 배열을 기계적으로 이동시킨다. 본 논문에서는 물체의 패턴인식에 있어서 가장 기본적인 거리, 물체크기, 물체각도 값을 얻기 위해 간단하게 구성된 전자회로를 부가하여 초음파센서의 송출전압을 여러 단계로 변경시켜 얻어낸 데이터에 뉴로퍼지 기반의 지능적 계산 알고리즘을 적용하여 개선된 결과를 얻는다.

Detection of a Moving Object in the Mellin Transform (Mellin Transform에서의 물체 이동 검출)

  • The Mellin Transform is a well-known method to find out transformations between two overlapping images. This paper models a scene with an object moving with different velocities. Also, it analyzes the relationship of the detected correlation peak to the spectrum of the background and an object. Lastly, we investigate the optimal solution of the image registration parameters minimizing the effect of the noise from the Mellin Transform by applying the Wiener filter concept.

  • 본 논문은 물체 검출(Object Detection)과 물체영역분할(Object Segmentation)의 CNN 추론 결과를 MPEG-7 서술자 이진화를 통해 표현함으로써 원본과의 용량을 비교한다. 영상의 사용 목적에 따라 CNN 추론 결과를 압축하여 활용할 시 원본 영상 대비 용량을 측정하여 그 효율성을 판단하는 것이 목표이다. 물체 검출과 물체영역분할에 대한 추론 결과를 MPEG-7 서술자를 이용해 압축하였으며, 비교를 위해 원본 영상, CNN 추론 결과 파일, MPEG-7 서술자, MPEG-7 서술자 이진화 파일의 크기를 측정하였다. 실험 결과, MPEG-7 서술자를 이진화를 통한 표현 방식이 원본 영상 및 추론 결과 파일에 비해 효율적임을 알 수 있었다.

  • In paper, we propose a 3D polygonal mesh simplification technique based on vertex clustering. The proposed method differentiates the size of each cluster according to the local property of a 3D object. We determine the size of clusters by considering the normal vector of triangles and the vertex distribution. The subdivisions of cluster are represented by octree. In this paper, we use the Harsdorff distance between the original mesh and the simplified one as a meaningful error value. Because proposed method adaptively determine the size of cluster according to the local property of the mesh, it has smaller error as compared with the previous methods and represent the small regions on detail. Also it can generate a multiresolution model and selectively refine the local regions.

  • This paper describes principles and experimental results in conjunction with examining the possibility of the detection of effects from a cylindrical objects. Cylindrical objects have its own resonance frequency. The frequency varies according to the diameter, length etc. And acoustic sound, whose frequency and the harmonic components corresponding to resonance frequency, is radiated from the object. When an object have defect in itself, the radiated acoustic sound is different from normal one. So we can detect its defect by analysing frequency components of acoustic sound. We proved that detection of defective objects by acoustic signal analysis is possible automatically. Also the result can be applied to other kinds of objects.

  • 3차원 물체표현은 컴퓨터 비젼 분야에서 중요한 역할을 차지하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 체적 표현법의 일종인 부품기반의 superquadric 모델을 통하여 3차원 기계 부품 물체를 표현하는 기법을 제안하였다. 이러한 부품기반의 superquadric 모델은 크기, 이동, 회전, 그리고 변형 등의 유한개의 계수들만을 가지고 다양한 3차원 체적소의 형상 표현이 가능하다는 장점이 있다. 따라서, superquadric 형상복구 과정을 통해서 이들 superquadric 계수들을 추출함으로써 3차원 단일 체적소 표현이 가능하다. 이때, 형상복구 과정의 입력은 3차원 거리 데이터로, 형상복구 과정은 3차원 nfcp를 이루는 각 체적소에 속하는 거리 데이터들을 입력으로하는 적합도 측정함수의 최소 자승법(LSM)에 의해 이루어진다. 이후에 3차원 물체 각 체적소에 해당하는 superquadric 계수들을 얻는다. 결과적으로 3차원 전체 물체에 해당하는 superquadric 모델은 이들 각 체적소에 해당하는 계수들의 집합으로 표현된다. 컴퓨터에서 합성한 합성영상과 실제 거리영상에 대한 실험을 통해 제안한 방법의 유용성을 입증하였다.

  • This paper introduces an objects recognition algorithm based on SURF(Speeded Up Robust Features) and GP(Genetic Programming) based gaits generation. Combining both methods, a recognition based intelligent walking for quadruped robots is proposed. The gait of quadruped robots is generated by means of symbolic regression for each joint trajectories using GP. A position and size of target object are recognized by SURF which enables high speed feature extraction, and then the distance to the object is calculated. Experiments for objects recognition and autonomous walking for quadruped robots are executed for ODE based Webots simulation and real robot.

  • A series of images whose sized and resolutions differ by a constant factor are called an image pyramid. Because the images at high levels are small, large object can be detected on high levels of the pyramid at low cost, But in this way, the boundaries of objects are not accurately localized. Therefore the pyramid algorithms extracte the objects by segmentation the constructed image using bottom-up method and description it in an original resolution using inverse bottom-up method. In this paper, we can project an object down to the next lower level of the pyramid and apply to the boundary adjustment algorithm at that level to localize it more precisely. We repeat the process at successively lower levels. In this paper, we present a method of boundary adjustment using an image pyramid to obtain optimal boundary. The performance of the proposed algorithm is compared to those of the conventional method in term of subjective quality of object boundary.

  • In this paper, we proposed the right-angle stereo vision system to measure the object size using a human eyesight-like, and the system is reconstructed with conventional stereo vision system. In this proposed system, the size results of objects are measured very close to the real object size, and we got the ratios 93~103[%] for the real object sizes. Therefore, the suggested right-angle stereo vision system have a high possibilities to be applied to many industrial system parts and to be used for robot system, automatic system, and etc.

Optical system design for recognition of human iris (홍채인식용 광학계 설계)

  • An optical system for iris pattern recognition of the human eye is designed. The lens system is triplet type, and characterized to minimize longitudinal chromatic aberration and Petzval sum. The distance from object to image is 200 mm-300 mm and the effective focal length is 50 mm. Performance of the imaging system is assessed by calculating the ray-fan and spot diagram for Fraunhofer C, d and F line for object height 0 mm, 4 mm and 6 mm. Furthermore, MTFs are calculated. All of the spot sizes are less than 0.05 mm in diameter. The MTF values are higher than 0.5 in the spatial frequency range up to 20 lines/mm for all of the object heights. ights.
