Effect of Problem-based Learning by the Type of Learning in Nursing Students in a Single University (일 대학 간호학생들의 학습유형 별 문제중심학습의 효과)

  • This study was a one-group pre-post test design experimental investigation conducted to evaluate the effects of problem-based learning by type of learning in nursing students. The subjects of the study were 125 senior students in the Department of Nursing Science at a single university located in A. City, and the study was conducted for eight weeks from April 18 through June 10, 2016. Data analysis consisted of descriptive statistics, ANOVA, ${\chi}^2$-tests and t-tests. Most nursing students underwent converger type of learning, and after problem-based learning, their learning flow, problem-solving ability and critical thinking disposition increased significantly. In problem-based learning by type of learning, the problem-solving ability was significantly higher in the converger type than in the accommodator type, and there were no significant differences in learning flow and critical thinking disposition; however,in all types of learning, learning flow and critical thinking disposition increased. Since these results suggest that teaching and learning strategies should be set up for each type of learning, it is necessary to seek plans for teaching and learning strategies to make up for the weak points and strengthen the strong points by each type of learning when applying the problem-based learning method.

  • 온라인 음악 시장이 점차 커지고 있다. 이에 따라 사용자를 위한 다양한 서비스가 요구되고 있다. 하지만 현재 적용되는 서비스는 통계적인 수치에 기반하는 순위권 나열 혹은 테마나 장르별 음악 소개에 그치고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 사용자의 성향에 가까운 음악을 분석하고 이를 추천하는 방법을 제시한다. 음악 추천 시스템을 위해 우선 사용자의 성향을 분석하기 위하여 사용자가 청취했던 음악의 음파를 분석하여 특성을 추출하여 벡터로 나타낸다. 하지만 추출된 성향과 다른 음악의 성향을 비교해야 하는데 음악의 양이 방대하기 때문에 시간이 오래 걸릴 수 있다. 따라서 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 공간 분할을 통해 검색의 범위를 축소시키고, 음악을 빠르게 추천한다. 실험 결과, 사람의 주관적인 해석이 아닌 음파의 해석을 통해 보다 객관적이고 자동화된 추천 방법을 구현할 수 있었다. 그리고 같은 성질의 음악이 추천되어짐을 확인할 수 있었다.

The Relation between Gender and Multiple Intelligence and Technological Problem Solving Ability of Middle School Students (중학생들의 성별에 따른 다중지능과 기술적 문제해결력과의 관계)

  • This study investigated what effects multiple intelligence, through which the diverse intelligence abilities of a learner are identified, has on technological problem solving ability according to sex. And it was carried out to present a way to reduce the gap between boys and girls in technological problem solving ability. The subject was 833 middle school students in the third grade (boys: 423, girls: 410) whose schools are located in a megalopolis or more large area. And the instruments developed by Yong-Lyn Moon(2001) and in CRESST(1998) were used. The results of this study are as follows. First, it appeared that there were statistically meaningful differences at six items in multiple intelligence between boys and girls. The six items were bodily-kinesthetic intelligence, logical-mathematical intelligence, naturalistic intelligence, musical intelligence, interpersonal intelligence, and introspective intelligence. Second, in technological problem solving ability, it appeared that boys and girls showed statistically meaningful differences at self-regulation and problem solving strategy. Third, it appeared that logical-mathematical intelligence, linguistic intelligence, introspective intelligence, and natural intelligence had an effect on boys in the way of self-regulation and logic-mathematical intelligence, introspective intelligence, naturalistic intelligence, and linguistic intelligence did on girls. Fourth, it appeared that logical-mathematical intelligence, musical intelligence, and bodily-kinesthetic intelligence had an effect on boys in the way of problem solving ability and linguistic intelligence and musical intelligence had on girls. Fifth, it appeared that logical-mathematical intelligence did an effect on both sexes in drawing up the understanding of contents. On the basis of the results of this study, the area related to multiple intelligence directly or indirectly should be developed in the course of designing the primary and secondary curriculums to reduce the gap between boys and girls in multiple intelligence. With these efforts, the scholastic attainments gap caused by the difference of multiple intelligence will be overcome.

