This study aims to propose guideline for uniform title of legal works. To achieve this objective, this study (1) reviewed the uniform title and authority access points of legal works targeting RDA, NCR, KCR2 and KCR5, (2) analyzed the actual application methods by investigating the guideline and bibliographic data for uniform title for legal works targeting LC, DNB, and university libraries, (3) examined the scope of application of uniform title in the bibliographic data of the National Library of Korea and suggested points to consider when developing guidelines for uniform title. Based on this, (4) a draft guideline for creating uniform title for legal works was formulated. The draft was revised after review by a librarian and consultation with experts, and then the final draft was proposed. The data were obtained through literature reviews and case studies, and additional data were obtained through e-mail interviews and expert advice.

데이터 웨어하우스는 기업의 통합된 데이터의 저장하는 곳이며, 대게는 상당한 규모를 가지고 있다. 또한, 데이터 웨어하우스는 일반적으로 다양한 종류의 데이터를 저장함으로 데이터 웨어하우스에 저장된 데이터는 의사결정 임무에 따라서는 그 질적, 적합성에 차이를 나타내고는 한다. 이러한 데이터 웨어하우스의 특성으로 인해서 때로는 데이터 웨어하우스의 데이터의 효용성이 기업의 의사결정을 지원하는데 있어 제한적일 수 있다. 정보 시스템의 문헌에는 데이터의 질이 의사결정 성과에 미치는 영향에 대해서 많이 알려져 있지 않다. 그래서, 본 연구는 contextual data(상황적 데이터)의 질과 업무의 복잡성이 의사결정 성과에 미치는 영향에 대해서 탐구해보고자 한다. Contextual data의 질과 업무의 복잡성이 의사결정의 성과에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위하여 웹을 기반으로 하는 데이터 웨어하우스를 이용하는 실험을 실행했다. 연구의 결과는 contextual data의 질이 의사결정의 성과에 영향을 미친다는 것을 통계적으로 보여주었다. 이러한 연구결과는 의사결정자의 의사결정 성과를 향상시키기 위해서는 데이터 웨어하우스의 contextual data의 질을 향상시켜야한다는 것을 제시하고 있다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze the feasibility of relocating and building the Wando-gun Library into a multicultural library. For this purpose, the results of policy and economic feasibility, including locational feasibility, related laws, high and related plans, and surveys were examined. As a result of the analysis, it was found that policy feasibility was secured and economic feasibility was insufficient, but it is judged that some of it was secured because the ripple effect was calculated by the occurrence of social benefits. The results of this study can be useful data to prepare for a project to promote the construction of a library as a multicultural space.

The purpose of this study is to examine users' perceived importance for service attributes and performance in research libraries, and further to suggest the improvement strategies for research libraries. The survey was conducted for the library users of 14 government-funded research institutes. The questionnaire for this research was developed from the standard LibQUAL+. Statistical analyses were conducted to identify the relationship between service quality and users' satisfaction, and the gap between perceived importance and performance by user groups. According to the result of statistical analyses, the priority of service improvement strategies of research libraries were suggested.

In response to the changing needs of users and library services, there is a need to develop a library information science curriculum that reflects such change and to foster competent librarians. Recent studies abroad have emphasized the need for librarians who can apply design thinking methods which is a problem-solving methodology that expansively explores various alternatives and derives results, in response to recent changes and problems occurring in libraries. In this study, in order to understand how design thinking methods can be taught and to understand the perceptions of the students and librarians involved in the course, a case study is conducted of a class that applied design thinking methods and students and librarians have been interviewed who had experience participating in the class. By reflecting on the needs of students and librarians', this study explored new directions of what forms courses can take for future librarians. Based on the results of the analysis, among the different characteristics of design thinking, the value of cooperation, problem-solving ability, flexibility and iteration of design characteristics was considered as the value of a class for LIS students and librarians where design thinking methods were applied. From the findings, the research suggests future directions of creating more structured courses that involve an element of design thinking.

As libraries strive to improve their services, many have expressed interest in implementing new technologies. One such technology is metaverse, a virtual-reality space that enables social activities using avatars. However, implementing this technology can be challenging when many librarians are unfamiliar with the concept. This study aimed to investigate how librarians' prior experiences with metaverse influence their expectations and potential use of the technology in libraries. Interviews with a total of 18 librarians were conducted. The study findings reveal that librarians had different conceptualizations of metaverse, regardless of prior experience. However, librarians had different thoughts on the potential use of metaverse for libraries dependent on prior experience. Regarding thoughts on potential use, the librarians who had non-experience running metaverse programs suggested ideas in expanding and trying out new services within metaverse. The librarians who had experience running metaverse programs, on the other hand, suggested focusing on transferring the existing services that are currently being provided in the library to metaverse.

