The purpose essay, through overall theoretical studies and comparison analysis of a performing art situation, aims to search for the creation and direction of various performing arts and examined the prospect and activation plans for performing arts of the future. The summary of the main contents deducted from this research was as follows. First, branding through unique competitive contents was found only in Northern Gyeonggi-do. Secondly, excellent performing art human resource supply from the locality is an urgent priority. Thirdly, by propelling diversification of performing programs, the performing art consuming activation movement that induces people to participate in the performances was actively developed. Fourthly, the most important thing for the ultimate goal achievement of art policy is excellent human resource development through professional education in each field of art.

In modern society, efforts to improve quality of life and happiness are emphasized compared to the past when economic growth was emphasized. The government has been implementing various policies to realize the happiness of the people through culture. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of Cultural Arts on the improvement of the happiness index of Seoul citizens by dividing them into demand (enjoyment) and supply side by setting Cultural Arts as independent variable, unlike existing limited surveys or literature surveys, under the control of change, the temporal range was set for more than 10 years and then analyzed quantitatively by panel analysis. The results showed that the demand for cultural arts affects positively on the improvement of happiness index of Seoul citizens, but the supply of cultural arts had a meaningless effect. In order to improve the happiness index of the citizens of Seoul through supply, it is necessary to supplement the existing space and to promote cultural demand through differentiated cultural arts programs aimed at diverse classes but also the policy implication that cultural indifference groups and active participation of cultural underprivileged groups should be increased.

The purpose of this study tries to show the effectiveness of integrated theater education for low-grade students who lack social skills with the direction of art education based on 'theatrical and educational theater' and 'theater therapy' in the revised curriculum in 2015. To do this, the researcher organized a theater camp organized by the social, cultural and arts education institute in Seoul for a total of 12 low-grade elementary school students for four weeks, and had a presentation session. In addition, the researcher observed the behavioral changes of the participating children to verify the social development of the theater education and after the conclusion, the final results were obtained through the in-depth interviews of the participants' parents and teachers. As a result, it was found that Social Skills Rating System(SSRS)' test, teachers' observation logs, interviews, and responses of participating children, which are the main subjects of this activity, had a great effect on improving their sociality and relationship. Therefore, the researcher tried to prove through this paper that theater education is effective in enhancing social skills as creative, personality and convergence education in preparation for the 4th industrial era and that it is important to solve communication problems such as the absence of human relationships.

Notwithstanding various discourses among scholars on the unique characteristics of comics, in Korea there is nevertheless a scarcity of quality research on the subject. Therefore, to promote quality research, it is important to consider how to best use source materials in the field of comics scholarship. Source materials can generally be categorized into three types: pre-existing comics, scholar-generated comics and user-generated comics. For this study, user-generated comics are the primary source materials, specifically comics created by mothers of children with disabilities. It is intended that this research will contribute to the future direction of education for mothers who suffer from a relative sense of alienation as the primary caregivers of children with special needs. Although therapeutic arts and cultural programs make a tremendous difference in the lives of these mothers, teaching methodology and educational opportunities are extremely limited. Furthermore, existing scholarship focuses primarily on either the psychological transformation of the individual or a phenomenological approach for parents to understand and deal with the problematic behavior of children with disabilities. However, this research does little to help improve learning programs for these parents. Against this backdrop, this research sets out to consider the potentiality and effectiveness of using comics in the education of mothers of children with disabilities. These mothers, by creating comics, develop better awareness of themselves in a positive and enriching way. It is therefore hoped that this research provides a useful analysis for developing the potentiality and effectiveness of these programs.

In this study, we suggest a policy for setting the direction of Jeju Music Education with implications from the process of arranging philosophical theories related to music education and analyzing advanced cases. The philosophical theories of music education were examined by Schiller, Steiner, Dewey, Bourdieu, Reimer, and Elliotts. In addition, this study checked the lessons in music education programs in Germany, Venezuela, and Finland, and we make policy suggestions in four contexts to set the direction of music education in the Jeju community based on interviews with 10 experts. Suggestions for improving social awareness of music education, suggestions for music education in the elementary and secondary public school sectors, in the proposals for music education in the lifelong education sector, and the suggestions for institutional policy all included music education professionals recruited from among the culture and art sectors within the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province's Cultural Policy Division. Music advisors were also recruited from the music and sector music councils within the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Council.