Gender and Abstract Thinking Disposition Difference Analyses of Visual Diagram Structuring for Computational Thinking Ability (컴퓨팅 사고력을 위한 시각적 다이어그램 구조화의 성별 및 추상적 사고 성향 차이 분석)

  • One major change in the 2015 revised national curriculum is that computational thinking ability is becoming an essential competency for students. Computational thinking is divided into abstraction, automation, and creative convergence in the curriculum for secondary schools' Information subject. And, the curriculum contains problem solving and programming area. Among the components of computational thinking, data representation emphasizes the ability to structure data and information for problem solving of learners. Pre-service teachers of Information subject at secondary schools also learn how to structure information through diagramming. There are differences in the ability to structure diagrams among students, but the studies on learning methods that help students develop their structuring abilities have rarely been performed. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the differences of abstract thinking disposition and gender perspective among college students. As a result, female students had more concrete thinking disposition than male students. Also, there were gender differences according to the characteristics of diagrams. Differences in abstract thinking disposition also made a difference in structuring diagrams. It is useful for achieving the education purpose of improving computational thinking ability by finding out the differences in thinking tendency between males and females and finding the education method that can complement them.

Influence of Self Efficacy, Learning Motivation, and Self-Directed Learning on Problem-Solving Ability in Nursing Students (간호학생의 학업적 자기효능감, 학습동기 및 자기주도적 학습태도가 문제해결능력에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to investigate academic self-efficacy, learning motivation, and self-directed learning which influence problem-solving ability in nursing students. A total of 217 third year students were recruited from two nursing colleges in Gwangju. Structured questionnaire was self-administered from March 2 to 31, 2012. In academic self-efficacy, there were significant differences in gender, high school type, character. Problem-solving ability showed statistically significant differences in curriculum usability after graduation. In multiple regression analysis, self-efficacy, learning motivation and self-directed learning were significant factors of problem-solving ability explaining 37.3% of the variables. In conclusion, self-efficacy, learning motivation, and self-directed learning had a positive effect on problem-solving ability in nursing students. To enhance problem-solving ability for nursing students, it is necessary to develop teaching program and curriculum for increasing academic self-efficacy, learning motivation, and self-directed learning.

Effects of Problem Based Learning on Critical Thinking Disposition and Problem Solving Process of Nursing Students (문제중심학습이 간호학생의 비판적 사고성향과 문제해결과정에 미치는 효과)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the change of critical thinking disposition and problem solving process in students who experienced problem-based learning. Method: This research design was one group pre-post test design. Twenty-five nursing students who participated in ‘'Nursing Process' course with two PBL packages for a semester in 2004 were the subjects of this study. The data were analyzed by repeated measures of ANOVA, and content analysis. Result: The problem defining in problem solving process was improved significantly, but there was no significant difference in the critical thinking disposition. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that PBL has a positive effect on nursing students' problem solving process, But for a more significant effect on a continuous base for critical thinking of nursing students, faculties should use web based and simulation-based education for self directed learning along with clinical situation-based scenarios.

A Study on the Effectiveness of Teaching and Learning Strategies for Flipped Learning in College Education (전문대학에서 플립드 러닝 교수학습전략 효과성 검증)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of educational evaluation with the application of flipped learning on undergraduate students' self-directed learning ability (cognitive domains, motive domains, conductive domains) and cognitive learning competency (knowledge and thought, creation, problem solving). An educational evaluation class, which applied flipped learning designed on the basis of pre-class, in-class, and post-class, was taught to 57 undergraduate students for twelve of the sixteen weeks of a semester. It was held each week on Thursdays for two (Ed- I don't understand 'for two'). The study results showed that, applying the flipped learning educational education class for undergraduate students improved self-directed learning ability (motivation domains, behavior domains) and cognitive learning competence (higher order thinking, metacognition, creativity tendency, problem-solving process). This study provides meaningful suggestions on exploring instructional design and effective teaching and learning methods applied to flipped learning.

