The automotive supply chain is increasingly complex as automakers seek more profitable solutions with global out-sourcing and manufacturing strategies. In the automotive industry, using returnable plastic containers (RPCs) is very common for domestic operations, but for internationally, it has not been considered by many companies because of issues such as overall distance and difficulty of control. The results of this simulation can help to analyze the interactive and coherent behavior of packaging and supply chain systems. The data obtained from the model can be applied to make substantial decisions for choosing the most profitable packaging types, at the same time as it can lead to designing an optimum supply chain for RPCs used in international supply chains.

Northeast Asia where is an epicenter of the global financial crisis's conquest is traditional imbalanced region of oil production and consumption. In recent years, the region has been suffered by the shortage of oil storage and transportation facilities due to surging oil trading and necessity in strategic reserves. Therefore, since independent petroleum logistics with the storage facilities and oil trading hub is required to form efficient oil market in this region. In this study, we analyzed the efficiency of refinery facilities by country that is of importance in being a logistics hub in Northeast Asia by employing non-static and dynamic efficiency analysis, which are a part of DEA(Data Envelopment Analysis) and then policy implications have been drawn. The result illustrates Korea's is the highest country in terms of efficiency of oil refining facilities in Northeast Asia. It implies that Korea has strong position to be the oil hub in Northeast Asia.

This paper investigates the moderating effect of firm size on the relationship between environmental uncertainty and logistics information systems fit and performance, and suggests logistics strategies that would help to achieve goals. Based on our empirical research results, the findings of this paper can be summarized as follows: First, firms with higher levels of harmony between environmental uncertainty and logistics information systems fit featured significantly better logistics performance than firms with lower levels of fit. Second, logistical performance can be maximized based on the firm size and the harmonization between environmental uncertainty and logistics information systems. The results of this study will assist firms align and focus on improving competitive strategies for logistics systems.

스마트폰 기술이 항만물류 산업에도 혁신적 변화를 일으키고 있다. 2010년 국토해양부는 '유무선 통합 Smart-Port' 정책을 발표하고 스마트폰과 Wibro, 3G, Wifi 등 통신망을 이용한 항만물류서비스를 통하여 항만자동화와 효율성 제고를 꾀하겠다는 계획을 발표하고 실행에 박차를 가하고 있다. 국내 항만물류 분야에서는 국토해양부의 정책에 발맞추어 다양한 형태의 항만물류 모바일 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 국내 항만물류 분야에서 도입, 사용되고 있는 스마트폰을 이용한 모바일 애플리케이션 사례를 분석하고, 활성화방안을 제시하였다.

This paper classifies and defines the infrastructure factors required to performance various logistics activities in domestic logistics centers as base facility, logistics facility, logistics equipment and operation system. The classification of infrastructure factors in this research provide the standard to be able to identify which infrastructure influence on logistics activities directly or indirectly. Also, this paper reviews Korean industrial Standards('KS') related to logistics center and then suggests the reformation of KS reflected on the logistics activities and infrastructures with field-study(321 domestic centers) and advisory meeting1). This review and suggestion can increase the low awareness and use of KS. Lastly, this paper can contribute to increase the effective of logistics centers' plan and operation by providing the improvement direction of KS regarding to logistics centers.

Although many logistics companies are interested in project logistics, the existing research has been limited to the growth potential of project logistics market and the high barrier and importance of project logistics. This study analyzes using DEA the operational efficiency of forwarding companies registered in major overseas construction EPC companies and performing logistics services for overseas plant construction projects. For efficiency analysis, Super-SBM analysis and Malmquist analysis are used among DEA analysis techniques. As a result of the Super-SBM analysis, DMU 5 ranked first at 1.807. DMU 5 is more efficient than the other large corporations because it has the stable supply of its parent company H and the smallest input and output variables among the large corporations. As a result of Malmquist analysis, TCI, which is a technological development, showed a fluctuation while TECI showed a relatively stable variation. In addition, there is a difference in scale between major companies and small and medium sized companies. So, it is necessary to identify the efficiency improvement strategy for each group and apply it to the practical work.