As a way of art marketing, a company provides diverse exhibitions, sponsors and education programs related to art in either a specific space of the company building or a separate place. It can be said that this example of art marketing is a kind of an image marketing and public welfare at the same time. This article presents the concept of culture marketing and current condition of company. s support for culture and arts. In addition, the article depicts the concept and classification of art marketing. Furthermore, through analysis of company exhibition space and programs, the article illustrates the features and typology of art galleries managed by companies.

With the cultural and educational functions of public libraries becoming revitalized according to social changes, there has been a development of reading cultural programs. This study researched the operating conditions of reading culture programs for elementary school students in public libraries in Suwon City for the past 5 years and presented the programs' drawbacks and improvement plans drawn from surveys on user satisfaction. An analysis of the survey results yielded the following suggestions for improvement: forming a consultative group with other managers of reading culture programs in Suwon's public libraries, promoting using various media, forming a human resource pool to hire professional instructors, operating of the educational programs for potential volunteers, expanding of the facilities for reading culture programs, and linking with the other folk culture and art organizations in order to develop classes folk culture and art organizations. The results of this paper will be used as a reference when operating conditions of reading culture programs for elementary school students in public libraries in Suwon City, and they will offer the opportunity to implement problems according to needs of participants.

The purpose of this study is to examine the perception of early childhood teachers on ecological art activities oriented to education for sustainable development. The research results are as follows. First, Early childhood teachers recognized the visual art of natural media, the pursuit of community values, and the participation and communication of social members as educational significance of ecological art activities. And difficulties in practicing ecological art were recognized as lack of educational environment, lack of ecological art teaching materials and specific examples, and teachers' lack of understanding of ecological art. Also, they recognized that ecological art activities foster core competencies in art experience area, such as nature-friendly communication skills, eco-friendly sensibility, and creative convergence skills. Second, regarding ecological art activities and sustainable development education, early childhood teachers considered the difficulties in practice as lack of awareness about sustainable development, lack of play meia and materials, lack of educational policies and support, and insufficient teacher training programs. Also, regarding the SDGs that can be practiced in ecological art activities, teachers were found to be highly aware of 'grow affordable and clean energy', 'improve clean water and sanitation', 'provide quality education' in the order. In the contents of education for sustainable development that can be practiced in ecological art activities, teachers are given the order of 'climate change response', 'clean energy', 'water and sanitation', 'quality education', 'health and well-being' and 'marine ecosystem'. was highly recognized. If an ecological art activity program is developed, the rate of responding that it will be used is high, so it is considered that the development of an ESD-oriented ecological art activity program is urgent.

The research was conducted to investigate the effect of drama education on the empathy and prosocial behavior abilities of middle school students. A total of 45 students participated in this study. Data were obtained through the use of the IRI(Interpersonal Reactivity Index) and the prosocial behavior scales. Those scales were administered to the group of students as a pre-test. Then, drama education was provided for 14 weeks for the group. The same scale was applied again to the group as a post test once the drama education was completed. The t-test on the differences between pre- and post test scores was used to analyze the effects of the program. The results showed that drama education had a statistically significant effect on the empathy and prosocial behavior abilities of students in the group. Finally, this study suggested implications for future performance arts education programs.

The purposes of this study were to review the necessity and establish the direction of verbally gifted education. To fulfil purposes, the following studies were carried out: (1) The necessity of verbally gifted education was reviewed based on the social, educational and personal aspect. (2) The concept of verbal talent was reviewed. According to the research of verbal talent, we called a person who has a high level of language intelligence a verbal talent. Or verbal talent can also be a person who accomplished a high level in anyone area among reading, writing, hearing, speaking, and foreign language. (3) The present condition and research states of verbally gifted education were analyzed. (4) The direction of verbally gifted education were proposed.
