충청타임즈 '임진왜란은 활자전쟁이었나' 취재팀은 현존 최고(最古) 금속활자본이자 유네스코 세계기록유산에 등재된 '직지'등 고려시대와 조선초 금속활자 인쇄술이 임진왜란을 통해 일본에 전래된 흔적을 찾아 집중 조명하기 위해 최근 일본 현지취재를 진행했다. 이에 본 지에서는 이번 일본 취재 팀장으로 활동한 한인섭 부장의 기고를 통해 한국이 일본의 인쇄문화에 미친 영향을 알아 본다.

'파주북소리 2013'이 지난 9월 28일부터 10월 6일까지 파주출판도시에서 열렸다. 올해로 3회를 맞은 파주북소리는 첫해는 축제의 정체성 확보, 지난해는 국제화가 목표였다면 올해는 탄탄한 토대 위에서 독자들과 함께 만들어가는 대중성의 신장에 집중했다. 대한인쇄문화협회와 청주고인쇄박물관도 파주북소리에 참가해 세계 최고의 금속활자본인 '직지'를 비롯한 고인쇄문화 체험 및 홍보활동을 펼쳤다.

어린이 도서연구회는 어린이를 도서 선택의 주체로 인식하고 국내 어린이 교육문화 운동을 실천하기 위해 설립된 단체다. 이곳에서는 어린이 책을 연구하고 좋은 책을 골라 권장하는 등 어린이 삶을 바르게 가꾸기 위한 활발한 활동을 펼쳐오고 있다. 본지에서는 제16회 간행물윤리상 시상식에서 독서진흥상을 수상한 부길만 어린이도서연구회 이사장(한국출판문화학회장, 동원대학 교학처장)을 만나 대담을 나누는 자리를 마련했다.

2014년도 인쇄업계는 극심한 경기 불황이 지속됐다. 대내외 악재까지 겹쳐 국내경제는 저성장의 덫에 깊이 빠져 들었고, 성숙기로 접어든 인쇄산업은 눈에 띄게 둔화된 활력에 미래에 대한 불확실성만 키웠다. 이 가운데 인쇄문화의 날 정부포상 훈격이 문화훈장으로 격상됐으며, 대외적으로도 국제 경쟁력 강화 활동이 활발히 이어졌다. 어두움과 환희가 교차했던 2014년 인쇄업계의 10대 뉴스를 살펴본다.

서울인쇄센터(이사장 남원호)는 서울시인쇄정보산업협동조합과 함께 '제6회 서울인쇄대상 및 인쇄문화축제'를 9월 15일부터 3일간 서울광장에서 개최했다. 서울특별시의 후원으로 진행된 이번 행사는 9월 15일 오후 2시 개막식과 서울인쇄대상 시상식을 시작으로 막을 올렸다. 개막식에는 인쇄문화홍보대사로 활동하고 있는 방송인 김미화씨의 사회로 신면호 서울시 경제진흥본부장, 권영진 국회의원, 최창식 중구청장, 김수한 중구의회의장, 김남수 대한인쇄문화협회장, 허철종 대한인쇄문화협회 전회장, 이충원 인쇄연합회 회장, 김진배 대한인쇄기술협회장, 고수곤 인쇄연구소 이사장등 내외빈이 참여했다.

본 연구는 2017년 이후 문화복합공간에서 이루어진 무용 프로그램에 관한 연구로 국내를 중심으로 진행하였다. 국내의 복합문화 공간중에 문화비축기지, 문화역 서울284, 인천아트플랫폼에서 이루어지는 무용 프로그램으로는 무용공연, 레지던시 프로그램, 행사프로그램이 있었다. 문화복합공간은 무용가들에게 작업 공간을 제공하고 있으며 앞으로도 무용가들이 다양한 네트워크를 형성하고 창작 활동을 할 수 있는 가능성을 제공할 것이다.

In the US, there are no governing bodies within the federal executive departments dedicated to the arts and cultural affairs. Direct government subsidies for the arts are relatively small compared to other countries with a comparable economy and standard of living. Nevertheless, the US produces artworks, artists, and arts groups, leading the world's arts and culture. Incorporating the concepts of network governance and shared governance, this paper examines the dynamic roles and interrelationships among various for-profit/nonprofit arts organizations, foundations, councils, service organizations, arts advocacy groups, and professional/amateur associations from the federal to local levels that compose the ecology of American arts and culture. Through our evaluation, we conclude that the local/state/federal arts agencies and arts organizations at various levels influence each other via the principle of subsidiarity and isomorphism, creating a unique cultural policy and arts-supporting system that correspond to the political and social structure and environment of the United States.

A near miss is an unplanned event that did not result in injury/illness, or property damage, but had potentials to do so. The importance of the near miss has been emphasized by many researchers and organizations. However, only a few studies have quantitatively approached the near miss from the viewpoint of safety culture. The purpose of this study is to investigate the current status of near miss reporting activities in manufacturing workplaces in Korea. It also aims to understand how the activities related with the safety culture and the occurrence of industrial accidents. To this end, a survey was conducted on manufacturing workplaces and the results were analyzed. As a result, there was a marked difference in the perception on near miss according to whether or not the near miss reporting activity was conducted. However, it was found that only 56% of the workplaces were carrying out the reporting activities. It was found that the number of near misses reported varied depending on the reward. Although no correlation could be found between whether or not the near miss reporting activities were carried out and the history of industrial accidents occurred, it was found that safety culture level was hier at the workplaces conducting the activities.

현대는 출판물의 홍수시대라고 한다. 쏟아져 나오는 학술정보를 가장 효과적이고 신속하게 수집 정리 검색 제공되는 일은 특히 발전도상국가에 있어서 가장 긴요한 활동이다. 보다 많고 넓은, 보다 빠르고 새로운 정보의 교환은 국가발전의 도구로서 요구되는 긴요한 사업인 것이다. 「한국과학기술정보쎈터」가 1961년에 유네스코 한국위원회와 정부의 보조로 한국의 과학기술 정보활동의 쎈터로서 발족하게 되어 활발한 활동을 하고 있다. 그리고 현대 당 쎈터가 젊고 유능한 전문직 사서들에 의하여 도큐멘테이션 방법에 의한 정보활동의 중추적 역할을 하고 있다. 그 기능을 소개하고자 한다.

This is a qualitative research study in which three families focused on scientific culture and conducted the process of forming a family fandom using ethnography. The ultimate goal of science education is the "cultivation of scientifically literate persons.", The researcher examines families who regularly participate in informal science educational programs, such as those offered by the National Marine Biodiversity Institute of Korea, to understand the cultural ans sociological significance of these activities as part of their daily routines. This study analyzes and summarizes the experiences of three families in different home environments as to the completion of the family fandom through the process of self-sustaining cultural practice formation through family education activities, and science activities. This study found that the process tword completion is more meaningful than the completion itself, in the context of science, culture, family and fandom. The findings of this study are as follows: 1) The process of forming a family fandom began with the individual purpose of each family member. 2) The process of fandom formation was created in an organic relationship through the interaction between parents and children, and the self-sustaining cultural practice strengthened the bond and expanded the consensus on scientific culture. 3) Parents and children together share scientific culture, and unique culture in the form of sharing in their own cultural life as becoming scientifically literate people. The self-sustaining cultural practice of selecting and enjoying these scientific activities is not simple consumption of popular culture, but the role of parents as cultural designers. This has conducted experiential consumption as "refined (or sophisticated) cultural consumers," and family leisure activities as meaning production of family members so it has social and cultural implications that can be developed into a scientific culture.