This study aimed to discuss the utilization of a makerspace regarding 3D printers in a children's library by conducting co-design sessions targeting the end-users, children. To achieve this, a program utilizing a 3D printer was conducted for seven children at the Seoul Children's Library, followed by interviews with both the children and their parents. The results revealed several key findings: First, during the design sessions, participating children showed interest in the physical realization of ideas through the use of a 3D printer. Researchers adjusted their level of intervention based on each child's tendency, playing a supportive role. Second, children became aware of various limitations associated with 3D printers and public library makerspace. Third, the rapport between children and researchers positively influenced the design sessions, driven by the active communication of children. This study suggests a reevaluation of the value and necessity of library makerspace from the perspective of user autonomy and creativity and emphasizes the need to closely understand the end user's requirements in establishing operational strategies for library makerspace.

최근 수년간 모바일 상거래는 점점 더 많은 관심을 끌고 있다. 그것은 도달성과 이동성이라는 점에서 전자상거래에 비해 강점을 지니고 있어 모바일 상거래는 주목받는 이슈가 되었다. 모바일 상거래의 현황을 검토하고 미래를 조망한 문헌을 연구해 보는 것은 흥미로운 시도이다. 이 연구는 Varshney and Vetter(2002)와 Ngai and Gunasekaran(2007)가 제시한 분류기준을 참조하되 세부내용을 일부 수정하여 모바일 상거래의 이론과 연구, 모바일 상거래의 애플리케이션과 사례, 무선 사용자 인프라스트럭처, 모바일 미들웨어, 무선 네트워크 인프라스트럭처 등 5가지 대분류기준에 따라 선행연구들을 검토하였다. 여기에는 최근 부각되는 모바일러닝, 모바일라이브러리, M-CRM과 M-SCM 같은 주제도 포함하였다. 연구결과 많은 논문들이 모바일 상거래의 이론과 연구 그리고 모바일 상거래의 애플리케이션과 사례를 다루고 있었다. 그리고 모바일 상거래의 성공은 서로 다른 애플리케이션의 강점과 필요한 기술을 잘 수용한 결과라는 점을 보여주었다. 마지막으로 모바일 상거래의 현황과 미래 방향에 관한 함의를 기술하였다.

This study, based on the need for department of LIS education program that targets training of subject-special librarian, focuses on proving that such education can improve perception of subject-special librarian and strengthen career decision-making. This study is composed of two parts. First, this study investigates case studies about subject-special librarian cultivation. Second, this study includes a survey about subject-special librarian, improving understanding about subject-special librarian, and improving career decision-making which was carried out targeting students who take 'Medical Terms and MeSH', and 'Health & Medical Information Sources' courses. Results are as follows. First, most of the respondents felt the need for medical librarian and medical information services (88.7%), understood the role of medical librarian (92.5%), got to know more about the types and functions of medical information services (100%), and came to be more aware of the self-esteem a medical librarian feels as a professional. Second, relatively, the percentage of respondents who demonstrated the willingness to work at a medical library (45.3%) or work in the field of medical information services (26.4%) was noticeably low. Third, there were no statistical difference in whether the students took related courses or not, number of courses they took and difference in their school year, and in regard of the level of understanding of medical librarian and medical information services, those who took courses demonstrated higher understanding than did those who did not take those courses. Also, those who took the courses showed stronger willingness to work as a medical librarian. Fourthly, the curriculum carried out by the department of library and information service was effective in understanding medical librarian and medical information services, but makes students more cautious about deciding whether or not to start their career at a medical library. Lastly, it was recommended that there is a need to have the curriculum updated in order to help students overcome the difficulty and unfamiliarity they feel about medical subject.

This study focuses on two analysis: direct cognition of effectiveness of internship practicum, difference of career attitude maturity. The purpose of this experimental case study is to find out the practical problems of Internship education as a field-study of LIS by applying Job-Shadowing Internship methods. The results reveal that 71% of interns responded the positive effects of Job-Shadowing, but the effects to the career attitude maturity was not statistically significant. The implications of the case study are as follows; (1) systematic pre-instruction and orientation from the department are the critical factor of internship, (2) practicum guidelines(PEP), which is provided by the person in charge of tasks in internship institutions is the another important factor, and finally, (3) tools for measuring the effectiveness of internship is required for LIS practicum major course development.
