A Meta Analysis about Programming Education using Physical Computing (피지컬 컴퓨팅을 활용한 프로그래밍 교육의 효과에 대한 메타분석)

  • 2015개정 교육과정에서 학생들이 문제를 효과적으로 해결하는 방법이 중요하며 이를 키우기 위해 컴퓨팅 사고력이라는 방법으로 접근하고 있으며 이를 위해 정보교과는 2015개정 교육과정의 핵심 역량으로 지정하였다. 이에 컴퓨팅 사고력을 높이는 방법으로 프로그래밍 교육을 적용하고 있으며 보다 프로그래밍 교육의 효과를 높이기 위해 여러 방법을 적용하고 있으며 피지컬 컴퓨팅의 활용이 방법으로 제기되고 있어 관련연구들이 지속적으로 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 피지컬 컴퓨팅의 활용이 프로그래밍 교육에 긍정적인 역할을 수행하는가에 대한 문제를 해결하기 위해 관련 연구를 수집하여 메타분석을 진행하였다. 분석결과 피지컬 컴퓨팅을 활용한 프로그래밍 교육은 비교대상 대비 19.9%의 향상을 나타냈다.

Effects of simulation integrated problem based learning (Si-PBL) on Critical thinking, Problem solving, Learning motivation according to Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Personality Type -Pilot study (문제기반학습 연계의 시뮬레이션 교육이 MBTI 성격유형에 따라 비판적 사고, 문제해결능력, 학습동기에 미치는 효과 -모의 실험)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of simulation integrated with problem based learning in terms of critical thinking, problem solving, learning motivation according to Myers-Briggs type indicator(MBTI) personality type in advanced nursing course students. This study was a non-equivalent control posttest only design. Students were all enrolled in advanced nursing course which included 1) 6 weeks problem based learning 2) 5 weeks simulation integrated with PBL and debriefing. Total 19 students' data were collected and analyzed on SPSS win 21.0. The results showed students who have out patients working experience were significantly higher learning motivation(${\chi}^2=9.85$, p=.044), no experienced simulation were significantly higher critical thinking(${\chi}^2=4.44$, p=.035) and as temperament of MBTI, NT types were significantly higher on critical thinking(${\chi}^2=8.53$, p=.036). Students show various personality types and it might be impact on attitudes of learning and the results. Thus we need to understand their diversity and consider it to apply teaching methods on nursing education.

A Study On The Recognition of Elementary School Teachers′ Problem-solving Strategy (초등학교 현장 교사의 문제해결 전략의 인지도)

  • The purpose of this study is twofold: (i) to argue the importance of problem solving strategy in education and (m to propose an efficient way to use the problem-solving strategy, which is based on the survey to find out how well elementary school teachers recognize the importance of the strategy. Forty elementary school teachers participated in the survey. The result of the survey shows that they do not use various strategies when they solve problems. It also shows that the rate of wrong answers the teachers get when solving problems is pretty high because they adopt a wrong strategy. It is prerequisite that teachers recognize the importance of the strategy when solving problems and put into practice various strategies in order to help their students improve their problem-solving abilities.

  • TRIZ, the theory of inventive problem solving, is widely used not only in traditional engineering fields such as mechanical, electrical, and electronic engineering but also in IT field and generated good results. Therefore, recently many universities have opened TRIZ as a regular course. Especially, 40 inventive principles of TRIZ are not only creative thinking tools that beginners can learn relatively easily but also very effective problem solving tools, but it is not that easy to utilize it properly for solving real problems as you think. In order to use inventive principles as powerful tools for creative problem solving, it is important to educate learners to use it repeatedly through stimulating their interest about the inventive principles. So, in this paper, we introduce various inventive principles hidden in the cards that can be easily accessible in everyday life, and propose how to educate learners to evoke their interest in the inventive principles through making cards by utilizing the inventive principles.

  • The purpose in this paper is to provide the theoretical framework of characteristics of programming thinking processes in computational literacy education. That is, we developed the theoretical framework through analyzing novices' cognitive thinking processes, applied it to the real situation about computational literacy problem-solving processes and defined characteristics of the processes. For this purpose, we tried to analyze characteristics of programming thinking processes of novices by using think-aloud method. Also we developed the programming process code about novices' cognitive processes and programming processes, and analyzed the process that novice faced and overcame programming barriers by using qualitative research tool, Nvivo. As a result, we found what characteristics of programming problem-solving processes were and how novices used the thinking skill in the process. This study contributes to understand programming problem-solving processes and provides the criterion to analyze the processes scientifically.