  • 컴퓨터 프로그래밍 과정에서 학생간의 수준 차는 반 전체의 성취도를 결정하는 중요 요인 중 하나다. 문제를 먼저 해결한 학생은 대기 시간이 낭비되고, 해결 하지 못한 학생은 추가 시간이 필요하다. 이는 예제 위주의 프로그래밍 교육에서는 더 심각하다. 성취도를 예측하는 선행적 기준이 있다면 학생간의 수준별 학습이 가능해 진다. 초기에 수집된 정보인 개인성향, MBTI 분석, 분당 코딩 량 데이터를 향후 필기 시험 점수와 비교 분석하여 성취도를 예측하는 방법을 제시한다.

  • 최근 우리 나라에서도 경영합리화와 생산성향상의 문제가 활발하게 논의되고 있고, 또한 이와 동시에 기업을 경영하는데 있어서 계획 및 관리의 필요성이 강조되고 있다. 이와 같이 기업환경의 급속한 구조 변화에 대비하여 본론에서는 생산성향상을 위한 가장 중요한 경영관리 기법중의 하나인 I.E(Industrial Engineering)에 대하여 소개하고저 한다. 본래 I.E는 그 수법이나 대상에 있어서 자연과학이나 사회과학분야에서 활용되고 있었으나 미국의 F.W.Tayler 박사가 이를 최초로 경영학적 측면에 도입, 적용하였다. 1890년대에 미국은 공업생산국으로서 산업근대화에로의 발전과정에서 경영자측은 기술이나 방법에의 개선에 의한 산출량 증가로서 노동자의 임금절하를 기도하고 있는 노동자측은 태업으로 임금문제를 해결하려고 하였다. 따라서 F.W.Taylor 는 산업발전에 최대의 장벽인 임금문제의 기술적인 해결에 주력하여 노사간의 분쟁을 $\ulcorner$성과급임금제도$\lrcorner$로서 조정하기 위해 $\ulcorner$과학적 관리법$\lrcorner$(The Scientific Management)을 체계화시키기 위한 일련의 작업에 착수하였다. 이외에도 테일러는 임금문제에 관련된 생산성 향상 문제까지도 연구발전시켜 생산계획$\cdot$공장관리$\cdot$작업조직$\cdot$자재관리$\cdot$공정관리 등의 전반적인 공장관리 문제를 해결하기 위하여 $\ulcorner$공장관리$\lrcorner$(Shop management)를 발표하여 I.E의 체계를 확립시키는 계기를 마련하였다. 이와 같이 I.E는 미국을 중심으로 발생한 것이지만 그간 우리나라에서도 도입 적용되어 발전되고 있음을 감안할 때 한국양회공업협회가 본기법에 대하여 관심을 갖고 일련의 조사활동을 시작한 것은 매우 의의있는 일이라 할 수 있다.

A Study on Technological Thinking Disposition of the Specialized and Meister High School Students (특성화 및 마이스터 고등학교 학생들의 기술적 사고성향 연구)

  • This study has been performed for the purpose of providing the basic pedagogical resources to the specialized and meister high school related educational settings in either constructing educational contents suitable for the students'technological thinking disposition or fortifying the disposition required for the students.. A tool of secured validity and reliability has been used to test technological thinking disposition for the specialized and Meister high school students. Followings are the major results of the survey analysis for the subjects. 1. Technological thinking disposition with the most component ratio for the specialized & meister high school was turned out to be Technological Operating Disposition(TOD). The second most was Technological Planning and Reflecting Disposition(TPRD). Technological Curiosity Disposition(TCD), Technological Problem Identifying and Resolving Disposition (TPIRD), Technological Analyzing Disposition(TAD), Technological Creativity and Expressing Disposition(TCED) were in sequence. 2. In comparing the technological disposition of specialized high school students with that of meister high school students, the statistical test showed no evidence for the difference between the two group. 3. Statistical comparison test for the gender difference in technological thinking disposition has also been performed for the students of specialized and meister high school. The result showed that the magnitude of difference between the component ratio of TCD and TPIRD for the boy students was bigger than that for the girl students. In the TPRD, the component ratio for the disposition of the girl students was bigger than that of the boy students on the other hand. 4. For the comparison test of the technological thinking disposition between boys and girls only for the specialized high school students, the results showed the same different component ratio results as the results of the test for the specialized and meister high school students. 5. For the gender difference of meister high school student for the technological thinking disposition, there was no statistical evidence supporting the difference.
