A successful prosthesis is difficult to produce without using the implants in the severely resorbed alveolar ridges and maxillofacial defects. This report describes clinical experience of the overdenture using O-ring attachment. Clinical results have revealed successful application for the O-ring attachment in the two edentulous patients and a partial maxillectomy patient.

It is difficult to provide prosthodontic treatment to fully edentulous patients with severe alveolar bone resorption, because this makes patents hard to endure functional load, and to adapt to the dentures, which result in emotional stress to patients. Implant supported overdenture can be chosen to solve these problems. Among several types of them, the implant retained and tissue supported overdenture, is available to the patients of low masticatory force with the reduced cost. Attachments also can be used for increasing retention and esthetics in dentures. Especially, $Locator^{(R)}$ system needs a small vertical interarch space for restoration and is able to compensate the difference of angle between fixtures. In this study, we restored maxilla with conventional complete denture, and mandible with implant and tissue supported overdenture and $Locator^{(R)}$ system.

All-on-six concept can be used as one of the treatment options to maximize the use of available residual alveolar bone for implant-supported fixed prosthesis on edentulous patients. But this process is complex and cumbersome. Digital system can be used at multiple steps, from implantation to prosthetic restoration, to overcome this shortcoming. In this case of a maxillary edentulous patient aged 76, digital system was used for restoration of 1-piece design, screw retained fixed prosthesis from diagnosis, implant surgery to fabrication of provisional and final prosthesis. For preoperative diagnosis and treatment planning stage, intra-oral information of a patient was digitalized by direct intra-oral scan. Surgical guide and immediate provisional prosthesis was designed based on this digitalized data. Patient's inconvenience was minimized by applying immediate provisional prosthesis, which was delicately fabricated according to the location data of six implants on most suitable residual alveolar bone. Then, final prosthesis was designed and fabricated going through new interim prosthesis which was newly designed and fabricated, considering patient's requests, stable vertical dimension and occlusion, and esthetic factors using digital system. We hereby report a case successfully applying digital system to multiple steps including implant surgery to fabricating prosthesis, to simplify existing complicated implant treatment procedure to an edentulous patient.

In edentulous patients, the advantages of prosthodontic therapy using oral implants include both stability and comfort. Advantages suggested for this approach include the prevention of mandibular bone resorption and increased masticatory function. Implant hybrid prostheses place 4 to 6 implants between the mental foramens, and cantilevers are used to replace the posterior teeth at both ends. The 85 - year - old female patient visited our clinic with complete edentulism in the maxilla and mandible. This article reports a satisfactory clinical and esthetic outcome of full mouth rehabilitation using removable complete denture in the maxilla and implant hybrid prosthesis in the mandible.