대규모 공개 온라인수업 MOOC 기반의 앙트러프러너십 교육 활성화 방안 고찰 및 제언

  • 2010년 이후 대학을 중심으로 앙트러프러너십 교육의 중요성이 강조되면서, 그동안 창업과 기업가정신 관련 프로그램이 양적으로 급격하게 증가하여 왔다. 또한, 부처들이 모여 '대학창업교육 5개년 계획'을 수립하고 추진하며 그 확산은 더욱 빠르게 진행되었다. 하지만 현실은, 앙트러프러너십 전문교수자의 부족, 창업인프라 편중현상으로 인한 교육혜택의 지역편차 심화, 천편일률적이고 파편적인 교육커리큘럼, 그리고 빠른 변화의 스타트업 환경과 속도를 따라잡지 못하는 대학 내부체계 등 앙트러프러너십 교육의 전반적인 문제점이 심각하게 거론되고 있는 상황이다. 이러한 문제들의 해결을 위한 하나의 방편으로 온라인플랫폼을 바탕으로 하는 앙트러프러너십 교육의 질적향상과 양적확산을 통해 문제를 해결하려는 움직임이 일어나고 있다. 이미 해외에서는 대중을 대상으로 온라인플랫폼을 통한 대규모공개수업 MOOC(이하 '무크')가 확산되고 활발히 연구되고 있다. 온라인플랫폼 기반의 앙트러프러너십 교육 또한 비즈니스 범주에서 주요한 위치에 자리를 잡고 있으며, 효과성에도 좋은 결과를 내며 진행되고 있다. 본 논문의 목적은 대규모 개방 온라인교육 수업과정인 무크에 대한 정확한 개념과 구조적 배경의 이해를 통해, 무크 현상의 본질적 가치와 의미를 발견하고 앙트러프러너십 교육에의 적용방법과 기대효과에 대한 고찰을 하였다. 목적한 연구의 진행을 위해 질적연구방법론을 사용하여 최신문헌 검토 및 참여관찰, 심층면담, 이해당사자 인터뷰를 진행하였고, 근거이론을 기반으로 핵심키워드를 도출하여 연구의 전체적인 맥락을 구성하였다.

Effects of High-fidelity Simulation-based Education on Nursing Care for Patients with Acute Chest Pain (시뮬레이션을 활용한 급성 흉통환자간호 실습교육의 효과)

  • This study applies simulation-based education and care for acute myocardial infarction nursing students to investigate the effect of critical thinking, problem solving, and academic achievement of a single group before and after the raw experimental design. A total of 137 subjects were arbitration period September-October 2011, enforcement and arbitration were evaluated after simulation-based training six weeks total. Data analysis was performed using SPSS Win17.0, Paired t-test, the mean and standard deviation, Pearson's correlation coefficient was used. Research results of simulation-based training program to improve critical thinking, problem solving, and academic achievement were As increase critical thinking and problem solving ability was improved. whereas, Critical thinking skills and problem solving ability was no significant difference with academic achievement. Simulation-based training program to improve the practical skills of nursing students learning was found how useful it, that there is a need to take advantage of hands-on training in a variety of cases that can be common in the field of clinical scenarios developed by. To do this, It seems to be necessary to the development and operation more varied and appropriate hands-on training method.

The Analysis of the 5th Graders' Responses on Problem Posing (초등학교 5학년 학생들의 문제 만들기)

  • The purpose of the research is to offering an implication about problem posing instruction for improving problem solving ability through 5th grade elementary school students' responses on problem posing. For the purpose a survey was implemented to 281 students at Busan urban area. There was a difference between the students' completeness in terms of problem posing types. They tended to make more simple problems linguistically rather than complicated problems and made problems for the equation easily. At first for the problem posing, students need to be taught to learn for making appropriate problems about an equation.

Aspects of Meta-affect in Problem-Solving Process of Mathematically Gifted Children (수학 영재아의 문제해결 과정에 나타나는 메타정의의 특성)

  • According to previous studies, it shows that the metacognitive ability that makes the positive element of the problem solver positively affects the problem-solving process of mathematics. In order to accurately grasp causality, this study investigates the specific characteristics of the meta-affect factor in the process of problem-solving. To do this, we analyzed the types and frequency of data collected from collaborative problem-solving situations composed of 4th~6th grade mathematically gifted children in small group of two. As a result, it can be seen that the type of meta-affect in the problem-solving process of mathematically gifted children is related to the correctness rate of the problem. First, regardless of the success or failure of the problem-solving, the meta-affect appeared relatively frequently in the meta-affect types in which the cognitive factors related to the context of problem-solving appeared first, and acted as the meta-functional type of the evaluation and attitude. Especially, in the case of successful problem-solving of mathematically gifted children, meta-affect showed a very active function as meta-functional type of evaluation.

Analysis of the Effectiveness of Liberal SW Education focused on Developing Computational Thinking and Creative Problem Solving Ability (컴퓨팅사고력, 창의적 문제해결력 신장을 위한 대학 교양 SW 기초 교육의 효과 분석)

  • In liberal SW education, nurturing student with creative problem-solving ability based on SW is considered important. The purpose of this study is to design SW education and to investigate the effects on students' computational thinking and creative problem solving abilities. This study designed classes in accordance with convergent project and the CT-CPS model and 38 undergraduate students have participated this study. The questionnaire survey was given to students and analyzed the effectiveness of class. The results of this study were as follows: Fitst, SW education significantly improved computational thinking and creative problem solving ability. Second, computational thinking improve significantly in high and low initial score group and creative problem solving improve significantly in low initial score group. However, creative problem solving ability did not improve significantly in high initial score group. Third, computational thinking improve significantly in all majors and creative problem solving improve significantly in college of natural science. However, creative problem solving ability did not improve significantly in college of humanities and social science. In examining the effects on students' computational thinking and creative problem-solving abilities and verify differences by pre-test and major, this study provides significance in expanding the understanding about the nature liberal SW education.
