The concept of pilgrimage is a phenomenon that appears in almost every major religion. It is traditionally defined as religious travel to a sacred external place for spiritual purposes and introspection. However, there are many different relationships between pilgrimages and religious customs, including excursions through abstract dimensions and regular journeys such as annual holidays. Because modern pilgrimages are taken for a variety of reasons, they are not limited to faith-based historical locations. Thus, many scholars also perceive pilgrimages as an increasing part of the general industry of tourism. These journeys are now studied in a diverse range of fields (e.g., ethnography and tourism). In this way, pilgrimages have created a new market from an industrial perspective. This economic analysis has resulted in secular interest. Pilgrimages can now be taken by gil (walkways), which have gained tremendous popularity. Thus, religiosity and humanity as they are embraced through pilgrimages are now receiving outside influences. This study therefore is aimed at generating suggestions for developing the pilgrimage routes related to Kang Jeungsan (i.e., the Supreme God of Daesoon Jinrihoe). These proposed Jeungsan routes are not simply restricted to religious activities or nostalgia, nor are they exclusively concerned with encountering holiness. To realize this idea, it is necessary to reconsider the concept of a sacred space.
I have examined some beliefs in the Thunder God and their magico-ritual techniques in Korea from the perspective of Korean national religious history and have classified these types of beliefs. In several myths from ancient nations in Korea, the Thunder God was the Supreme being governing the Universe including the sky, earth, and water, and he justified political power transcendently. In the medieval period, the Thunder God who was called 'the Supreme God and Celestial Worthy of the Ninth Heaven Who Spreads the Sound of the Thunder Corresponding to Primordial Origin' was the object of Daoist ritual for rain. In the early Joseon period, people believed that the prehistoric stone tools known as thunder axes were the tools of the Thunder God, and thereby were imbued with medicinal power. In the late Joseon period, beliefs in the Thunder God developed in various ways such as the overcoming of wars and healing of diseases. Modern Korean national religions including Daesoon Jinrihoe reappropriated the Thunder God called 'the Supreme God and Celestial Worthy of the Ninth Heaven Who Spreads the Sound of the Thunder Corresponding to Primordial Origin' from the perspective of the Great Opening (Kaebyŏk) and the resolution of grievances (Haewon).

The researcher has examined about the infrastructure of geotourism industry as well as domestic and foreign literatures in order to see the future and present status of geotourism in our country. The researcher have concluded the followings after participating in the interpretive program of Taean haean(coastal) National Park, etc. which is thought to as having relatively well-prepared contents and education in addition to the active progress of the program especially. First, although the domestic infrastructure of geotourism is thought as relatively well-established, one needs to make up for the weak point that there are not enough editions of explanations related to land formation process and geological aspects. Second, the interpretive program operated by The Korea National Service Park needs to specialize what the program is all about, how it is operated, who is operating, and so on in order to bring subjects' characteristics into relief. Third, one needs to train the persons required to explain geomorphic landscape and geological features by establishing the new division of education of geomorphic landscape and geological features. Furthermore, one needs to set up a unit to take charge of geotourism within the central and local governments. Fourth, one needs to build the cooperative system of private-public-academic circles among private companies, government, and universities to promote the quality of interpretive program by close connections with related studies of geography and geology. Fifth, the vitalization of geotouriusm can make an enormous contribution to promote the nation's brand value and image by advertizing domestic beautiful landscapes of the nature in addition to creating new job markets. Thus, the financial support in the government level should be made. Sixth, one needs to dig out global resources of geotourism unique to us by developing the stories connecting with local cultures and histories.

This paper aims to examine how and why the role of Seoul National University has evolved through the formation of Seoul National University's entrepreneurial ecosystems (SNUEEs). To identify this, we used secondary data on SNU entrepreneurship and did in-depth interviews with 17 student entrepreneurs and supportive actors in the ecosystems. First, the university-industry cooperation policy and the first start-up boom in the late 1990s gave rise to the first generation of SNUEEs. They entered the second generation with the second start-up boom in 2010. The third generation emerged through the government's start-up support policy and the venture investment market revitalization in 2017. Second, SNUEEs have experienced transformations of the university's role from an 'ivory tower' to a 'feeder of knowledge and labor' and have become a 'hub of knowledge networks.' Third, hub institutions and organizations were established and supported by government policies, and networks of SNUEEs have been embedded in these hub institutions and organizations. SNUEEs as a hub university are evolving through the formation of a voluntary entrepreneurial culture by student entrepreneurs, the supportive policy at the university level, and the establishment of linkages with the region where the university is located.

Because the exhibition space in the virtual reality is another kind of reality, which exits in another level, it enables us free from time and physical space, so using the virtual reality will be an effective practice for overcoming cultural divide and managing museums. Especially, virtual reality could transform a fixed physical space into portable contents, so this characteristic would be useful and meaningful when applying the outreach program, which claimed to stand for 'museum out of museum' as following. First, it will give more opportunities of experiencing museums to many people because of freedom of physical space, one of the advantages virtual reality has. Second, people will experience and understand the contents under the context, rather than simply exposing information of artifacts one by one. Third, even people who are far from a museum can experience identical contents at the same time, so this synchronicity will enhance communications among people and the society. Fourth, it will provide rich contents to people by putting a variety of exhibitions into one VR device. Fifth, it will be useful for archiving the exhibition with minimizing the loss of contents. Sixth, VR will convert museum visitors from observers to operators. Finally, VR can expand the target audience of the outreach program and develop a variety of education programs. Because museums is a public organization for overcoming cultural divide and enhancing communication, they should adopt virtual reality, which enables to extend the exhibition space and provide more opportunities of experiencing museums.
The purpose of this study was to suggest an extensive and evolved conceptual model of community dance reflecting new tendencies, practice, and various values. For the purpose, efforts were made to categorize common properties based on various cases using qualitative data collection about 10 community dance specialists. The Practice of Community theory of Wenger(1991) has contributed to conceptualization including the new perspective on community dance, which has been the theoretical framework. Firstly, 'a community' as a basic premise is self-organizing, interactive, regional and creative. Secondly, 'practice' in community dance means openness, focused on participants, improvisation and nmind-body centering, value-oriented processes and connectivity with daily lives. Thirdly, 'social learning' can be interpreted within the framework of joint enterprise and domain, quality and status of dacne, and dance literacy embodied as a shared repertoire. Lastly, identity of community dance has been expanding the concept area as 'dance for all' reflecting ongoing properties and future-oriented values in that it pursues healing arts and relationship, amateurism collaborating with dance artists, combination of democratic citizenship and civic creativity, cultural diversity and social integration, and types of sustainable development.

As a new duty of universities, contributions to localities and regions are magnified as an important issue and overseas universities are creating it as the index to use self evaluations and public relations actively. The universities in Korea are expanding resources usage of university and proceeding various businesses to enhance co-operation with local government, civic groups and companies lately. However, it is still in an embryo. This study is aiming to analyze cases of foreign universities and the socio-economic impacts of university on the region and discover evaluation index based on the results to be applied to the universities in Korea. This study had considered the evaluation of local effect by the university conducted by the Higher Education Funding Council for England(HEFCE) which is the representative case to analyze the impacts of university on the region at the level of government and independent organizations. The applicable common index had been extracted for universities in Korea from case studies on University of Rochester in the US and University of Birmingham in the UK considered as a representative university in North America and Europe respectively which are publishing a white paper on local and regional impacts of the university by using various index. As a result, 24 items in six areas(economic influence, research, education, art & cultural services, regional development, and the field of university specialization) had been deducted as the evaluation index which represents the local and regional impacts of university. This index could be secured through holding materials of each university and 'Higher Education in KOREA' as university information disclosure service and it might be applied to the universities in Korea.
Confucianism and Buddhism were compatible in the period of Goryeo Dynasty. And then, the rulers worshiped Confucianism and repressed the religious activity of the Buddhist monk in the early years of the Joseon Dynasty. But King Sejong planed to bring reconciliation between Confucianism and Buddhism. Especially on the ceremonies of mourning and sacrificial rituals, he always performed the two religious style. The reason of sticking to his amicable consciousness is as follows. Firstly, he thinks that both the theory of Confucianism and the religious spirit of Buddhism are very important for the building up the foundation of his Dynasty. Secondly, his mind has been of a same faith cure on the incurable disease. Therefor, when the Royal family is taken ill he must pray to Buddha for recovery from the first stage. Thirdly, he regards social conditions to be the most important and respect for man's life and dignity for the purpose of beneficent administration. But Joseon's government line was the anti-Buddhist policy. So, the policy came in the wake of a debate among King Sejong and Confucian government officials. However his harmonious mind was unchanged between Confucianism and Buddhism. After all, in the last phase of his life he was deeply religious on Buddhism. I think that King Sejong's amicable consciousness could make a contribution to overcome religious conflicts and to create a new political cultural form in the modern society

The theme of "youth love film" is a strong point in the Korean film industry and has made remarkable achievements in the overseas market. Jae-young Kwak is a famous Korean film director and screenwriter. He is good at shooting "youth love film" with beautiful pictures, exquisite emotions and rich imagination. His films have unique charm and characteristics. This paper expounds the image style, characterization and theme. First of all, from the perspective of image style for this paper, analysis of the film is how to use different narratives and lens language to create a movie's atmosphere, makes the transfer of drunk the oriental beauty. Secondly, the main focus is on the director to find a new way to shape the characters in the film, and pay attention to the description of details, foreshadowing and explaining the plot. Thirdly, based on the theme, this paper analyzes the profound meaning behind romantic films, which reflect the yearning and pursuit of modern people, and people should pay attention to and think deeply. In the modern economic globalization, countries culture mutual exchanges and cooperation, South Korea many outstanding movie worth exploring and research, by studying the Jae-young director Kwak youth love films, excavate its popular film in the market of reason, analysis of the works reflect the aesthetic characteristics, which sums up the experience of the youth love film.
The purpose of this study is to analyze quantitatively and qualitatively the effects of the increase in online shopping and its effects on real-world commercial outlets. The empirical analysis of this study is based on the results of "Census on Establishments" and "Online Shopping Survey" that cover 15 years, from 2002 to 2016. According to the results of this study, the increase in the number of online transactions affects the decrease in the number of stores in the real-world retail sector. However, non-specialized large stores and chain convenience stores showed an increase in the number of stores. In addition, the number of F&B stores increased the most in line with the increase in online transactions. This is because the increase in online transactions and in internet users led to the use of more delivery applications and the introduction of popular places on blogs or through social media. Street-level rents for medium and large-sized locations increased. In other words, it is seen that the demand for differentiated real-world stores that provide a good user experience increases, even though online transactions also increase. These results suggest that real-world stores should provide good user experiences in their physical locations with a certain size and assortment of goods.
